Actually for exceleration a good electric motor will always win as all the power is there immediately, full torque right away where as an engine has to spin up to its max rpm to recieve full torque. In real cars its even more so

I admit that electrics are better if alot of money is spent on it. And instead of stalling, and oily mess, you deal with expensive lipos which are very hard to take care of.

Nitro takes longer because an engine has a LOT more friction than a motor and has to build RPM, nothing to do with the way the pistons are connected to the crankshaft. The fact that it has pistons and crankshaft as well as all other moving parts is why it revs up much more slowly than an motor. A motor has only one moving part, almost no friction, and gets to max power almost instantly.

I'm sorry but that is just wrong. Electric has loads more low end torque than nitro. By the time the nitro car gets up to speed, the electric is long gone. A 3 cell LiPo will bring it up to 70 mph in a couple of seconds.
