  • grunge sucked,a bunch of heroine addicts

  • It should read: Seattle, In the aftermath of GRUNGE,1995!

  • i thought it sucked til i saw you rip a cone

  • 1995=post grunge

  • @prammaven Got that right brother.

  • And this is when youth life/culture began to suck...

  • This is worse than Hitler clubbing a baby seal to death.

  • man grunge wasnt a style it was a way of life. sadly the days of grunge we will never see again but ill never let my roots die . and neither should my grunge brothers out there

  • @patman0250 Funking A dude. Grunge is a way of life and my roots go deep there also.

  • i wish i had been in my 20s in the 90s

  • this is historical footage! lol....awesome vid and awesome music. great to see stuff like this, weren't the 90's just great!

  • so people made pointless videos before youtube?

  • Best comment so far! LOL!

  • the dude with the glasses looks like hank hill from king of the hill

  • Today's hipsters are such dorks. Lame attention seeking emo dorks.

  • When good music because popular there comes bad music which imitates it.

  • Basswho?

  • Too bad you can't suffocate in flannel.

  • lol. good comparison. i wouldn't be caught dead listening to any of this emo garbage floating around today.

  • i'll be back, im gonna go boil some water and try to scrub this from my memory banks

  • jjaja no, kurt not is good, kurt is a really god. ( of the flies)

  • Yeah... the grunge years were my era, i remember going to watch nirvana in 1992, and then i had just finished high school. getting stoned, and pissed every night. but wow times have changed now. good times.

  • I remember grunge coming out of no where back in 1990 with Mother Love Bone and thinking thank God. I never thought it would as big as it was. Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Sound Garden spelled it out for many of us. It was beginning to die in 1993 and knowing that I made sure lever to let it go. Today the music sucks. I hate bitch sluts like Miley Cyrus. Bunch of phony assholes they are. Who cares about some teen bitch. Kurt and Layne will live forever and rap sucks big cock. Peace

  • you took the words right out of my mouth. Grunge lives! Fuck Miley Cyrus that greedy ugly little cunt hole bitch has zero talent and is a total waste of skin. I wish she would got rot in hell. The 90's owned. I hate 110% of all the garbage called music that has been put out in the last 10 years... RIP KC and LS.

  • @cmtmj2007 Fuck of rap dumb asshole. Half of today music sucks, but who cares, when the another half are good musicians and when you think of fact that music doesn't change for years and in 90's there were a lot of shitty bands too? And Alice In Chains has nothing connected with grunge. AiC are just heavy metalheads that has nothing to true grunge music.

  • kurt is not God, kurt is good

  • Holy shit I think we planned the WTO protests from that house. I know one thing I found that brown couch in the dumpster and slept on it for 2 years. My sinuses haven't been the same since.

  • that is old

  • hey u like grunge, come check out my band's vids, leave coments and rate. it's called "RYNOH". rock on

  • wow.. the 90s.. i think the 90s were like the freshman year of college.. except, extended for an entire decade.

  • KURT IS GOD!

  • TEENAGE ANGST IN THE 90'S!

grunge was killed by hardcore and emo

  • No it was killed by people wanting to be all urban douchebag and listen to fucking rap and r&b like it's something special. That shit hasn't changed in the last 16 years..... when's it gonna be enough? When can we finally kill that shit off? I'm tired of beating the shit out of retarded wiggas and gangstas in my neighborhood. Those fuckin' pussies are whats wrong with America....ignorance is embraced.

  • yeah Im sick of this shit kids listen to today. You compare the rage of grunge in the nineties, to Justin Timberlake and Hannah Montanna, the art of music is dying with every minute song about fuckin hos and poppin asses. High hopes though for upcoming band Loose Ground

  • I completely agree whit you my friend. Music is dying every day because of manufactured pop and plastic hip hop and r and b. Everthing is over produced and everthing is just the same. Fuck them!!!

  • It's always been like that.

  • @dragaoastro69 Dude two years late and music has gotten even more crappy. Now it's the beiber shit. When I am 80 I will still be cranking Alice in Chain and Nirvana. I hope one day I can be around to hang with my grand sons and tell them what the great Grunge as was like in my 20's. Fuck it was the bomb. PEACE

  • Dude I fucking hate stupid chicks who go around like they are some retarded gangter black bitch. What the hell happened to being your self? Fucking rap and r&b sucks dick. No feeling or understanding to that shit. Grunge is still alive.

  • What a bunch of stoners...

  • The 90's...Best year of my life!

  • This video has little to do with grunge, but it does show what Seattle actually looks like: the (now gone) Kingdome, the Aurora tunnel, Volunteer Park... Of course grunge exists, it's just harder to nail down than some musical genres. And the revival is almost here, just watch.

  • I agree. The revival is coming. Let's do this thing.

  • sure it exixts, its a genre of rock. its a combination of punk, metal and alternative. look it up on wikipedia. and my bro is 24, he says its a fuckin genre too

  • im so jealous all of you out there who gone into a GRUNGE concert like Pearl Jam live in Seattle! Because im here in the Philippines!Huhuhuhuhuhuh\m/

  • hey man...great video, i like seattle & grunge

  • I would've liked to hang out with these guys! YAY GRUNGE! <3

  • Nice thread ya'll. Sure nuff, it's not unusual to hear people say you missed the "scene" but whatever, grunge was the dominant culture in these gen-x years. And yes, we were in fact, pricks. Bong loading pricks.

  • what are you guys up to these days?

  • The Grunge Years 1995? Grunge had peaked and died long before 95. You guys missed that shit by a few years.

  • Didn't Kurt Cobain only die only a YEAR before?

And besides, Grunge still lives on.

  • Yeah Kurt Cobain died a year before this. However the scene that got labeled "Grunge" in Seattle was much more than Nirvana. The scene...the trend...the "Grunge Years" IN Seattle..it was over before 1995.

As far as this YouTube video goes. Maybe these guys lived their own little personal version of Grunge in 95. I dont know??

  • Sure-their in their lil "bubble of the past", which in my opinion aint that bad of an idea!

    Grunge Rocks.

  • I agree! Grunge was & still is awesome. I was involved in the Seattle music scene before, during & after Grunge. The Grunge years were some of the most interesting times I had in Seattle. I saw things blow up & I saw things fall apart from the inside. Fun & fucked up. It was a great thing to be apart of! The music that was made will always kick ass!

  • Totally! have you ever seen Pearl Jam live in Seattle? Now THAT was pure Seattle grunge right there.

  • I saw Pearl Jam SO many times! I saw them as Mookie Blaylock at the Off Ramp before changing their name. I saw every show they played during "Ten". All the small club shows at RKNDY ect. The filming for the "Alive" video. The small free show at the Mural Amphitheater..the big free show at Magnuson Park. Lollapaloooza 2. 1990-1992 were the Grunge years for me. By 93 shit was huge & it wasnt our music scene any longer. It was the worlds & it wasnt fun anymore.

  • Ah, you got a point there.

Suddenly, everyone wanted to get in on the Grunge scene and it became a bit too mainstream...

(Oh, and DUDE! That's so friggin awesome! You've been to way more Pearl jam stuff than I have.)

  • thats true. I wish it was still up, though. I loved it.

  • no not really. grunge really came out around '83, then became popular by '89. then really went down with the death of kurt, in '94. but it still ligured on until about '97, cause of bands such as live and bush(whick were post grunge. so yea it peaked out in like '92.

  • Yeah, ask a 24 year old about music from pre-94.

Grunge does not exist as musical genre. It's an outdated style of clothing.

  • Grunge is awesome.
