  • why is white only wearing one glove

  • Please show an update on what you guys look like today when you're sparring.

  • Was für´n Scheiß

  • you should do more controlled sparring...better to be in control than having an all out brawl

  • It sounds like you're tap dancing hahaha

  • Nice full contact girth, but it really doesn't look like wc to me. Lot's of random swinging and what's with the headlock attempts?

  • HOLY CRAP! that floor looks slippery as hell. but very good work ;)

  • LOL... that's what fighting looks like when you train chinese patty cake. Pathetic.

  • What the fuck? He was hitting the back of his head, right at the tip of the cervical. Is this some kind of "fight club" or a respectable dojo? If you hit someone there, that could be detrimental to the person being hit there.

  • @Ronnock

in" respectable" dojos you never hit anyone, never fight for real, basically you do acrobatics and prance around thinking you're a fighter. Not that these guys are good, but anyone who does martial arts and doesn't put it into practice really have no idea what they're doing.

  • @Nudz No, you can have a respectable place of training without it resorting to such a potentially fatal tactic. I agree that there are too many McDojo's now a days (especially with the Easter arts), but you're there to train, not to get injured--and potentially incredibly detrimentally injured--. If you get injured, you can't train, and then it's a waste of time and money and neither the instructor nor the student wants that.

  • @Ronnock

A few years ago I would've agreed with you, but I think it falls into the same category as military training, even if the applications are different. Soldiers who only trained in theory without any live round training or combat with "props" would fare very badly once deployed into action. I think practical use is a must to discover your own reactions and faults.

However, I feel the guys in the video should have trained longer and have been more proficient before sparring.

  • @Nudz Yeah, definitely. I feel as if a student needs to be at least 6 months in the art (whatever it is they train) before they even attempt sparring. And when they do, they need to spar a more senior/seasoned individual/student who has a much better idea of the art and can control oneself quite well.

I can second that notion about theory vs. application, and they guy shouldn't have let the other guy be able to hit him, but 2-5 hits should be enough before the instructor breaks it up.

  • Looks like kidsfight. Nothing special.

  • lame, how is this wing chun?

  • payasos! no hace falta practicar wing chung para hacer eso... dejen de gastar plata.

  • i dont think you need a day of any kind of martial arts to be able to fight like this, what an insult.

  • What a bunch of BS!

    Lol, kondition Zero...after 40 Seconds...ROFLMAO

  • This really goes to show that in a full contact situation, technique will go right out of the door.

  • wie wäre es mal mit ruhig bleiben und Technik machen,

ist schließlich kein Kampf sondern Sparring

    sry echt mieß

  • 100% pure Shite

  • yunuscuk, its pointless to argue. you have your opinion and I have mine. why not try to spend your time more effectively then waste it away spamming and criticizing people who actually post videos of them doing stuff.

  • wtf ? every blue belt BJJ practioner i know would choce the fuck out of them in 30 sec.s ... im not trying to sound tough in yotube .. im serious .. please dont. please dont insult me now, but what i see here is a waste of time .. even a guy who practiced only boxing for a half year would look more technical than that ! .. sorry guys .. i dont find anyone who reminds me of IP-MAN in youtube... all i see is WT guys getting choked t.f.o. by BJJ guys ..

  • saying bjj is better than wt (or criticizing any art over another) is stupid: its like comparing apples to oranges. BJJ focuses on takedowns and the groundfight. WT focuses on trapping. It's like saying "boxing is better than wrestling" or vice versa. They cover different ranges. And just because someone practices BJJ or any style doesnt mean they have some sort of entitlement, to get to an good/elite level like BJ Penn or Royce Gracie takes a lifetime committment, trial, and tribulation.

  • @wasssuuuppp420 the thing is .ok i think i got it ..right bjj is a ground fighting art and wt mostly standup..ok then let us say dirty boxing is better than wt... you know the thing is .. i think every martial art so far has prooven itself (or not) its already clear what works and what not. bjj and wt have different tasks ok, but still you can see which style is more effective in a 1on1 fight when pracitced only for one year by a weak guy or a girl.

  • they said the same thing about karate, until lyoto machida shut everyones big mouth.

  • @wasssuuuppp420 i dont know how long it takes to get level 3 or 6 in wt but let us say those 2 guys in the video have both 1 1/2 years of training. if they cant show their trained techniques in a realistic sparring situation after that amount of training it only shows me that the system is too complicated. you can put 2 untrained guys in there and it would look the same..a guy with one year of boxing experience and just a little talent should knock them out with ease.

  • all styles are different, some take longer others take shorter to learn. some take more strength to do, others less. its all a trade off and a matter of goals.

