Obsessions have always been my strongest autistic trait. My childhood was hell because of people always telling me that I was "stuck" and needed to "widen my horizons". Obsessions were the only thing that made my childhood bearable.
thankyou for your comments. I find it interesting, to me its seems like there is a ladder or hierachy that fights between my obsessions. Often obsession stem and lead into new or similar obsessions and I find some at random just triggered from an event or something someone says or tells me about. I think its important for aspies to be aware of it because it gives us more of an ability to focus and stay focused on what we really want.
