  • can sum1 do sum 1/4 mile street vids with one of these and the gxp bonni

  • i feel sorry for u dude he just like fuckin left you with a video of him leaving you. such a horrible friend. lol nice rummble to it

  • Wish my mama car had that shit lol

  • gtp will win in 1/4 mile

  • @imserious2187 Never, stock for stock!!!

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 the 97-03 gtps i think will get it dne, these gxps seem like they should b faster than what they r

  • @imserious2187 Stock '97-'03 GTP does about 14.5-14.7 and GXP does about 13.8-14.0

  • @imserious2187 hmm let's see. 240hp vs 304 hp, ya the gxp has the gtp beat by far

  • Unfortunately this car is Front Wheel Drive....mind you its a damn good car...i just think Pontiac should have stayed RWD instead of moving all their cars to FWD Platforms.

  • @form109 They didn't "move all their cars to FWD", the G8 and Solstice were RWD

  • @maximusextreme well not all but most...and the G8 is simply a Rebadged Holden,as well as the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO.

  • @form109 Thats why they sold less cars, and was executed by GM.

  • that car deserves to be RWD

  • Are those the Boss 328's? 18Inch?

  • i know i dont get why they made them FWD its like the impala Ss with the v8 and that's FWD as well what is up with GM today??

  • Leave it to Pontiac to Take a LS4 V-8 and put it a FWD. Thats Hot Rodding!

  • @4431prw thats why there a pontiac g8 gt..or gxp...now thats a fun car, of the ls2 gto

  • @4431prw they didnt put a LS4 V8 in a FWD car, they MADE a LS4 V8 for a FWD car. the GXP and impala SS were the cars this motor was made for. just sayin

  • hops in oregon! really?

  • seems like 300hp should move a lil faster, i mean a prix isnt really that big of a car, caddys move quicker

  • @imserious2187 He ran a 13.8 bone stock, 2.93 stock gears.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 NOICE.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 Got a vid to back that statement up?

  • @nickdru1 I don't, but I think he still has the time slip. I have no reason to lie, i'm not some kid giving you ricer math.

  • Tripod plz :)

  • nuthn like a ls4 powered fwd. only Pontiac!!!

  • are they FWD???

  • @Mariana961 yes.

  • @Mariana961 Unfortunately...

  • they should be rwd... with the v8 and all... there wicked with the v8 eh...

  • are they fwd?

  • wannna race

  • The 3 ppl that disliked this vid drive a Toyota Prius lmfao

  • You realize your buddy is actually losing speed with those massive heavy 18's on their right? Theirs a reason for stock rim sizes.

  • @garrett6699 Stock size "is" 18 inches...

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 Ohh wow. Thats suprised me. My bad just thought they looked big nd heavy.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 yeah the larger they are the more torque it requires to turn them. highway mpg is better though. smalle= more torque

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1

16" on most grand prixs actually

  • @tolerance775 18" alcoa forged aluminum wheels come factory on all GXP's

  • @garrett6699 Its the quality of the rim that determines the weight more than its size moron

  • @garrett6699 i guess u dont know what the fuck u were talking about, they come with 18's from the factory dumb ass bitch

  • @garrett6699 Tard

  • wow the v8 sounds great with the powerflo, my powerflo doesnt sound that good on my 04 gtp

  • I have a 2008 in the same color,base model 3800 V6.

  • That thing sounds good and I love the rims, ive been kind of skeptical about putting rims on mine because I wasnt sure if it would hurt the car seeing as how they have bigger tires in the front, does yours do fine? I got a couple vids of mine with a more aggressive and sometimes more annoying exhaust lol. check em out. peace.

  • The1FastGP. yeah i got a base model to.if u want it to sound like a v8 buy a flowmaster exhaust it gives it a nice low rumble to go along with the 3800. but if u want the gxp. just supercharge.it costs a arm and a leg but its worth it. beat this guy with an 03 mustang that has been bragging about his car since 10th grade. k & n air filter good way to go. right now i went from 200 hp factory.to 299 hp and 280 torque...GP FOR EVER MISS U PONTIAC

  • i want one

  • sexy ass car glad i hav one, the base model but with my addiction to speed that wont stop me from turning her into a beast :) already put in a k&n intake hell of a improvement. PONTIAC

  • Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as if they're here to stay with Pontiac gone.

