@ThisizChaveze Clearly the 19 is the choice for a range/carry gun. The 19 can do anything the 17 can, is more concealable, and is lighter. For the additional size you don't get much with the 17 over the 19. The loss of two extra rounds and a little bit of sight radius is a very small price to pay for a more carryable gun. This is ignoring the fact that you can easily use 17/19 round G17 mags as well as the 33 round G18 mags in the G19.
@li7in6 thanks man i apreciate the advice i've made my decision and im going to get the 19, i get my concealed carry permit next saturday on the 17th, the only pistol i have now is a Hi-point C-9, I found a holster that conceals it pretty good, its not the best gun and its kinda heavy, but it gets the job done, not as reliable as the glock would be but i'll use it for now
@ThisizChaveze IMO the G19 is the clear choice for anyone that ever plans to carry. And the nice thing about the G19 is that it isn't THAT small, it easily keeps up with the full frame guns in every catagory including capacity and accuracy. Either gun will be more accurate than you are and 15/17 rounds more than enough for any conceivable situation PLUS the option to carry more in the form of G17 and G18 mags.
@JonDS317 well the for me airsoft is to play war games and toys are associated with games, so i agree they are toys. but i don't think they are a waste of money. its just a hobby
@JAllenAustralia thats not Gen4 man, that's a customized gen3, at the making of that vid there wasn't an OD green gen4 i don't think there is one now....just look at the mag release...the gen 4 mag release is about 2x the size of that and is configured in a way that is horizontal as apposed to the one on here which is vertical.... :/
@ernestas111 i would say a glock 19 because it can fit glock 17 magazines and glock 19 magazines and you could carry it easier look up hickok45 on glock 19
@JAllenAustralia watch the video on youtube you see the cops shoot the guy in the gut like 3 times dont faze him i mean i want a nine but if i ever had to use it i will be ready to do more follow up shoots then if it was a 40the other thing with a 40 is that i dont feel as bad if i need to youse 180 grain target ammo vs having to use 9mm target ammo
@whannes Don't suppose I could trouble you for two more questions could I? #1 The grips? (the things that look like skateboard tape) #2 If you know anything about the rumour of Glock considering dicontinuing the OD frames?
@ShadowTempest42 Sure. That would be the "decal grip" i believe, here in a rubberised version if i dont misremember. and to second question, i dont know. have heard of that rumour though. happy shooting!
@ShadowTempest42 Just for the record though, they have the "skateboard" variation available for Glocks, sand paper basically, but that is not what is being used here.
@whannes Kk, thanks, and about you saying: "Happy shooting!". I wish! I'm just 14 and I live in Canada so I'm far from ever touching a gun :P (No need to preach safety and overeagerness to me I understand general safety of a firearm *cough* better than expert/failvillage *cough*)
I think replica guns could be effective. 99% of the time police don't use their guns but its the presence of a gun that makes people back down. In the heat of the moment the vast majority of people aren't going to be able to tell the difference. Where I live open carry and concealed carry are Illegal, so if it were legal to carry a real looking gun I could use the threat of its "use" to survive. People have robbed banks with candy bars in their pockets.
@thegamechiken I'm a moron? You're the dipshit that posted about something that you don't even remotely understand. Isn't that the definition of a moron? The answer is yes.
@thegamechiken Charging Handle: Aluminum construction; Grip: I already mention it was plastic; Trigger Assembly: All steel construction; Forward Assist; All steel construction; Sights: Steel construction; Safety/Selector: Steel construction; Foregrip: Again, I already mentioned this was a plastic component. Obviously you have never handled a real AR15/M16. Like I said get educated before posting. Now go back to your queer airsoft toys.
@a2birdcage wow wow wow, Airsoft has nothing about your sexuality to do, actually most people that i know of that is homosexual, dislike replica firearms and real firearms.
@a2birdcage they are not "toy guns", in most countries they go under the weapons law, and in all countries you have to be 18 or older to buy one. some airsoft guns are made to replicate even the real steel counterparts internal mechanism and shooting experience. but all airsoft guns are made to replicate the look of the real steel counterpart. it doesn't sound like you know allot about airsoft.
