A two-on-one tilt is my favorite move and i wrestle varsity, but this tilt is not a guarentee point(s). plenty of people have tried it on me and i have never been put in one. i always roll through or break the grip. but great tutorial. not putting you down or nothing. this is a great tutorial!
@jasonlanky7 A two-on-one tilt is guaranteed points if you know how to do it correctly... I've never wrestled someone who could beat my tilt once I locked up a 2on1.
@daykellonko THIS IS IT!!!! This and the crab-ride are all that you need; almost ever other tilt is superfluous. (there are a few exceptions, but they are not important. When I get a camera guy and wrestling partner I will put more up)
I did all these same tilts as a freshman in 1984. They took me into the northern California section finals. I highly recomend everyone to learn your tilts.
@TheHowtoGuyz Unfortunately, it does matter. When you get college and everyone's technique is awesome, strength is a key factor. In HS it may not matter so much, but as the competition gets better it does.
hey jason! very informational video man! i believe you thought the same move when you were at tech in summer! keep up the good stuff i gotta keep practicing my tilts and could you do a video on cradles? thx appreciate it
@sharongflake The vids are coming, I've been uploading and editing all week. When I launch my website, they will be in an easier to search fashion. For now, check out the video on the ankle-lace, it shows an overhead cradle.
@zilhar No. Size matters, but not height. There are phenomenal lanky wrestlers and phenomenal stocky wrestlers. No matter what your body type: PUT ON MORE MUSCLE.
can a shorter man leg ride a taller guyy? because I have a good ride when they're shorter than mee but its really tough for mee to ride the taller guys
our coach brought in his little brother and his friends to work out with us cuz they didn't have a practice a day that we did one of them was the 4th ranked 189 pounder he did this to every single one of our big guys except maybe our 89 cuz hes spose to finish 2nd to this guy at conference
lol! i was at my tournament this past week for JV wrestling at 171 and i got second because i pinned myself from this move XD. my opponent was outside of the circle so i needed to pull him in and as i pulled him in, the ref blew the whistle and i was happy but after i shook hands with my opponent the referee raised my opponent's hand and told me that wen i brought him in the circle, i was getting the back points until he saw that my back was flat on the ground and he had to call a defensive pin.
Yes, good question. The push-pull is important because it continues to turn him further onto his back, while simultaneously preventing roll-throughs. It also is somewhat painful, which may distract him for a moment (1 extra second can make the difference between 0 and 2 points).
Whenever you learn something new that contradicts what you've learned elsewhere, experiment with both and make the judgment for yourself.
i wrestle for saint anthonys catholic hs in huntingon. i saw this move being dne today at a meet and my friend that one doing the move didnt recive anypoints? the ref kept looking and said nothing?
It should be points if the man is in bounds and his back is exposed. Unfortunately some refs make bad calls, or are slow to begin counting. (I once had a ref tell me that a crab-ride tilt wasn't back-points because I was on my back too!)
Perhaps the man wasn't in criteria (you have to be passed a critical angle, perhaps 45 degrees? 90? I'm not sure.)
hey, i need help with my breakdowns and escapes and reversals. i get stuck when im on bottom and i can't usually break people down and if i can its really hard to keep them down. Im in the 112 weightclass. can you help me?
You just gotta keep learning man, check out my ankle lace series and also start to learn legs. This way you won't need to hold guys flat (I don't break guys down for more than a moment).
I'd have to post vids to help you on bottom, but I don't have a camera man right now :( soon!
@96gse If you execute the move correctly you will not get in any trouble. You can get pinned if you make a mistake, but once you get the move down-pat you will be fine.
how do you get to the two on one grip though????

What roll_through are you talking about that allows you to escape a two-on-one? Granby roll?

danhecvilll 1 year ago
@danhecvilll No, you can be in the middle too. It doesn't matter. What matters is that you are very technical and very strong.

@mrchristian2855
Yea, leg-riding is really important, especially if you are going to learn crab-ride.
I need a camera man and a demonstration partner to upload more videos, hopefully I will soon.