  • @wasssuuuppp420 i know it mostly depends on the practitioner but not on the art, but its fact that some systems are more realistic than others. if it takes 5 years of intensive training to use techniques in a real life situation i would not choose that art (especially when i look for self defense) we dont start to train in the age of 5 like shaolin kids or stuff. so we need something real.

  • that's your preference, not everyone elses. and you dont need to start training at age 5 to get benefits from long term arts.

  • @wasssuuuppp420 i know a girl who is a blue belt in bjj with 2 years of training and chokes out bouncers with pure technique..she can even defeat a guy like a bear when he has less technique than her and its only grappling. i know she doesnt train in punch or weapon defense. but i bet everything on when it comes to a SD situation shell survive and not the girl with 2 years of WT experience.

  • @wasssuuuppp420 hahahhahah sorry for spamming you but ive recognized one more thing :-) look at 0:08 when the left guy attacks the right one. what does the right guy do ? yes he takes the left guy down instinctively, he grapples him. hes not even trying to block the punches in wt style, no hes grappling him because he feels safer like that. if he knew how to go on after getting him to the ground, he could finish that fight in 30 secs

  • like I said, apples to oranges.

  • @yunuscuk this was for my judo background! :D (I'm the right guy:) ;) ) well, you have to know that -and i've tell this a lot of time- i was a noob, i was at the 6th month of practice. :)

  • at this point you're just arguing for the sake of not admitting youre wrong. commenting on youtube is stupid, because no one is commenting to learn: they just want to talk smack about what other people are doing. so whatevs.

  • not wing chun, but why everytime i watch wing chun sparring is just somthing like this

  • @fonduebaby Why do you think? Its pretty obvious..Wing Chun is flawed hence why whenever you see Full contact WC/WT all technique just goes out the window and it looks terrible. This is because the art is fundamentally flawed.

  • really suck..

  • What the fuck is this?! this is nohting but fucking brawling!! fucking formless crap!

  • @texandriller well... you are pretty right (i'm the kid without t-shirt), but you have to understand that it was not much more than exercise for 2 noobs (i was at the 6th month). I think that the real intenction of our instructor was to delete the fear of the " " real " " contact. Sorry for my terrible english, it's too much time that i don't use it

  • What a crap.

  • wtf!??!

  • While I have the utmost respect for people who engage in full contact sparring, this is one of the worst things I've ever seen in Martial Arts. Hitting to the back of the head?!?!? You could kill someone doing that. Go hard, but don't be so stupid.

  • @benfu1 I can tell your someone who has'nt done alot of full contact sparring. Wing Chun is a flawed art thats why it looks bad under pressure. Irt sounds good in theory but does'nt work in practise. Nobody is gonna get hurt from those Wimpy WC arm punches.

  • You can tell I'm someone who hasn't done a lot of full contact sparring because I think it's stupid to punch people in the back of the head? I practice Thai boxing and have boxed for many years my friend. I do agree that Wing Chun is flawed. It looks like crap under pressure because it doesn't really work.

  • Its true you should'nt punch each other in the back of the head it shows among other things a total lack of control. I dont think you need to worry about anyone getting hurt from those punches though as they contain no power.

My apologies, Muai Thai is a proper fighting art.

  • Wimpy WC arm punches? .... you mean the hammer fists to the kidneys or the elbow strikes to the back of the neck? ..... yeahhhh that would NEVER work in a real fight, lmao.

  • Wello show me some evidence (either video or otherwise) of it actually working then.

Think of it this way the IWTA is the largest martial arts org in the World with over 2 million members. Why then is it so hard to find decent footage of WT in an alive enviroment (not compliant drills!)

Seriously i did WT for 5 years the art is totally flawed.

  • you dont need to be a rocket scientist to realize things like eye gouging, kidney shots, groin shots, and strikes to the back of the neck will work. If you really want to do that full force in sparring you deserve to be seriously injured because of it.

  • Of course but to be able to apply anything in fighting you have to have trained techniques under pressure. I do MMA and get punched in the throat, kicked in the groin regularly these things are rarely fight enders despite what they teach you in WC.

Anyone can bite or eye gouge these things take NO skill - Alive training is the ONLY way to learn how to fight.

Dead Drills and patterns have no place in reality.

  • MMA is good but its not everything. To be narrowminded is foolish. Alot of martial arts spar, not just mma.Sparring isnt the only avenue for self defense. To prove you're the best fighter in the world, you need to work hard, have the talent, train for the ring and be in your prime. Is every opponent on the street going to be rashad evans? Are you going to be able to spar full contact when your 60 or 70? Should you atleast have some self defense preparation? You'll learn now or the hard way.

  • if you got punched, really punched in the groin or throat you'd lose your testicles or die. I've seen it happen in other full contact sports quite often.

