1:10 Definitely more fuel efficiency and lots more heat. While I have not measured or tracked usage I really notice it, just by how fast the pile goes down - and I burn 24/7.
I have one stove in my place (an old VC Defiant) with a rectangular combustor ceramic in the back secondary combustion chamber.
I don't run hardly at all without my catalytic combuster active. Except (obviously) during fuel reloading, it would be stupid not to use it.
