  • What a badass

  • I think they looked lost cause its a track playing, not really the musicians O_o. They're finger-syncing. And terribly, at that. Don't get me wrong, I love REK, but this is terrible.

  • @drprimate They wouldn't get away with finger-syncing at ACL. I can assure you that they aren't pulling any shenanigans like that here. This is Texas, you can't fuck around with us like that.

  • love his music up here in New Brunswick ,Canada too !

  • Texas Country over any type of country any day of the week! Robert Earl Keen da KING

  • @revspyder sure is danny barnes! robert earl and danny barnes and it don't get much better~

  • Is that Danny Barnes playing Banjo?

  • sweet

  • I saw him Saturday night, man that was great!

  • Sittin on the poch on a hot summer day drinkin moonshine feelin good again :)

  • He is truly a Texas country legend

  • The camera operator must have felt real good

  • The camera operator must have felt real good again

  • @gotnomilk1 Ha! Can you blame him?

  • If you're ever lucky enough to find yourself on "ol' Main Street" in Bandera, Texas, you'll notice Arkie Blue's "Silver Dollar". Walk down that flight of stairs and you'll see the inspiration for one of my favorite REK tunes.

  • Caught the show in memphis. Awesome!!! paid 20 bucks if only to hear the Christmas song and he did it as the encore. jammed for 10 minutes! Worth it! Gotta love alittle R.E.K!

  • Love it..Got Bob's aut -o-graph on the top of my Blueridge Flattop

  • feelin' good!

  • God... Damn!!

  • Danny Barnes looks pretty totally lost here. like someone just told him "hey, stand here and hold your banjo for a few minutes."

  • I have yet to tire of this song. Wonder if he does....

  • no matter how low i get this song always puts a smile on my face :)

  • REK is a lot like John Prine; great story songs loaded with lyrics.

Saw him 2 nights in a row; completely different shows and both fantastic.

  • I love how all of his live tracks have the whole crowd singing with him.

  • REK has been my dad's and mine 'go-to-guy' ever since I was little. I grew up listening to him and my first ever concert I went to was REK. I'm eighteen now and am so thankful my dad played me artists like REK, The Jayhawks, Fleetwood Mac, and Trick Pony when I was young. I hate how other people my age just don't know about the great music like this out there!

  • @APoisonedAishiteru Thanks for sharing that great story. REK is and will go down as one of the great songwriters though many don't even know the guy. Heartening to hear your appreciation. Down the road you will find he was doing more than just sharing the 'good stuff' in music and songwriting. You are very fortunate- again, great post!

  • God Bless him. I've been watching him since 1988 and watch him "grow up". What a great ride!

  • I love this song!!!

  • REK is great and this song is one of his 2 or 3 best.

  • It's so sad mainstream listeners do not know about robert!!! It's a mighty shame

  • Yes He is incredible......When I heard this on satalite I actually pulled to side of road.......Would be cool to have studio version on here...what a cool friend song!

  • @xxxzapskimxxxtx77532 it's what keeps him special ;)

  • Texas is Great ; cold beer, great music, and women

  • Love this tune. Robert Earl - (if you ever happen to read this) Jo at the Sons of Hermann said you're a perfect gentleman, so good on you!

  • love REK and this song

  • I love this guy. I wish I could feel good again!!!

  • This is so much better than the studio version!

  • why is there never a video of sonora's death row?

  • seeing him tonight in knoxville. cant fucking wait

  • Sir Robert Earl Keen Jr. and the crowd seem to be the only ones there with a pulse... The band needs to be shocked back to life, gotta love the song though.

  • danelectro longhorn bass! no way!! those things are crazy cool

  • This song is about so much more than what the words say...about those perfect days, perfect moments, perfect times that are so temporary...but to be savored properly when they occur. Great poetic stuff...

  • He's opening for DMB in Cincinnati! Woot woot!

  • @ukdawgs08 hell yeah!...ill be there cant freakin wait...i hadnt heard of robert earl keen but hes got some good stuff!

  • God bless TX country

  • Oh go jump out of the gene pool you inbred fuck, and leave smart enough alone. idiot assclown.

  • you showed your inbred ass in this ignorant comment, loser!

  • Nice, some douchenozzle decides he WAS taught how to write at some point and must spew shit out with his paws, OK, Ill go with it, monkey.

  • Here's to yesteryear! IT feels so good feeling good again!

  • LOL i have NEVER seen such a contrasting song/comments. I was shocked, while listening to such a peaceful, relaxing song (titled "feeling good again"), to look down and see nothing but angry and hateful comments. Threw me off a bit

great song and great artist though

  • I'm Italian..and I love this guy..great, really great..

  • jackass

  • cday73, it's high time you suck on my ball sack...

    ~D in Austin

  • what a great REAL liberal!! His music transcends redneckary douchebaggery!! Go REK!! True liberal soul!!

  • @infinitstars

You are a fuckin retarded mutt is what you are.

  • Yeah! Im the retard. Fuckin conservative assclown.

  • This song has NOTHING to fuckin do with politics, and yet you feel the need to cram your idealistic bullshit down the throat of everyone you see, even here.

If you cannot hear that, you must be a deaf, retarded prick.

