Well done! I wish there were more opportunities for young adventurers like myself to do the same thing. In Zambia, I have hiked down to the bottom of Victoria Falls and would love to do the same thing at Keiteur Falls.
Bob, you seem like a nice guy....So, I have to ask..Do you spend much time in the outdoors on a regular basis? The impression I get is that the answer is no. I would happily take that trip anytime and THRIVAL would be the name of my game, not survival. These forest are being burned and cut far faster than anyone, Man or Mother Nature can replace them and when they are gone,.....so are we...Enjoy the moment.
@jovialduke I do not agree here with you, if trees are planted near the forest which have the biodiversity it will take over the "new" terrain, just like nature always did. That's why I am againt misinformation, most of the warnings are to make people scared. People these days want the truth, not perceptions. Do not mix fact and fiction !
Nice little documentary... but at the moment according to satellite pics some areas where deforested but overall there is more forest then 15 years ago. in the world ..strange isn't it. This is because of replanting trees. The activists do not tell you..because they are losing money if the public knows it. Same as the polar bear near to extinct ...forget it there are more then ever..30,000 polar bears.

@Trailtraveller You can't replant rainforest, it never regains the biodiversity it had before. The replanted forest is for wood harvesting.