  • Youve seen it happen in other sports? ha ha i was European Sanshou Champion and have NEVER seen anything like that happen. You are full of shit!

  • European Sanshou Champion? You are such a fucking liar. I've seen accidental eye gouges in ufc, they have to stop the fight midway and give the guy a penalty before restarting. I've seen groin shots in kickboxing, soccer, football and lacrosse matches. I've seen throat strikes in streetfights and that usually ends it. So kiss my ass you dumb fuck. Talk all the shit you want on youtube, it doesnt change the fact that what you're trying to argue is retarded.

  • Sure we've all seen accidental eye gouges or groin kicks.. doh thats not what im saying. The point im trying to make is throat strikes, groin shots etc.. are not as 'deadly' as some arts try to claim. Besides any technique you cant practise aginst a fully resisting opponent you'll never really be able to master. Its all about alive training. (retard.)

I was European Shanshou Champion in 2002 representing STUK.

  • not a wing chun technique thrown

  • I have noticed that anytime a Wing Chun practitioner is under pressure they resort to basic strikes. Then I also notice that Chunners will automatically claim "this is not Wing Chun"

Chunners need to visit a Thai club to learn how to properly spar and learn proper striking techniques.

  • no wing chun

  • Oh dear!

  • Come on man you could at least push away your opponent to attack again, why sty in grappling position and then hope to throw a punch which won't be effective.

Then a takedown would be better, you could at least test your skills of the 5 distances.

And that's a 3rd grace LT WT talking here ;-)

  • a bunch of shit. leung tings wing tsun? looks like any cave man can do that shit

  • jajajajajajajajajajajaja

    eso no es wing tsung

  • loke like 2 drunken morrons..thats not wing tsun!!

  • They should spar wearing mullets. It would add to the realism. lol.

  • @erbsbiber IT'S WT!!! WT for noobies, but it's wt! :) 2 guys at the 6th month of boxe or thai, are not much different from what we have do more than 4 years ago, i'm sure! :)

  • No Wing Chun Here

  • And that's what Wing Chun looks like in a fight :P

  • @monkfg no, it's what Wc noobies, at the first experience of "real contact" like in a fight! :)

  • this is not ving tsun this is to guys beating each other,no elbows inside no hands up alot of necessary leg first learn how to use your hands and after use your legs very poor

  • @yipman30 it's ving tsun... That we have tries to apply for our experience! how i've just say to another, i was at the 6th month, the other guy at the 1st year, more or less. Relax! :) ;)

  • Yes, that's good...real practice...it's not so easy to apply your knowledge in uncontrolable fight...keep moving guys!!!

  • ok, so it's called wing tsun sparring, and i have no doubt that they both know wing tsun, but they aren't applying it in this.

i don't know what to call that.

  • lol.

  • @ClaudioIsGod2113 call it "noobies sparring/fight" ! :) it's what we were, noobies.... :)

  • @ClaudioIsGod2113 call it "noobies sparring/fight" ! :) it's what we were, noobies.... :)

  • It's real.. there is no techique.. because we were nubbies! :):) Yes, i am one of theme, the guy without t shirt. The video is old, 2004 and i was at the 2nd month of practice, the other guy at the 1st year. We have do what we have learned in a couple of months. Bye!

  • The fact that you have the balls to do full contact sparring already deserves respect.

  • looks like a bitch slap fest

  • Two things people need to realize why watching this; 1- Wing Tsun people train very diligently, learning to make proper techniques. 2- This is what it really takes to have a understanding of real combat. NO one should every train as if they will be victorous in a fight with out learning in a uncontrolled enviroment. Some people may disagree with this, but it is real, and this can not be denied.

  • das isch doch kein wing chun mehr xD

  • Flailsao

  • i been doing wing chun for da past 8 years n thats not wing chun their foot work form da begning is crap i do alot of sparing n it dose not end up lyk they ended up evey sunday i spar mantis, kickboxers, karatae and juijitsu fighters.

  • Could we see your sparring?

  • this is an excellent sample of wing chun sparring. they kept their fore arms touching for chi sao, and hit hard and fast. it may not look pretty but it works

  • lol

  • where is the wing chun in that video..i ddnt see any wing chun...load of shit...however most street fights seem to be like that

  • most street fights end up like that!!!!

  • buena demostracion que a la hora de los quiubo WC WT y esos sistemas raros y de puro marketing terminan por aplicar kickboxing, judo o lucha.

  • where is the point in showing this video under the title "wing tsun sparring"? These creeps definetly didnt do much wing tsun techniques...thats not a big deal because they are beginners, but why do you post at all?

  • Needs alot of practice. Alot of 'Chunners' tend to look like bad kickboxers when they spar- this is because they dont train in this way often enough.

This sort of training can only be beneficial as it teaches you to learn how to calm yourself down and think when the adrenaline is flowing.