  • Nothing you say? whos the retard? You, you asshole.

  • Cockhatches like you try to read Liberal agendas into fucking everything so you feel more important than the drug addled fuckin bum that you are.

Give it a fuckin rest. Texas hates people like you.

  • Oh, one of those fucking jerkwad conspiracy theory fuckstains.

Might want to do a little mirrorcheck for the real hate, you hypocrite fuck. Peace doesnt work when you hate most everyone fuckbrain.

Its people like you that wont last 2 days in the end. We will just shoot your type and take your shit.

PS Fucknut. I am atheist, pro choice, pro gay, realistic and i have a BS in an Earth science. You are nothing but an indolent fucking blowhole clown.

  • @leakystarfish Yeah typical fuckin response from a facist asshole. "ill shoot you, cuz im a weak little prick conservaclown, and thats all we can do is murder shit". Atheist or not, you are still a conservative nazi fuck. Go suck on Sarah Palins cock you evil dick.

  • I cant really understand you with Obama's dick so far down your throat.

Default mode of the idiot: Call people facist, Hitler, or Nazi without even minimal understanding of any of the terms.

You are embarrasing yourself, hippie faggot.

  • Conspiracy theory? You are obviously inbred, go fuck your mother/sister.

Oh, Im sure this will go right over your recessive gene ass, but the "default mode" is called Godwins law, which doesnt apply because if it was up to conservatives, all they dont like WOULD be in concentration camps, gays, blacks, smart women, hippies, progressives, educated people, university students, people who are for sustainability, liberals, Jesus if he existed. Go stick your greedy little viagra cock in your mom/sis.

  • Godwins "Law" is satire you indolent fuckbrain.

The only reason it works is because fucking idiots like you have nothing better to talk about so you automatically assume that everyone without tofu in their mouth and a dick in their ass is a Fascist or a Nazi.

Just further evidence showing that you truly might be the dumbest mother fucker on the internet.

  • @infinitstars fuck you, fick leakystarfish. Both are uneducated, both have nothing but hatespeak to spread. Please beleive what you each wish but it is YOUR business and YOURS along, express yourself in the polls. I am a conservative, i have black, hispanic, jew, "halfbred" friends. I would much rather have a republican, a regan-esk republican at that, in the white house. I am a Catholic, a Pro-life, anti-gay MARRIAGE, but then again to each his own. I beleive in one man and one woman for life

  • what are you talking about?did mommy beat you too much?

  • REK on Imus this morning-great stuff

  • 7th Gen Texan...love the Red dirt and texas country music scene. Everytime REK comes around, I'm there!

  • REK is the reason i payed $275 for Bonaroo tix. i cant wait!!

  • Too bad ACL has sold out now, and become a rip off shit hole in Austin, bringing in all the rich yuppie fucks.

  • he's opened with this (classic) song both times that i've seen him. does he always/usually?

  • Last time I saw him, he opened with 5 Pound Bass

  • I don't think so. I've seen him three times and he's never opened with this song. He played it all three times, but around the middle of the concert.

  • yeah. my neighbor's this old coast guard guy and he's cool as hell. he goes to every bluegrass fest that ever happens within 500 miles and pretty much just lives bluegrass... anyway, he's probably mid 50s or older, but he's still into all this great bluegrass and alt.country/americana/whatever... country other than CMT pop autoune bullshit. he was surprised REKj opened with it the one time he went with me & reckoned it a good idea and 'bold.' thanks. is he touring around the southeast now

  • Not sure. I saw him about three weeks ago in San Francisco, so he could really be anywhere right now. xD But I'd guess heading around there soon.

  • i am listing to this at work its mid march beautifula outside and i want to just walk out the door and go drink beer i hate my job

  • seen them in Ft. Worth last saturday night and man it was good

  • Thank You REK

  • REK is America's Van Morrison. His songs have so much feeling. Saw him at the "not strickly blue grass" thingy in SF.

  • where's van from?

  • i had asked "where's is van from," but yeah i found out... ireland. heh... i had no idea.. he sounds so 'american' (cliche is that is and if there is such a sound as an 'american' one). good characterization.

  • I hear ya. All these foreign guys sing like Americans, yet they all speak different languages from other countries. You would never know. I appreciate the diverse cultures. Music brings us all together in peace.

  • REK live in Athens, GA Tonight....oh yeah i'm going to feel so good again!

  • good song for a friday

  • This song makes me think about going home to georgetown SC. That place sucks

  • I love this song too, reminds me of my dear sister.

  • i'd love to see him perform this song. the next best thing was being in Arkie Blues one summer Saturday evening listening to a bunch of great musicians in the round. when they got thru, the first song on the jukebox was this. how appropriate. felt like being home.

  • I'm not huge on Country Music, but I do like Robert Earl Keen. And this, is definitely, my favorite by him.

  • I love this song, my favorite by Robert Earl Keen.

  • Favorite Robert Earl Song Of All Time! Love it

  • Is this not the BEST end-of-a-bad-week song? It always makes me smile. Thanks, Robert Earl!

  • I mostly listen to thrash and death metal, but I still love REK.

  • Needed this one. Always good to be noticed.
