In game 7 kings go 16-30 from the foul line, lose in OT. This series was fixed, for the kings.
A lot of these calls are bull shit. In the Finals, you should be able to play the game without getting called for tick tacky fouls. This is a good example along with Game 7 of the 2010 Finals (21 to 6 free throws for LA wow.) and Game 6 of the 02 WCF (27 freethrows in the 4th quarter. Tim Dounaghy alert!)

The Lakers shot 40 freethrows in game 6, 17 of them were by shaq. He shot half of the Lakers freethrows by himself. It seems to me the kings were hacking him, so he could go to the line & miss freethrows, but shaq made 13 of his 17 freethrows! That seems odd! Maybe because it was an elimination game for the Lakers shaq concentrated harder at the line. But in game 5, shaq shot 1 freethrow & missed. In my opinion both games 5 & 6 were fixed for the home teams.

It cracks me up because people beat up Pau Gasol and say he was soft in this series. They say KG dominated him in this series, when in fact it was the REFS that dominated him in this series, destroying his rhythm. Re-watch the early games if you forgot (1-4). Not LA fan here, but they are a good team (as is Boston) and got hosed. I don't like seeing teams handed titles, but it happened in 2006 and 2008.

As for this series the Celtics were fouling almost every play defensively and Kobe was gettin called for a baby elbow that barely touched sombody come on now.

It's not the Lakers' fault they are one of the most watched basketball teams ever and that they draw huge ratings. The league and ref favored them because of their popularity and market value. According to the rulebook, the block was a foul. The rulebook states that if his momentum carries him into someone after making the block, by the rules, that's a foul. The definition in the rulebook is that the player who shot the ball must return to normal if the shot is blocked. That was not a clean block according to the rulebook.

@SKOLLVIKINGS28 We don't get pissed at anything. That's why The Lakers have been to 7 finals & won 5 since 2000. Game 5 was fixed for the kings. They got all the calls to pull out a 1 point win. The kings shot 204 freethrows to the Lakers 185. Most of the calls in game 6 were the kings hacking shaq. Shaq got no calls in game 5, but he did foul out. I this game 2 against boston the Lakers shoot 10 freethrows, boston shoots 38. Yeah, now that's a fair game.

The 2008 Boston title has an asterisk, with early games in this series handed to the Cs.
It cracks me up because people beat up Pau Gasol and say he was soft in this series. They say KG dominated him in this series, when in fact it was the REFS that dominated him in this series, destroying his rhythm. Re-watch the early games if you forgot (1-4). Not LA fan here, but they are a good team (as is Boston) and got hosed. I don't like seeing teams handed titles, but it happened in 2006 and 2008.

@iknowpeople100 They would of won game 7 if they had not missed 14 of their 30 freethrows. Not to mention the airball peja shot in the finals seconds of the 4th. In game 4 before horry won it on a 3, divac missed 1 of 2 freethrows. Also in game 4 the kings were leading 48-24 early in the second. How could they let the Lakers rally after that? Freethrows in game 4 were pretty even: Lakers 27 Kings 26.

@garyb12001 The 2010 NBA finals was way different than this cus the Lakers were gettin calls on the offensive side but weren't playing physical enough to get called for fouls on the other end. As for this series the Celtics were fouling almost every play defensively and Kobe was gettin called for a baby elbow that barely touched sombody come on now.

@theajroseshow The Lakers never did anything wrong though. It was the refs and league that screwed the Kings out of the NBA title. It's not the Lakers' fault they are one of the most watched basketball teams ever and that they draw huge ratings. The league and ref favored them because of their popularity and market value. This is more of a revenge for the Kings than a case of karma for the Lakers.

@theajroseshow No problem man, I'm a huge Laker fan because I live in LA. However, when I saw that Kings/Lakers game 6 I was completely confused and had no idea what was going on. I knew we shouldn't have won that year and I hope that one day the Kings do win the championship. As for other people who say stuff like "your mother is a whore", those are the people that make us Laker fans look bad.

the refs made up for this one by rigging game 7 in 2010 for the Lakers.... close game with Boston up the whole way.... till the 4th quarter where the Lakers shot an absurd number of free throws to steal the game and the title from a (only slightly) more deserving team.

ok the blocked shot on powe...that was a terrible call, and Pau Gasol did get fouled by KG, and right b4 halftime, and Kobe did get held by Paul Pierce right b4 halftime....thats only 4 ligit cases in the whole game... now the game where Kobe got hacked against the cleveland Cavaliers in I think 08 that was a good case but this is nothing

According to the rulebook, the block was a foul. The rulebook states that if his momentum carries him into someone after making the block, by the rules, that's a foul. The definition in the rulebook is that the player who shot the ball must return to normal if the shot is blocked. That was not a clean block according to the rulebook.

@tankguru Everyone goes into rebuilding mode at times. Even the lakers will once Kobe leaves to be honest. They have right now nobody to take his place. C's will in about 3 years. Point is we have capitalized in the Playoffs winning 17 out of the 21 title games we appeared in the Lakers?...16 for 31 which is barley about 50%

@redsox4life71 It shouldn't all add up. The problem with the NBA it is now more of a business than anything else. Stern wants TV ratings and money, nothing else. There haven't been many 'clean' playoff series in the league since 2000. I really wish Stern goes to jail in the near future. It's a pity Tim Donaghy was brought down by Stern and his mafia so quickly. Would have loved to see an investigation regarding fraud and manipulation.