  • It looked liked a girly fight..Where was the WT style??

  • Well one was 6th Student grade and other 3rd so ur not gonna see much there.....

  • That's no excuse... if you are a 6 grade student you should have at least 1,5 year experience and have a good stand up position... a thing i haven't seen in this video..

  • Blame the instrutor then!?

  • Yeah..maybe...There's no such thing as a bad student

  • In my own opinion if I was gonna do summit like that then like the moment the guy twitches I'm going in and knocking them down...

  • It seems that no matter one's training, adrenaline overrides all and you end up with a brawl. It takes a lot of experience to move with control.

  • 100% agree with that. there is no such thing as clean fight

  • esto no es wing chun, hay muy poco wing chun

no veo ninguna aplicacion de pak sao, ni de tan sao ni de nada, parece pelea de perros y de niños chicos

esto es violencia sin ningun tipo de tecnica

  • No this isnt good, theyre both panicking, even boxers arnt that anxious. everythin went out the window. one guy just wants to knok the other guy out, but he forgot the guy is also trained in wing chun...in boxing or muay thai each fighter systematically takes theyre time in deconstructing their opponents defences, n doesnt hype up in2 a blind rage like this guy.they look 4 openings, retreat if they have to etc, wing chun is suppose 2 b still n only move when necessary

  • Im sorry, but I agree with watts1000, there is no technique here, people gets out of the way they supose to fight when they get a little nervous, they start fighting like to thugs on the streets, just like this video.

    TOTALY AGREED

  • they are disabled by the mask

  • 9/10 for alive training, 3/10 for technique! you suck! what is the point of spending years learning a fighting art just to fight the same way you did when you where at school? Wing Tsun... LMAO

  • Im sorry, but I agree with watts1000, there is no technique here, people gets out of the way they supose to fight when they get a little nervous, they start fighting like to thugs on the streets, just like this video.

  • ohhh why? why has WC come to this?

  • finally close to real!!!good training!! go on!!!

  • lol THEYRE DANCING

  • nice wt :P

  • It looks goofy, and yes, there wasn't much technique to it. In other words, it looked very much like a real fight. If that's what they're training for, they did ok.

  • Yes drtzeus is right!

They are 3 and 6 level student grade, what do u want?

    Remember:

"The pratice is the only way to the true!" (Bhudda)

  • Its 2 student grade people why you being hard on them? They have trained and now they tested themselves. Real fights aren't pretty.

  • LOL what a joke!

  • change the style name to ''Apeshit''

  • Forget Wing Chun, is that even martial arts? I'm sorry, I don't like to 'bash' styles/practioners (no fighter/ art is perfect), but I've seen this behaviour before from certain types of agressive people in their first lesson. In my old kung fu class usually they learnt this was not MA (via a sidestep and open palm to the face as they dashed forwards aimlessly was my friend's way of teaching :-))

  • OHHHHH MY GOD! an embarressmeng to the Wing Tsun Community....

  • ULTRA SHIT

  • thats not wing chun, fuckin joke, get outta here, i've seen kids use wing chun better than that...useless.

  • It IS possible that they're beginners. It does take time to learn to APPLY technique which is possible. Of course, if you're just looking to bash the system that's the only thing you'll see.

  • a prefect example of what happens when any wing tsun person gets in a real fight. all technique goes out the door. if you want wrestle then learn wrestling or bjj if you want to strike learn boxing or muay thai. if you want to be a movie star or learn how to strike to the grion then do wing tsun. what a joke..lol

  • thats exactly what i have been thinking for soooo long! we see a lot of fancy wingtsun demonstrations that looks like it could kick ass, but then in real combat it looks as if the fight was taken out of a schoolyard.

  • This is a cat fight, right? Anything else would be a joke, like all of the WT Crap...

  • I can look outside my door and see that on the street.Where is the wing chun, that was a brawl no technique.come on brothers you all can do better.

  • Step 1: Get some sensible shoes so you aren't skating across that floor. Or go bare foot.

Step 2: Learn to yup mah (entering your opponent's stance) without getting kicked in the nuts or lunging forward.

Step 3: Want to learn to grapple? Then work on your grapple. Want to train your sensitivity? Do more chi sao. Doing a half-ass job of both at the same time nets you nothing.

  • dumb. what is the point of practicing in the clinch if you are not going to learn how to escape it or take down. Waist of energy. They need to get some mats and do it right.

  • Bad.

  • I really had to laugh hard at this, they are slow and have NO clue of what they are doing. Seems all their training went ... swoosh... out of their heads as soon as they hit eachother for the first time. Any schoolboy would have fought exactly the same...maybe more effective.

  • ... sparring is important, but, where's the technique ???
