i recomment this camera, the Olympus 570UZ or the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, but definetly not the P80. The movie mode of that camera makes all kind of crazy sounds and than you have the slowness of that thing. It's like pushing the button, setting a cup of coffee and look if the shot is done, de P80 is extremely slow. Overall this camera's best things are the incredibly good grip, the manuability, and the zoom. This camera is a pleasure to handle with all buttons in range of 1 finger.
why xd cards?! people hate them, and the cheapest versions "type m" allow only 10sec video clips at a time. Much more expensive and hard to find "type h" do more, but why bother. Some common sense will sell a lot more of these cameras
I am just an enthusiast so professional photographers might disagree, but this camera is by far the best super zoom on the market. It is amazing, you can shoot anything and in detail, stabilization is better than in other models, a tripod will make all the difference though.
i dont think the image quality can survive being bumped up another 2 megapixels using the SAME SENSOR as their other models. the images are already soft as it is on the 550 and 560.
At 1:07 - he says' 'Canons' - I think he meant to say 'Olympus'

I recommend you to buy the olympus camera due to the fact that you have the manual control of the camera... you know, the ring