  • any issues with the trans or anything? is it the ls4 or the northstar

  • how much hp would a base 2007 get with the slp exhaust..20?

  • Imagine if that was a stop and go (stop and go: When an individual pulls over for the law, waits for the officer to step out of the patrol car, and takes off once the officer is far from his/her vehicle) on an officer laugh out loud.

  • Ur buddy takes care of tht looks great..I just bought 1!! sold my V6 stang for it... Im excited to finally have a car wit some power ..Any recommendations for performance prts or jus general info i should no would b cool

  • Nice grand prix, I love those wheels you have on it. It's a sharp car

  • oh wow, that thing took off man

  • damn nice!

  • There are two different styles of PowerFlows... which are these? That thing sounds exactly like what I'm looking for.

  • @chicagotransam He bought the ones for my car, '99 GP GTP.

  • Hey I LOVE those wheels on that car, what wheel is it? I would appreciate the exact specs for them as I would like to know how to get them, thanks alot

  • not too much wheel spin for FWD. I have a g6 gxp, nice car though

  • i never thought but these is true that the pontiac grand prix has a ls1 engine block and ls6 heads and ls2 cam and ls1 intake that makes me wonder how the hell did they get it to sound that good

  • the best pontiac ever made period

  • I love pontiacs ....i must admit i dont really like grand prix my favorite is the bonneville ...I want a gxp bonneville ...i currently own a 2001 ssei its nice but that gxp bonneville is a beauty ..I pause and watch every time i see one pass by ..U would think it was a bentley the way i stare ..

  • Nice, kinda sounds like my bonneville GXP

  • is that a 5.4 liter or 5.8??

  • 5.3 LS4

  • ..&& BEAUTiFUL GRAND PRiX!!

  • I wish this car had RWD it would make it a fucktun better!

  • @tytig94 and why is that? you'd lose traction and how many FWD cars you see have this much power that can beat other RWD sports cars? why would this be better as a RWD?

  • @bigrudeth You get more of a whiplash feeling and there is less under steer. You can also do better doughnuts and stuff like that.

  • i need those rims 4 ma gtp

  • GXPs are V8s..GTP AND GTs are 3.8 based

  • i love when ppl get on the v6, v8 debate...personally i think people underestimate the v6 engine, the 2010 camaro v6 with 303 hp N/A, 350z, 370z nissan maxima even the hyundai genisis 3.8l v6......all these cars have proved time and time again that a v6 engine can make as much power N/A as a v8

  • A V6 can't handle as much horsepower as a V8!

  • i agree but some can if they are forced induction...the skyline is a 6 and is notorious for huge numbers also i am pretty sure the supra is also...and dnt get me wrong im a huge pontiac fan and love ur gxp...i was jus sayin that the 6 cylinder engine should be researched more bcuz im sure it has a lot of unlocked potential

  • yet if you compare a forced induction 6er with a forced 8er then no.

  • @Arms200793 yeah i agree but still 1000 hp in a twin turbo 6...thats even a lot for a nascar spec NA 350 v8...granted the hennessey viper has 1700 hp and thats a twin turbo v8 but still the v6 is still a good engine maybe not as good as a v8 but its still a good engine

  • thats not true at all

  • What's not true?

  • thats not nessiarily true that a v8 can handle more horsepower then a v6

  • Are you on crack?! Go read some books or something dude, stop getting your info on YouTube!

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 The gtp L67 with a few bolt on mods easily makes more horsepower than the gxp ls4

  • @sharks9022 This GXP ran 13.8 stock, it would take more than few bolt-ons to run a GTP that fast.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 I said it makes more horsepower, not runs faster.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 ........yep! I concur....