@modernflyboy You're right. I prefer to spend my time with the "real steel". Pretend guns make zero sense to me. Btw, you can never replicate the real shooting experience with a fake gun. Not possible.
@a2birdcage i got some examples of guns that tries to replicate the shooting and mechanism of a real gun, inokatsu M4: /watch?v=qGvs--HfwK4 WA/G&P M4: /watch?v=qGvs--HfwK4 there are many others made by companies like KJW, VFC, King Arms and WE. there is also on made by TOP: /watch?v=yZXenRsPNlM&feature=related ,it has Ejecting shells. almost all of these run on gas in the magazine, excluding the TOP M4. here is a GBB pistol: /watch?v=CQP8DfE_8ZU&feature=related .
@modernflyboy If it doesn't fire real ammunition then it can't be replicated. You can't replicate the sound, feel or smell of live ammunition. It sounds like you have never even fired a real gun before.
@a2birdcage they do not try to replicate the firing of a round. they are mainly trying to replicate the feel of shooting a rifle, and the internal mechanism. if you say that the internals aren't realistic you are wrong, ATF has banned the import of GBB M4(except King Arms M4) , cause the ATF say they are able to convert them into firing real 223. ammunition. I actually don't own a M4 but i have shoot one numerous times.
@thegamechiken The M16 is not mainly plastic. The handguards, pistol grip and stock are the only things about the rifle that are plastic. The other 90% of the rifle is constructed of aluminum and steel. Like I said get educated before posting stupid comments.
@thegamechiken the tests were done with stick powder. the gun did no jam with stick powder. The Army did not issue cleaning kits so the guns were never cleaned. The ball powder built up with dirt and jammed the gun. The military then chrome lined the barrel and issued cleaning kits. google it
@thegamechiken The M16 jammed in the jungle because they switched the powder from stick to ball which fires dirtier. The barrel was not chrome lined and this dirtier powder built up and caused the gun to jam. It had nothing to do with the gun being made of plastic.
ok so 33 is that really needed i say yes if some one is to break into your home it mayb be more than 1 you need rounds and not everyone in an expert shooter so would op for 33 rounds only as home defense but 17 rounds is fine for carrying
nutnfancy what should i get a G17 or a G22? i have shot both but i feel more comfortable with the G17 because i can manipulate the recoil better than the G22,but i really want a pistol that has the capability of bringing down a big man,any recommendations?
Do 33-round magazines require a license to purchase, just like owning a Glock 18 would, and do the magazines have to be specially-ordered, or can you go to any firearms store to purchase one?
@Kylef7735 im talking about normal people iin concealed carry if your buffed up too 85lbs i dont think 24 ounces too 28 ounces will make all that much of a difference... i know im going to have people sayin OH YES IT WOULD DUMBASS, MORON LMAO!!! do you think everygun is heavy when its fully loaded?
All glocks are super light. I been using them for work all the time. I own several glocks. I love my G20c and g18 the most. The 45 gap are nice but finding ammo so far is a pain.
I own a G17 2nd gen that i am very proud of and it is my everyday carry. I have pumped thousands of rounds through it and as long as you take care of it the glock will be problem free!!!!
hey i just fired a g17 today at a gun range first time i've ever fired a pistol and the magazine capacity was 10 rounds. i was surprised. Also the magazine wasn't steel coated just polymer. how is this possible?
Was the glock 17 named after its 17 round magazine, or some other thing? Wondering because the other numbers in the glock line don't make sense at all (glock 18 with a 33round mag)
@xdkwallen742 a glock 18 does not come with a 33 round mag, but because it is automatic they useually put a extended magazine in it so you don't run out on bullets, you can also buy extended magazine for almost all other glocks, you game is not realiyy man
@keesurt You didn't answer my question, you just felt it was necessary to nitpick my comment, and the end of your comment makes absolutely no sense at all.
Nice gun man. Makes me wish I still had my OD Green G17 as well. The one I have now is the all black one and quite honestly it seems like that is the only color you can find now locally for them,
that is one sexy gun! if i were trying to find this exact model (tan frame/grip tape) what would i have to search in order to find it? is it a custom order polymer frame? thanks for any info
