well dont't exactly remember but i am guessing it was on bimmerforums. and i have just found that it's even worse if you install the BOV with a PROcede because it messes with the computer and something i didn't read it in detail though

Well if you have, or if you're going to get a 1/3/535 dont be afraid to modify it. Im not familiar with the PROcede upgrade, but from experience the full active autowerkes kit for the N54 engine wont hurt anything directly. The kit includes piggyback computer, exhaust, CAIS, BOV, IC, SSK. Ive had a surprising amount of N54's come in for work, with the Active Autowerkes package and the problems people are having are worn clutches, and premature tire wear.

Nah Active Autowerkes BOV+Active Autowerkes Full exhaust with cat delete=sex. The borla exhaust is alright, but AA knows what they're doing with the 335

sounds good but still too resonated for my liking. my favorite is the rennart non-resonated cat back exhaust. maybe if you deleted some resonators you would get a less stock-sounding system. despite all, I STILL LOVE WHAT BORLA DOES.

Keep in mind that it is turbo charged. That will quiet any exhaust system.

The exhaust pulses spin the turbocharger, since the turbochargers are basically in the way it subdues the exhaust note.

Doesnt the n54 have an excess bypass valve the allows some exaust to bypass the turbo for exaust note purposes?

do you mean a wastegate? its not for exhaust note, and the turbos interfere THAT much with the exhaust note

i love this exhaust.....sounds like stock but with more balls, the way a good sounding exhaust should be. If you want it Any louder then you should try to work out your insecurities

Borla is not in the market to make a loud and obnoxious exhaust system. And yes, we did rev the vehicle to redline, I don't know how you based the rev to 3000 rpms only?