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 yeah I know some people are stupid lol

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 proboly an intake, headers 3.4 pulley and a tune would be faster than a 13.8.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 Not really, you could get a 13.8 easily with 3.4 pulley, intake, downpipe and a good tune. it really is all in the tune.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 agreed I raced a supercharged 3.8 with a cam, intake, springs, exhaust, TB, T stat, Poly Motor Mounts, downsized pulley, tuned, etc And I Stilled pulled on him,...all Ii had was intake and untuned.

  • @demariojason

then he needs the driver mod

  • @MrWbodyperformance maybe but don't underestimate the LS4!

  • @sharks9022 comparing stock to mods isn't really fair is it. If you put the money in anything it could become faster than a stock vehicle. Yes I love the old GTP also but just saying.

  • @pbking442 some what true. it all depends on the set up. i beleive its easier to get more power out of a V8. but thats just me

    lol

  • I would have some videos but i have not bought my camera yet and i just got this account videos are soon to come

  • well that understand able but my car has lots of mods and though i have never ran down a 1/4 mile track my best 1/8 mile time was 8.79 and doing the math that trashes a 13.8 and i have also trashed a new G8 GT and many LS1 camaros and GTOs

  • Not stock boy, he ran his GXP 13.8 when it was stock and your GTP does high 14's stock! In this video he has SLP cat-back exhaust and CAI. Now he added a downpipe with a Magnaflow performance cat, downpipe, and tune. He has around 300 at the wheels...

  • His car had 303hp & 323tq stock, 5.3 LS4. How come you don't have a video up of your GTP, and your profile is empty?! I bet your GTP could'nt even beat my GTP.

  • @PONTIACMUSCLE1 I just checked this fool and no, not one video. I wonder why? By the way, nice car!

  • Please save your breath....you are an idiot! The only way you would TRASH that V8 is if you had an intercooler with heads, CAM etc. Please I think you are a little to high on your 6 cylinder, DON'T talk to trash to an LS engine, because you'll find there nothing to sleep on.

  • PONTIAC

    hell yeah!!

  • I bought an '08 GP GXP for $16,500....they are definitely affordable and I love this car

  • keep in mind though bud I live in Canada. The 2006's are going for $19,500 and the 08's are going for $20,000+

  • R.I.P Pontiac

  • i luv dat car

  • Im no mechanic here but a friend of mine told me i could do something to the computer timings in my 06 gxp that would give me alot more horsepower is this true?

  • Okay, okay okay. I may have been a little trigger happy with my comment. I'm dumb. The car is a nice looking Pontiac. I just do not know why they did the FWD. But, I can't really look down on a car I haven't driven - so I'm actually going to test drive one myself. a 2006 like this one - red. I need to not be retarded with my comments as I have a habit of doing. I apologize - especially if I end up "enjoying" my test drive.

  • I did the test drive. I was iffy on the controls, but that thing sure got up and moving QUICK. Even with traction control off, it burned the rubber haha. I liked how it sounded too. The ONLY thing that kept me from buying it was it just felt a little to big. Idk how to describe it. If it was a little shorter, maybe a little less roomy, I would have bought it. Instead I bought a Jeep - totally different, I know haha. But I have told people to look at GXPs.. it was a fun test drive :)

  • Very true. This car with RWD would have been sick.

  • A question for GXP owners.

    I own a 2008 Grand Prix base V6.

The car has a lot of torque and is quite fast and I love it. I have always thought the GXP was a hot car but have never driven one. In a year I have the option of refinancing on my car for a better interest rate or a different car.

If I go for a GXP is the extra performance worth the higher cost I will pay? In other words when I take the GXP for the first test drive and punch the throttle will I be overcome with a religious experience.

  • .....Yep.......you'll use every part of your brain to figure out how to get a hold of one.....liquid rush experience thats all...good luck.

  • You'll be overcome with the torque steer and trying not to peel out.

  • The GXP has about 100 hp more than your car does, that's a pretty massive difference.

  • True the GXP does have 100 hp more than mine but for about $1500 I could get some performance upgrades for my base Grand Prix that would equal the horse power and torque or even possible exceed that of the GXP. Just wondering if its more feasible to to that then going through all the hassle of trying to finance out of my current GP then getting refinancing into a GXP.

  • How are you going to add that kind of power to your N/A V-6 for only $1,500?? Nitrous? That would be about the only way...