@drummerboy197 You're talking about the "Glock Kaboom." There's probably a lot of others on Google that do a better job of explaining it but I'll try to fit it in with 350 characters or less.
1) It seems to be the .40 calibers that blow up.
2) It's extremely rare.
3) It's usually crappy reloads that cause this.
4) The bullet case is unsuported in the back and this is not good when you basically have a controlled explosion inside a steel tube. The entire case needs support.
I love my G17. Best gun for me without a doubt. My wife also shoots with me, and loves it too. We've shot tons of different ammo - reloads, factory, hollow points - never had a malfunction. Just yesterday, I ran 300 rounds through it (1/3 were reloads) - every one fired and ejected properly. The Glock is just a fantastic gun.
just bought a Glock 17 and I absolutely love it. To be honest I never gave Glock the time of day but as soon as I held the Glock 17 I knew it was the one. Shot about 200 rounds with no malfunctions. I had a Ruger P95 but it doesnt even compare to the Glock 17. GET ONE!!!
The issue with the Glock's lightweight you aren't considering is that it is topheavy. There is not reason why a gun should use polymer on its operational parts, not because of durability, but the weight awkwardness in a pistol reduces accuracy, or in a rifle it will warp under heat and throw off a zero. The 35 round magazine is just retarded in a pistol, I can't even see you fitting that in a holster without laughing, let alone walking around with it all day. You gone nuts with this one, nutn.
@dinoooooooooooo Glock is more reliable, doesn't break easily, and can work with just about any glock parts. The 92fs is more accurate, and might be able to hold higher calibers of ammunition.
@ITSbigwillystyle so if you would buy a blank gun would you choose the glock or the beretta ? i ment beretta f92 sory. it says the beretta is 9 mm and has single/double action and you can take 15 bullets in it. the glock is semi auto single action and can have 12 bullets in it and weighs 1110g. and the beretta 1150. i just want it for fun i know it doesnt shot real bullets just makes noise.
@dinoooooooooooo Well the glock can hold multiple amounts of ammunition, because of the many magazines that fit it. If it was a blank gun, it really doesn't matter which one you get. I'd probably go with beretta because the shells eject twoard the side, unlike the glock which go up at an angle and can land on you sometimes.
did you use the 33 round magazine from a Glock 17? Do all Glock 17 magz fit in the Glock 19??? Please respond< I want to know this b4 I buy the Glock 19!!
dude I so need to get my hands on a sti 1911 perfect 10 10mm with 8 or so 24 round clips.......its for duck hunting, ha ha ha,ahh..... love this vid, man no one has ever line by line connected the dots to make such a perfect format for gun/knife/tent/clothing/back pack/optics/store/both/make it stop/kite/mustache/what do you not revue again?/ revues. rock on
@Alex 1067 clearly you revel in your stupidity. resorting to childish profanity shows your pathetic level of immaturity. i hate to tell you this, but air-soft and real firearms are 2 different things. good luck drowning in your ignorance.
@Alex 1067 clearly you have no experience with a glock. your comment shows an incredible amount of ignorance and a high level of stupidity. educate yourself before making future moronic statements.
@Alexn1067 You get your knowledge from Call of Duty, right? You need to go back to airsoft, this is no place to talk about your teenage BB-guns that you jack-off to at night.
Here in Brasil the great stupid government dont let the citizen buy or use fire guns, just the assassins, organized crime, and of course, corrupt politicians...
Dear Nutnfancy, do you know the maximum capacity magazine made for the glock 22? since its a 40 cal im curious how much less it would hold.. 29 rounds?
I notice in the movie "Dark Knight" in the beginning of the movie when "the jokeR" robs the bank, I think he is using this gun, the glock 17 with the 33 round mag, but modified to be a full automatic.
@nightrider2k6 in factory form, full auto glock 17 is termed the glock 18. true glock 18s are extremely rare in the us, most that you see in videos are modified glock 17s.
i had one very powerful and the recoil was snappier than a 40cal sold it for something smaller, not because i did'nt like the gun, just moved to AZ much warmer than MI and was too big.
hi I want to buy my first hand gun and i want one i can conceal what do you recommend?

