PEASE tell me a link to the song between 1:26 - 2:49. im doing an epic minecraft video where i´ve made huge(267x300) WOW pixelart picture and this song fits there just better then anything in the world! i would be very releaved and thankful if you answer with a download link (:
I always wondered if I was the only geek who was totally in love with this music clip in WoW. I'm glad I was wrong. There were times I'd just fly around in this zone just to hear this song.
2:02 is the moment I saw the TLPD coming up the valley at coords 60.28 which I had been camping for 2 weeks.....it was an angelic moment, orgasmic in natue when I opened the loot bag and got my 20g + Reigns of the Time Lost Proto-Drake! Ahhh, the memories :)))
I remember the winter that WotLK came out. Me and my raiding guild were racing to hit 80 and the whole leveling experience was just enhanced by everyone being everywhere, just exploring and experiencing the new content. So when I first hit Storm Peaks, I heard a clip from this track and I was just blown away. I searched for this video around December 2008 and I think it was the only thing I heard music-wise until I hit 80, and even then. RIP my guild.
Say what you will about Cataclysm, boys and girls, but we all know that when expansion #4 is released, everyone will grouse about Cataclysm was so much better. Same thing happened with WotLK. Just like everything in life, the denizens of Azeroth cannot truly appreciate something until we have moved on from it.
@holymadgod Too true. I was leveling a toon through WLK the other day trying to speed to 80, and when i started doing Cata content i suddenly missed WLK stuff ^.^
I was expecting Cataclysm to be much better than Wrath... I was wrong. The zones and music of Cata are too bland, the quests are meh... Wrath, the zones were amazing, the quests were good, the music... The Music. <3
And everybody was complaining about how WotLK was a fail expansion. WRONG ! It also had excellent sides. These songs are a proof of it, and now I miss this the WotLK times, just as much as TBC and Vanilla. I'm certain that when Arthas died, it hurted most of the players' heart there. Damn nostalgia.
@thebbeenn you say that now?...when 15 full pages worth info about the next expansion have already been leaked?...no m8...WOTLK was not the end of wow, was merely the end of the Arthas story arc, same as TBC was the end of the Illidan story arc, going away from the classic RTS to modern MMO, Blizz opened unending possibilities of developing wacraft as a whole and each substory individually, anything can be made into a great story now and to some ppl that story works while to others it won't
@sylvanitoo The real ending to "Warcraft" was in the killing of Arthas. Since everything is after that is only things that blizzard think of to keep the game running. I'm not saying that whatever comes after WoTLK is bad, I'm just saying that everything after the Lich Kings demise has no story from an older game to refer to. In my opinion, cataclysm seems created to be interesting to people who haven't heard of the stories before WoW(that is warcraft). And so WotLK is the end of "Warcraft.
@GunnarDono cont.: still ongoing, given that it's in Cata that Shan'do Stormrage returns to aid the elves, the Aspects finally consider blessing Teldrassil, like long ago Nordrassil, Staghelm disappears and Thrall, a hero just as important as Arthas in the warcraft universe is lost in the elemental planes on the Twilight Hammer's account...TBC was the end of Illidan and some considered it the end of warcraft, as for me, he was my fav. hero.So no...WOTLK is very far from being the end of Warcraft
@sylvanitoo The problem about Stormrage reappearing is that he didn't disappear until WoW started. What I'm saying is that everything that doesn't have a story in the old warcraft series to relate to is what I refer to as the end of Warcraft. Before TBC was out, I was hoping that they would make Warcraft 4 to tie up lose ends. But they used WoW for that. Now that they have no more lose ends from the warcraft series they need to find something new, and THAT is what cataclysm is.
@GunnarDono the Scourge WAS something new(without which Arthas would be nothing but a young rich and spoiled prince...yes, imo, the Scourge MADE Arthas the hero he became), Arthas WAS something new, as all heroes were, elves as a separate race WERE something new...each warcraft release, no matter how much or less important it is brought something new to the warcraft universe, and Cata is no different and should be treated as such..., ofc each of us have their fav part to hold on to
@sylvanitoo But blizzard had a trusted fan base from the old warcraft series and as they ended these thought it epic to see the lose ends tied together in one big game, namely WoW. But now, as cata is released, there no longer are any lose ends from the old series and THAT is why I, personally, dislike the cata story; Everything cata is about, up to now at least, is sprung from things that happened in the WoW universe, not the Warcraft universe. And so this old dog is being conservative.
@GunnarDono i suppose it depends from person to person, I see the Warcraft series separate from the WoW game/series(genre, gameplay/style etc.) but I cannot separate the wow Universe from the Warcraft Universe, the Warcraft Universe is much bigger than these games altogether, there will always be events with no real closure, unexplained and unknown things, just as in real world, and Blizz can take this fact to their advantage, if they're wise enough, and infinitely expand the warcraft universe
@sylvanitoo What will they come up with when a bunch of nobodies has defeated the aspect of death? All the titans are dead, the old god yogg-saron is a second rate wotlk raid boss. The only thing they can do is to think of something they haven't mentioned that is stronger than the titans. If they do that it will become ridiculous. If they do think of something that is stronger than the titans(who created the world) isn't strange how 10 random people can come and suddenly defeat that something?
@GunnarDono Yogg-Saron isn't the only defeated old god, C'thun in Ahn'Qiraj is an old god too, and the boss in Zul'Gurub was an old god too...Sargeras is a fallen Titan still very much alive, the shard of soul that he had possessed Aegwyn, and through her Medivh, was indeed merely a fragment, the Titans are not dead, at least according to lore...so there's still pretty much of warcraft that is unfinished...all that I've written is a tiny part of that...but hey...you can't change people's mind
@sylvanitoo True, but then you can consider how pathetic it is that 10 random people can beat a titan. What I'm saying is that for blizzard to continue with the WoW world they would have to enable no-names, not special heros, to beat the "oh so strong" titans/old gods/etc. Don't you find it somewhat insulting to the fantasy world "Warcraft" to have somebody with a nick like "Dickface" beat somebody like sargeras? My point is that this has been fine until now. But soon it will just be ruined.
@GunnarDono they've tried 40 player raids and honestly it didn't work, C'thun wasn't a main Lore boss, at least not in the warcraft series, yet there he was in a 13 or so boss raid instance needing 40 people to be defeated...it didn't work pretty well, finding 25 players isn't easy, 40 became close to impossible not to mention splitting drops...thing is, they could easily make a 200 people boss(as Baium in L2, or Valakas) but who will get anything from these encounters, and consider the grind
@sylvanitoo you and I are but 2 players, and very much with different view apparently, yet we are just 2, I'd like legendary 150-200 player boss battles as well, with 7days respawn, like I've seen in old L2, but that would really lower wow's population and popularity, the grind would be impossible for a great majority of the players, I know somewhere they'll make a bad decision like NcSoft did with L2 already a few expansions back, and Aion was already on the wrong track from the very beginning
@sylvanitoo I'm not saying they should have tried 200-people raids. I'm saying that they should stop making expansions so that it doesn't become ridiculous that a character can easily handle legendary characters like Deathwing. It seems that you are more focused on the gameplay in itself and isn't as firmly attached to the story as I am. You are at least not as conservative about it.
