  • I like Thenardier to be a little sleezier sounding, but, eh..

  • life long shhhh...

    haha loved it

  • another thought. I have performed the role of Javert with CYC and I think a big part of this show is based on the main characters perceptions of god. Valjeans god is forgiving, Javerts is not, and Thernardier does not believe in god.

  • Javert is an amazing powerful man, you must have one hell of a voice to play him. I love when he sing "Stars" Best of luck playing Thenardier he was always my favorite.

  • I personally like the voices not being in cockney. Its a french play done in english and other than showing their standing in society, I don't really see why that character would have one. While Thernardier is the bad guy of the show, I am currently rehearsing to play the role and I want to play him as a normal man trying to get by as best he knows and can do in a tough society.

  • You're voices are a little proper for your respected characters, but you both sing amazingly! The chorus was a little soft, but we could still tell what they were saying (or else that's just me because I know the words). My highschool is doing Les Miserables and I play Madame Thenardier. My friend Dan will be playing Thenardier. Do you have any suggestions for us about preforming? I mean, you already have experience preforming the parts, and I've never been in a HS production, so I was wondering

  • I would love to play Thenardier if my school would do Les Miserables.

  • This is very entertaining. Too bad your audience is kinda dead.

  • Voices are too soft and you seem to proper. Great voices just not right for these character.

  • you guys have really good voices but you didnt really get into character. i know how hard it is cause i played madame thernardier. i'd love to see you in something else cause you can tell that your very talented. all in all it wasnt bad well done!!

  • sry into character wasnt d best thing 2 say...cause your acting was good...just your voices are too posh!

  • Exactly. But still, awesome job!

  • I agree with you babbagecabb. If you study Thenardier's backstory, he was in the Napoleanic Wars, and arrived "late" to Waterloo. He then crawled through the dead bodies, like Dog Eat Dog. That's why he's a gruff character.

    Good job!

  • I agree as well I was wondering why they sounded so polished their voices are sopossed to crack

  • the pair's voices were a bit to prim and proper

    they're gruff and low characters

  • ugggh I was just looking at this again, I can't even bear to watch the video. I'm so awkward on stage. *barfs*

  • i love al lthe action in this, some school productions only the person tlaking is moving, so boring, this is great with visual jokes and more, 5 stars

  • I go to this school

  • did you check out chrissy's video which i finally got on here? search "i dreamed a dream chrissy"

  • an excallent preformance but i think he needs to be a little less posh and a bit more slimmy to make him seem more bad

  • This is great! Lots of original blocking that's creative, and awesome characterization. Pity about the sound quality from that camera, though. The biggest thing I noticed is that you're moving in a more real, convincing way than most high school Thenarediers I've seen, including me. Five stars!

  • Oops, sorry, typo. It was late at night. Anyhow, I also want to say that your band was awesome too! Your brass are better than most I've heard.

  • LOL wow that was the worst night for our orchestra.

  • You got the part because you're a kick-ass Mme. Thenardier.

  • Wow, I thought Madame Thenardier was in this song too!?

Oh wait, I forgot, I don't get a name, I'm just the wife.

It's okay Jimmy I'm not insulted that you omitted my name completely, I don't want people knowing this terrible performance was me anyway. I seriously don't know how I got the part.

  • LOL that above comment is my mother.

    she's insane

she wants you to post every song, regardless of quality.

  • Jimmy, you Rock!...where is Fantine??

  • How come it seems the people who post Les Mis highschool videos are always the Thenardiers? lol

Anyway, great job - you play him well, and you can also really sing!

  • i've noticed tht too and in my production, it'll probably be the same as i'm the techy one out of the cast! lol
