Anyone who thinks that Frusciante isn't the main reason they are as big as they are needs to have their head reexamined. Yes, Chad, Flea, and Anthony are very, very good musicians. Yes, they made pretty good music before John, but they never were huge. John took this band to the next level and him leaving will also bring the band down.

Look at One Hot Minute. Decent record but worst since BSSM. I expect the same with the new one.

You know, RHCP fans don't give the whole band a lot of credit. People think it's all Frusciante, but some forget that there were songs before he came along, and they're all great albums. Chad Smith is one of the top 3 drummers I've seen. Flea is such a good bassist that plays some really insane licks. And Kiedis is a goddamn poet. Greatest foursome to ever live.

flea makes the band they are great johnny rips but flea is the backbone his skills on the bass are second to none read scar tissue and you will see how tight flea and anthony are they can jam with any guitarist and drummer. take flea or anthony from the band and the sound would be way different the guitar and drums don't write their songs its the lyrics and bass