I'm confused... does the extended magazine hold 33, 35, or "almost 40" rounds? :)

hey i just fired a g17 today at a gun range first time i've ever fired a pistol and the magazine capacity was 10 rounds. i was surprised. Also the magazine wasn't steel coated just polymer. how is this possible?
holahahaful 1 year ago
Damn man, 33 rounds is a lot for a pistol thats like MP5 magazine capacity.

treshnefix 1 year ago
Was the glock 17 named after its 17 round magazine, or some other thing? Wondering because the other numbers in the glock line don't make sense at all (glock 18 with a 33round mag)
xdkwallen742 1 year ago
@xdkwallen742 a glock 18 does not come with a 33 round mag, but because it is automatic they useually put a extended magazine in it so you don't run out on bullets, you can also buy extended magazine for almost all other glocks, you game is not realiyy man

@keesurt You didn't answer my question, you just felt it was necessary to nitpick my comment, and the end of your comment makes absolutely no sense at all.

@xdkwallen742 i think its 17 beacause the guy who made it, it was his 17th paitented thing

I heard they explode though because it doesn't have a locking bolt or something like that. I'm not sure I could be wrong, its just what I heard.
drummerboy197 1 year ago
@drummerboy197 You're talking about the "Glock Kaboom." There's probably a lot of others on Google that do a better job of explaining it but I'll try to fit it in with 350 characters or less.
1) It seems to be the .40 calibers that blow up.
2) It's extremely rare.
3) It's usually crappy reloads that cause this.
4) The bullet case is unsuported in the back and this is not good when you basically have a controlled explosion inside a steel tube. The entire case needs support.
shurnee 1 year ago
@drummerboy197 KBs are usually ammo related.... and even all-steel handguns can go KB trust me ;)

The Glock is just a fantastic gun.
deathtotruthers 1 year ago
just bought a Glock 17 and I absolutely love it. To be honest I never gave Glock the time of day but as soon as I held the Glock 17 I knew it was the one. Shot about 200 rounds with no malfunctions. I had a Ruger P95 but it doesnt even compare to the Glock 17. GET ONE!!!

92civichonda 1 year ago
The issue with the Glock's lightweight you aren't considering is that it is topheavy. There is not reason why a gun should use polymer on its operational parts, not because of durability, but the weight awkwardness in a pistol reduces accuracy, or in a rifle it will warp under heat and throw off a zero. The 35 round magazine is just retarded in a pistol, I can't even see you fitting that in a holster without laughing, let alone walking around with it all day. You gone nuts with this one, nutn.

are all Glock mags interchangeable or is that just for the Glock 17 and 18? i really love my glock 17 but would like to own a glock 21 some day.

PLEASE ANSWER ME SOMEBODY THAT KNOW.
WHATS BEST?. BERETTA 92FS 9MM OR GLOCK 17 8MM
dinoooooooooooo 1 year ago
@dinoooooooooooo Glock is more reliable, doesn't break easily, and can work with just about any glock parts. The 92fs is more accurate, and might be able to hold higher calibers of ammunition.
ITSbigwillystyle 1 year ago
@ITSbigwillystyle so if you would buy a blank gun would you choose the glock or the beretta ? i ment beretta f92 sory. it says the beretta is 9 mm and has single/double action and you can take 15 bullets in it. the glock is semi auto single action and can have 12 bullets in it and weighs 1110g. and the beretta 1150. i just want it for fun i know it doesnt shot real bullets just makes noise.
dinoooooooooooo 1 year ago
@dinoooooooooooo Well the glock can hold multiple amounts of ammunition, because of the many magazines that fit it. If it was a blank gun, it really doesn't matter which one you get. I'd probably go with beretta because the shells eject twoard the side, unlike the glock which go up at an angle and can land on you sometimes.
ITSbigwillystyle 1 year ago
@ITSbigwillystyle ok thank you very much

I don't see why weight should matter that much in a handgun or pistol. What's an ounce or two more or less? It doesn't matter...
WhytePower441 1 year ago
@WhytePower441 maneuverability
ITSbigwillystyle 1 year ago
@ITSbigwillystyle An Ounce or two isn't going to make a maneuverability difference at all.
WhytePower441 1 year ago
@WhytePower441 technically, it will make it a little more maneuverable, maybe it's not noticeable, but still, slightly more nonetheless! : P

Dear Nutnfancy, do you know the maximum capacity magazine made for the glock 22? since its a 40 cal im curious how much less it would hold.. 29 rounds?
nightrider2k6 1 year ago
I notice in the movie "Dark Knight" in the beginning of the movie when "the jokeR" robs the bank, I think he is using this gun, the glock 17 with the 33 round mag, but modified to be a full automatic.
nightrider2k6 1 year ago
@nightrider2k6 in factory form, full auto glock 17 is termed the glock 18. true glock 18s are extremely rare in the us, most that you see in videos are modified glock 17s.