@GunnarDono i'm really sorry if I seemed to attack you, I do understand however what you mean and indeed lorewise it would be ridiculous, perhaps that is why they release those raid-trailers showing armies sieging ICC for example, dunno, after all it's their game and they do it as they please, yet even I have done some things in a different way, perhaps to my liking but still
@Magnexium My point being that I dislike the fact that 10 people with names such as "Ballscock" and "yomama" can come and defeat the aspect of death. It ruins the lore. And most people haven't got a problem with that and I suppose that is good for them.
@GunnarDono yeah I agree about that actually, they need to make it more difficult, even if it is a game, its annoying when you saw a guy with kingslayer in warth who had the name boobiescock or something
3:08 is. so. freakishly. amazing. Blizzard, you are so incredible. The music in WoW really makes you feel like you are your character. It lets you truly feel the atmosphere around you. Something not many games can do. And that is what I love about world of warcraft - you just FEEL it. Sorry, that was extremely cheesy. But I mean it. :)
reminds me of the times back then when i farmed herbs while looking for the tlpd^^ i was so shocked when the addon popped up and i saw him^^ finally got it
wow used to be a great game.. what has happened.. i get a nostalgic hit from vanilla onto burning crusade followed by wotlk.. cata just dont do it.. i remember i first hit 80 in storm peaks.. this music brings back alot of memories.. i didnt get cata.. im on my lvl 80's every now and then cruising through northrend might sound retarded but i love that place i do dailies look to gank some players, cant let go of something, ill always remember wotlk the music the story everything.
1:54 - 2:40.....camping coordinates 60.48 for T.L.P.D. camped for 6 days, finally flew by......epic moment, attacked by an undergeared rogue who kept running back trying to gank me. I got the drake then camped him till he spirit rezzed :D
This is the only good memory i have of wrath of the lich king...it is honestly all tha remains that i liked about wotlk, that was the Storm peaks. Great lvling, fun lvling and beautifull music...
And ofc, like almost everyone else i liked sholazar basin! But the raids and the new arenas, and so on, they were all bad, i think :(!!
This soundtrack, especially 1:50 and forward, is just perfect. The amazing questlines, the harsh winter and this music playing in the background in this zone is possibly the best levelling experience I've had in this game, and I've played since vanilla. Just listening to this gives me goosebumps all over again.
god this brings me back. blizz out did themselves in wrath i tell ya what. i would just fly around this zone looking at the scenery, listening to the music. the titans and the lighting and storms in the distance is just incredible.
from 1:50 to 2:50 is just touching i remember the old days when i used to lvl up my undead rogue in stormpeaks and even today i do dailies on my lvl 80 paladin and listening to this music at the same time just brings back memories, alot of people didnt like wrath of the lich king, but to me it was the best expansion.. the lich king/ scourge lore was just too awsome i completed every single quest to do with it in northrend, wotlk was just fucking awsome and we got to see dalaran RIP wow 7/12/010
sorry i have to disagree that wotlk lore was awful.. because the games main story was to do with the scourge and arthas was its biggest icon.. although i loved BC aswell.. they aced it that time too with the whole story of the legion.. the outlands was truly amazing because we saw some change in wow apart from always staying in azeroth. and tbc had a happier feeling to it everytime i would log in everything would seem so bright coloured. they were both good, but i loved vanilla the most.
WoW's music is the only part of the game that's retained that magical feeling it had all those years ago when we watched the Vanilla WoW opening cutscene.
when i take a break from this game it's not raiding that draws me back, it's being in places like nagrand, zul drak, storm peaks and listening to music like this
its sad and majestic...sounds like there is still hope for the storm peaks even the whole kingdom is in wain...even when arthas in his heroic attempts to save his people got consumed not by his own fault by evil....this song is the pure warcraft lore and its the way the new warcraft movie should be....epic and epic and epic...the producers of the movie should listen to this song over and over and than start to work on the storyline
I found a way to download the music!! Go to flvto (dot) com (remove the "(dot)" and type a " . " in it's place. ). Copy this link paste it in the bar, choose Download High Quality MP3, and tick I Accept the Terms of Service. Than wait a few mins till it finishes, than it shall start downloading automaticaly. If not, than click on the direct link. Thumbs up if this worked for you so everybody can see!
Strom peaks and ulduar are my favorite places in this game ^^. Its a wonderfull place in the world with a fiascinating history about the course of the flesh. But the most interesting thing is Algalon and the other bosses they are cursed of yogg-saron
Strom peaks and ulduar are my favorite places in this game ^^. Its a wonderfull place in the world with a fiascinating history about the course of the flesh.
On my level 79, the highest level i've gotten so far, I was doing the Sons of Hodir quest line and i stopped and realized that this was the end of the line for me, as i hit 80. 1:55 to 2:50 was playing and there i had my most emotional wow moment ever, haha.
@Cantelpoe Level 79 is not the end of the line, a great new adventure starts when you hit 80-*starts laughing* Sorry, couldn't do that with a straight face.Cataclysm should be pretty good though.
@Shadownite15 Yeah, i think I spent just as much time leveling my character at level 80 to get gear as I did spend leveling from 1-79...and to think, the gear will all become obsolete when cataclysm comes out :(
@Xfacta12482 It does!!! Wrath is almost over, our 2 year journey to northrend is soon over too.... a new adventure begins... while we have been growing stronger, older and wiser in the frozen north a firey evil has been stirring...... we must return to azeroth, forge new alliances and get ready to start again... because Deathwing - has - RETURNED!!!
Oh wait, you're serious. Let me laugh even harder.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The Alliance and the Horde are at each others' throats. Whatever hope there was of teaming together went with the battle at the Wrathgate. Before it was just isolated stuff, now they're in full-out war with one another...only a few sensible people are actually trying to stop Deathwing.
I never levelled in Storm Peaks then the other day I flew into it by accident and I just flew around for half an hour listening to the music over and over, it's gorgeous!
The first thing that came to my mind when 1:54 began was when Arthas was forced to kill his beloved steed Invincible after a bad accident in a bad winter storm. It made me shed a tear. =(
I used to play this video all the time when Lich King first came out. Didn't matter which zone I was in, save for Storm Peaks. This song reeked of epic and it brings back memories from when Northrend was fresh to everyone.
I am grateful that you have kept it until now and hopefully as long as Youtube exists or I die, whichever comes first.
This and the Howling Fjord music is my fav. From 3:10 to 3:50 I love that oohhh ooohhhh music. It reminds me of an old western movie. Like when you see a cowboy riding across the open wilderness that's the kind of music you hear.
@NHCPmn An over-exaggeration to be sure, but have you ever seen people wearing those real thick leather gloves with the cotton lining? HUGE HANDS, I tell you! HUGE
I cannot find one single spot of this music i can single out this entire piece is beautiful much props to the Music Creators and Symphony at blizzard, your work deserves more than it gets.
Best zone and soundtrack in WoW.

