I agree to an extent. Every person is responsible for his or her's actions. BUT using your own analogy... it is unwise for a mental nurse/doctor to provoke a mental patient. You can't blame the talk show hosts. This guy was obviously insane and more than likely had a troubled childhood. It was his parents responsibilty to raise him so that he would know right from wrong. When he became an adult, it then became his own responsibility. Do YOU take everything you hear to heart? Most people analyze and make a decision whether or not the way they are feeling is justified. Whatever actions come of those feelings lies solely with the person taking those actions.
As a father myself, I can say it is getting increasingly harder to raise children. You can tell him that killing is bad, but what are his friends telling him? How well are his friends' parents raising them? What is he supposed to believe when he kills 100's to 1000's of people on his video game? When he sees violence on his streets every day? Most parents have lost the power to raise our children right. Most are too busy or consumed with themselves for it. Therefore, it is our fault as a whole.

Good common sense, morals, and values needs to be injected back into our society. We need to reintroduce the importance of family and what that means. Glenn beck preaches this all the time and I believe most people would agree that it is a major problem.
Let's get real. There are a lot of people out there that want to get rid of guns and want Congress to pass legislation to do it. These people won't stop until they get their way. Now they are turning to an international treaty to do so. Most people who do buy guns, do so legally and primarily for security reasons. If they ban guns, they will take them away from the responsible, and the irresponsible out there will still get them illegally. Just look at Katrina. Buy stock in gun manufacturers.
I guess Cenk never read the US Attorney General Eric Holder memoradum about tightening the ban on "assault riffles". In fact, Holder was the one who argued the Washington, DC, case, were he defended the city's possition of banning ALL guns, even those that are liscensed. Thankfully, the USSC upheld the fundamental right to own guns in the US. Beck's point was that the guy should be held accountable for HIS actions, not blame "guns" for what the guy did.

You must understand however that your rights to own a gun are not being infringed upon simply because you are paying more taxes on those same guns. I happen to agree with Taxing guns more heavily because anything you tax is always diminished to some extent simply because it is taxed.

Why are guns so holy that in your view they should not be taxed? Guns are a product they are things that are bought and sold. Political speech is neither bought nor sold, and I think it would be difficult if not impossible to tax your political speech which is protected by the constitution. I agree that guns should have a basic sales tax, but I don't agree that they should be heavily tax. And what I meant by continuous tax, is that Obama wants to license every gun people have and make them pay a monthly or yearly tax on it. (At least he did, I'm not sure if he flipped on that.)
Also if you could find a way to banned political speech, I'm pretty sure someone can find a way to tax it. But I was just using that as an example.

I don't really understand why you mention that he's an avowed homosexual; what's wrong with that? And yes, children are taught that heterosexuality is "right" from a young age. This is obviously archaic and currently changing. He's foolish to reference Romeo & Juliet as "hetero propaganda" though, considering Shakespeare's work hums with homosexuality.
Of course, if he is a supporter of NAMBLA, he isn't fit for the role, but "connected with" is kinda vague. I'll have to check the records.

You can say both. YES, people are accountable for their actions to a degree, but people who encourage them or aren't careful what they say also need to share part of the blame.

You can't blame the talk show hosts. This guy was obviously insane and more than likely had a troubled childhood. It was his parents responsibilty to raise him so that he would know right from wrong. When he became an adult, it then became his own responsibility. Do YOU take everything you hear to heart? Most people analyze and make a decision whether or not the way they are feeling is justified. Whatever actions come of those feelings lies solely with the person taking those actions.

As a father myself, I can say it is getting increasingly harder to raise children. You can tell him that killing is bad, but what are his friends telling him? How well are his friends' parents raising them? What is he supposed to believe when he kills 100's to 1000's of people on his video game? When he sees violence on his streets every day? Most parents have lost the power to raise our children right. Most are too busy or consumed with themselves for it. Therefore, it is our fault as a whole.

Let's get real. There are a lot of people out there that want to get rid of guns and want Congress to pass legislation to do it. These people won't stop until they get their way. Now they are turning to an international treaty to do so. Most people who do buy guns, do so legally and primarily for security reasons. If they ban guns, they will take them away from the responsible, and the irresponsible out there will still get them illegally. Just look at Katrina. Buy stock in gun manufacturers.

I guess Cenk never read the US Attorney General Eric Holder memoradum about tightening the ban on "assault riffles". In fact, Holder was the one who argued the Washington, DC, case, were he defended the city's possition of banning ALL guns, even those that are liscensed. Thankfully, the USSC upheld the fundamental right to own guns in the US. Beck's point was that the guy should be held accountable for HIS actions, not blame "guns" for what the guy did.

Beck can support some of what Obama does (reasonable background checks), AND can be critical of what Obama does (trying to ban all guns as "assualt riffles"). Of course it;s not about my feelings. It's about what the state policy of Eric Holder, who advocated the government's right to ban "assualt weapons" (which can be defined by the gov't). You SHOULD have a healthy level of skepticism of the government, no matter the party affiliation. Otherwise, you'll end up supporting Bush for two terms. :P

You must understand however that your rights to own a gun are not being infringed upon simply because you are paying more taxes on those same guns. I happen to agree with Taxing guns more heavily because anything you tax is always diminished to some extent simply because it is taxed.

Why are guns so holy that in your view they should not be taxed? Guns are a product they are things that are bought and sold. Political speech is neither bought nor sold, and I think it would be difficult if not impossible to tax your political speech which is protected by the constitution. Comparing free speech to guns is NOT intellectually honest. What do u mean "continuous tax" anyway? Guns need to be taxed just like cigs and booze it is no different.

I agree that guns should have a basic sales tax, but I don't agree that they should be heavily tax. And what I meant by continuous tax, is that Obama wants to license every gun people have and make them pay a monthly or yearly tax on it. (At least he did, I'm not sure if he flipped on that.)
Also if you could find a way to banned political speech, I'm pretty sure someone can find a way to tax it. But I was just using that as an example.
And owning a gun IS protected by the Constitution too.

Fascism is a political philosophy steeped in nationalism, in which a single-party state is created, limiting civil rights and part of that is state control over the corporate sector. At its heart, fascism is about losing individual rights in favour of the "rights" of the nation.

Do you have to have a big degree or something to understand the word lame? I listened to entire thing and did not hear one fact. Yelling "Fire" in a theater is not a First Amendment Right so that is a poor comparison. You would have to be an idiot/crazy to take Beck's bloodsucker comment literally. The onus of providing evidence is on those who make the claims in the first place.
If you believe the bible is in any way, shape or form historical and scientific accurate, show it. Back up your claims with some hard evidence.
The difference between you and I is that, I don't need you to "prove that south park is fiction" for I know a fictional character when I see one.
