Vehicles this big should avoid roads like this.. It is the drivers' responsibility to plan the route. In the UK it is the norm for HGV's to consult the police in advance to be sure which roads are safe to use.. Using a road like this for HGV's can so easily result in death..

The truck flipped because the long bedded green trailer cut the corner too much, forcing the other truck into the shoulder as the only way he could pass. of course the shoulder isn't graded for being driven on, so its not the same level as the rest of the road, and so, rather stupidly, he flips over. But the driver most as fault is the green trailer. how on earth would his truck make it around the turn with a trailer of that length safely even without any other cars on the road?

If you were the driver of that green truck, you wouldn't stick to the extreme right hand side of that road when you see a what looks like the edge of a cliff. You'd definitely drive on the yellow line, especially if you don't see anyone approaching the corner from the other side. :)

This is a textbook case. In a hairpin turn if two lorries of the same category arrive at the same time, the one which is going uphill has the right of way.