I quited WoW and i never regretted, except when hear this song. It can even compare with the LotR soundtrack!
ThePowerofYeti 9 months ago
This soundtrack, especially 1:50 and forward, is just perfect. The amazing questlines, the harsh winter and this music playing in the background in this zone is possibly the best levelling experience I've had in this game, and I've played since vanilla. Just listening to this gives me goosebumps all over again.

from 1:50 to 2:50 is just touching i remember the old days when i used to lvl up my undead rogue in stormpeaks and even today i do dailies on my lvl 80 paladin and listening to this music at the same time just brings back memories, alot of people didnt like wrath of the lich king, but to me it was the best expansion.. the lich king/ scourge lore was just too awsome i completed every single quest to do with it in northrend, wotlk was just fucking awsome and we got to see dalaran RIP wow 7/12/010
324fender 10 months ago
@324fender The lore was awful, lol. They did the exact same thing in SC2. Na, fail as. BC takes the prize.
aidend1993 10 months ago
sorry i have to disagree that wotlk lore was awful.. because the games main story was to do with the scourge and arthas was its biggest icon.. although i loved BC aswell.. they aced it that time too with the whole story of the legion.. the outlands was truly amazing because we saw some change in wow apart from always staying in azeroth. and tbc had a happier feeling to it everytime i would log in everything would seem so bright coloured. they were both good, but i loved vanilla the most.
324fender 10 months ago
WoW's music is the only part of the game that's retained that magical feeling it had all those years ago when we watched the Vanilla WoW opening cutscene.