  • My car 200hp (keep in mind that it could be higher, GM has been known to under rate their engines to keep the cost of insurance down for the owner). The GXP has 303hp

    So I could,

    Install a K&N C.A.I for $367 16hp

    Install an Eaton M90 supercharger $699 60hp

Install an upgraded exhaust $434 10hp.

This brings me to 286hp which is pretty good. If I spend another $500-$1000 I could probably get to 300hp or more.

  • where are u getting your hp gain from u are way off buddy

  • Please explain how. The parts and hp figures I mentioned in a previous post are from a site called pfyc. You are welcome to check it out for verification. I am open to corrections to any errors I made

  • installing a supercharger on that engine is a lot more than just buying the blower, and that tranny wouldn't last with that much power anyway

  • I understand and agree with you. But the supercharger I mentioned is the exact same one that came with the 04 and up Grand Prix GTP which has the exact same tranny I do. The only difference is I have the N/A 3800 series III and the GTP has the S/C 3800 series III. The tranny's are identical.

But I even if I had to spend the extra money to have the tranny upgraded and the blower installed and tuned that still cheaper than actually buying a GP GXP.

  • why don't you save yourself all that hassle and trade up to a 06 GT which is supercharged with 260hp

  • I've considered that but the problem is I already have an 08 Grand Prix and the banks wont finance anything lower than 07. Actually I am quite happy with the car as it is. If I do trade out of it though it will be for a new Camaro,

  • Another thing I could do is shop around for a GXP that has been written off in an accident and being sold for scrap buy the engine if it checks out okay and do an engine swap.

  • transmissions are NOT the same... you do not have a HD transmission... you have to do a complete top swap from a L32 to run a M90 blower on a L26... its going to cost more than $1500.. and even then, will be slower than a stock GXP... you will have to spend more to get your L32 top swapped M90 L26 to run with the LS4... it can be done, just not with $1500... also those "advertised" horsepower ratings on aftermarket parts are off, you won't see those gains....

  • Assuming you are right and I had to do all that, cost wise I am still ahead.

I paid $13,750 Cnd for my GP. Up here in Canada GXP's are going from $19,000 to over $20,000 for a 2008. Seeing that I would have to finance I would have to go for the 2008 because the banks would not finance anything older.

Even if I didn't get the exact same power & torque gains it still doesn't matter because I look at it as how much more "fun" did I get per dollar spent.

  • no doubt, I used to own a 2004 Grand Prix GTP(now have a '08 Cobalt SS)... but the next question is this: who is going to do this work? because if you didn't know the top end was the same, I highly doubt you'll be doing the work yourself... so that is another $1500-2000 right there because there is going to be several hours in getting everything right... and then you have to have a good tuner to get everything tuned in order, its pretty complicated going from n/a to s/c

  • Cool Cobalt SS is a sweet car....Anyway you are right there are many things to consider when doing this. However it would be pretty neat if it all worked out. The nice thing about buying a base level car is it's like having an artist's clean canvass to build upon.

To tell you the truth I am not sure what I am going to do. I am strongly considering trading out of it into a 2010 Camaro in a year when I refinance on it.

  • hey do you know where to get performance parts for the same year but with a 3.8l v6? cuzz i cant find anything for em

  • google....ZZP Performance...PFYC...Intense Racing...SLPonline......there's millions of aftermarket/performance parts for the GPs.

  • 4 banger front wheel drive = rice (like the one you have, a bitches car)!

  • Wheelspin! torquesteer! go FWD!

  • its 2006

  • i have a GP GXP 5.3 L v8 i was wondering what can i add to make it 400 + hp or faster and how much would it cost me. I t had 90k on it everything is stock, any idleals what i can add to increase the HP on the GXP?

  • Long tube headers, downpipe, high flow cats, exhaust (preferably Magnaflow or SLP), K&N cold air intake... you can also check out the LS4 (name of your engine) forums. Look on my friends list and ask Pontisti, this is his car.

  • Is that even a real question, open a fucking GM performance parts catalog, you must not know a whole lot about cars!

