@eflesh21 That's how I used to think about Death Metal. Death Metal on itself doesn't interest me. MELODIC Death comes closer to my liking. Even better if it's mixed up with (proper) clean vocals. Scar Symmetry for example. With Christian ofcourse, it sucks today. Either way, I don't mind the vocals that much anymore. Just takes some getting used to, really. You can start by checking out Metalcore. It's what I did.

See, this is what I hate. The music starts at the beginning, and develops artfully through many different styles. Metal isn't about beating people's brains out, it's a genre of MUSIC, and this gets lost through the fans and often to the band as well, but not here. No, Skyfire realizes what their here to do, and that's to make music, and damn good music.

Great stuff, but I am missing Henrik a bit on this one. The difference in vocals sounds almost to be very in-studio variation, not that the new guy is super different. They seem to have brought the vocals a bit more to the front, which I'm not sure how I feel about. (Melo-Death vocals are important, but not supposed to be in the spotlight, imo. The "Melodic" part is in the instrumentals :P ). All-Around very good song though. I'm excited for Esoteric :D