this music is the pinnacle of the game though....how can you beat this?

lucifersanches 1 year ago
@lucifersanches
There's no need to put this video to download, if you have installed the game with wotlk expansion.
You can download an mpq editor, wich opens the wow's mpq files, wich contains all the musics (and other stufffs). Just google it, you'll find it.

its sad and majestic...sounds like there is still hope for the storm peaks even the whole kingdom is in wain...even when arthas in his heroic attempts to save his people got consumed not by his own fault by evil....this song is the pure warcraft lore and its the way the new warcraft movie should be....epic and epic and epic...the producers of the movie should listen to this song over and over and than start to work on the storyline

On my level 79, the highest level i've gotten so far, I was doing the Sons of Hodir quest line and i stopped and realized that this was the end of the line for me, as i hit 80. 1:55 to 2:50 was playing and there i had my most emotional wow moment ever, haha.
Cantelpoe 1 year ago
@Cantelpoe Level 79 is not the end of the line, a great new adventure starts when you hit 80-*starts laughing* Sorry, couldn't do that with a straight face.Cataclysm should be pretty good though.
Shadownite15 1 year ago
@Shadownite15 Yeah, i think I spent just as much time leveling my character at level 80 to get gear as I did spend leveling from 1-79...and to think, the gear will all become obsolete when cataclysm comes out :(

Xfacta12482 1 year ago
@Xfacta12482 It does!!! Wrath is almost over, our 2 year journey to northrend is soon over too.... a new adventure begins... while we have been growing stronger, older and wiser in the frozen north a firey evil has been stirring...... we must return to azeroth, forge new alliances and get ready to start again... because Deathwing - has - RETURNED!!!
gaiusmarius161 1 year ago
@gaiusmarius161
>forge new alliances
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh wait, you're serious. Let me laugh even harder.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The Alliance and the Horde are at each others' throats. Whatever hope there was of teaming together went with the battle at the Wrathgate. Before it was just isolated stuff, now they're in full-out war with one another...only a few sensible people are actually trying to stop Deathwing.