  • Car tuning makes a turbo kit... last for that 5.3 LS4. Last time I checked it was around 5-6k and genereated over 450 frhp... (HP number may be off a bit, but it's definitely over 400 at the wheels)

  • i got a silver 06 grand prix , less than 50,000 miles. She runs like a demon, sweet acceleration. gonna try to get a g8 style hood scoop and a sexy sounding muffler...wish me luck

    PONTIAC FOR LIFE.

  • Bringing Sexy Back!

  • Bottom line is ,G.M is great at building strong reliable engines,I have gotten well over 200 thou. out of all my g.m's,and I drive them very hard, with proper care of course. Just got my 07' gxp 5.3 yesterday, and WOW!

  • 5.3 v8 Grand Prix..............better watchout for that itchy mod bug.lol.

  • Gosh you one of the lucky ones, had an 03 Grand Prix GTP and i was so glad when the pos finally caught on fire. To be honest GM does not build reliable cars, if that was true they would not need to bailed out.

  • sounds really nice

  • Nice! I love the GP GXP!!

  • i have a prix just got this year and its speedy bugger! hummm or is it just me LOL

  • Factory GXP's have 2 different wheel sizes. 18x8 in front running 255-45-18

rears 18x7 in rear running 225-50-18

  • do you know the profile on the tire by any chance?

  • for you grand prix owners out there... I have an 04 GT. I am buying 18X8 rims with a 40 mm offset... im not sure what the factory rims are for offset and width but will they stick out at all if the offset is still 40 mm? please respond??

  • these are 255x40 on an aftermarket 18x8 rim and its snugged perfectly nice in the wheel wells.....they do not stick out.

  • i thought those were the stock wheels?

  • are those rims the boss style 328 18X8?

  • I'm not shure what 328 are, but I believe that the one I have are the only ones that fit the 5-15 bolt pattern that boss made.

  • Mine is Faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ............no its not.

  • Thanks great rims great sound great color great car hope to have one some day.

  • What are the name of the rims and are they 18's

  • yes they are 18x8.....rims are Boss motorsports

  • beutifull i am still torn between gtp or a charger

  • GTP=supercharged 3.8v6 240hp or 260hp................This is a GXP=Ls4 5.3 naturally asperated v8.303hp

  • a gtp with about $500 worth of mods will have about 300hp, and over 300ft/lbs of torque and still be 106 lbs lighter!

  • And make to 60,000 miles if your lucky. 3.8 don't like boost that much and the trans definetly don't.

  • mine has 137000 and still runnin strong, they love the extra boost if you do it right, and you also build your tranny before your motor!

  • Not true at all. The 3.8 loves boost, especialy the the factory boosted ones. Up until about 2 years ago, we had a 99' regal gs with a 3.4" pulley and supporting mods with about 177,000 if memory serves.

  • lol! ur retarded . 60 000 miles? ALOT of gtp's out there have well over 100 000 miles and run perfect

  • I sold my '97 GTP coupe to my cousin with 212,000 miles on it, still runs just as strong!!! My GTP has about 260hp. and 300 tq., tranny does'nt seem to mind.

  • mine finally died at 225k miles... That's pretty good, for a modded car that had 1000s of races on it.

  • These cars die?

I have an 02 grand prix GTP that will NEVER die.

lol in all seriousness, that is GREAT lifetime.

  • They run well all the way up to the point when they die, and it's cheap to fix them anyway, mines gonna be back up and running stronger than ever soon.

  • My 99 grand prix GT almost died. I fixed it before it completely quit on me.

    Now it runs very well.

  • HAVE YOU EVEN REALLY DONE YOUR HOMEWORK ON 3.8'S? They do not require much to handle BIG BOOST.

  • Mine has about 148,900 on it and it will not quit.

I'm going to mod it later.

  • my regal GS was at 190k with mods.

  • my friend has that car and when u speed up the musik get louder

  • Thats on most vehicles nowadays .. esp. GM vehicles

  • Speed Compinsated Volume(SCV)

  • Now that sounds good!

  • yes those are 18x8 rims with 255x40 zr proxes

  • This is the owner of the GXP. 'Pontisti'
