  • personally i love jack whites guitar playing its not always about technicality as much as it is about soul and he plays with a lot of that in my mind jack white is one of the last few true blues guitarists and also one of the greats

  • I never noticed that he removed one of his pickups from his mont, weird

  • you people who think jack white is not a good guitarist and/or musician are out of your f-ing minds. but everyone has theyre own opinion. i love him and i think he is absolutely amazing

  • I think a lot of people think too much.

  • I will admit I am not his biggest fan but he handles the guitar with a lot of passion.

Notes/style are a matter of taste, but I will give him his props.

  • "Listen to the music, not the notes" is just something idiots who like hipster trash say to justify why their musicians' lack of ability. The notes are the music, you dolts; without them, it's just a guy up on stage writing in a suggestive manner.

  • @Socioistic nah, dissagree...you're right 'bout that notes are music, but..nah

If you say: listen to the music not the notes, it feels more like they mean ´´feel the music´´ instead of analysing the music to look for false notes and such..

  • @Pelleman666

Oh no, I completely agree. Half of the people these days hear music, and the other half listen. The half that listen do so too closely, and let the notes override the music; the former half don't care what the music is, as long as it has a steady, simple beat.

Honestly, he's not a bad player, and he can do a lot better than I could, and I do like some of the riffs in their songs, but his soloing... I guess isn't my cup of tea.

  • The guy is garbage ... you're listening to your imagination and what sounds like a 5yo with a new guitar going crazy that doesn't know what the heck they're doing making a lot of noise, often out of tune and time.

  • @JustPetre If jimmy page, or jimi hendrix, or any great blues artist heard you say that, they'd vomit.

  • @modaddyicedawggyT

Did you see Page in the docu, "It might get loud"?

Whenever Jack Shite played it looked like Page was going to laugh or throw up.

So you almost got it right.

When I was a kid, I knew what I wanted to play... then I actually got the talent to do more than make noise without really knowing what I was doing. Jack hasn't gotten there yet. He's like the Lady Gaga of guitar (without the talent) Do what shocks the audience. People rarely look away from train wrecks as well

  • @JustPetre Yeah, I just watched it the other day actually. he didn't look like that at all. They had a lot of fun jamming and Jack white isn't trying to shock the audience. He's just expressing himself in a way that he wants to, that also has a unique sound. He knows what he's doing and has a wide knowledge of music and blues. Maybe you wouldn't do it in the same way that he does, but he's doing what a musician should do. What he wants. And I love the sound of his playing.

  • @modaddyicedawggyT

Different strokes. Nothing wrong with that. But do not call that clown a good guitarist. It's an insult to intermediate players everywhere and even some beginners.

Call him creative. I think my creative juices are flowing now too. Somebody fetch me a 2x4, mic and a coke bottle! I hear a new song in my head!

  • @JustPetre If you can make music that people like and express yourself with a guitar, then you are doing a good job using it. Meaning jack white is good at guitar. I'm done.

  • He is Just.... Indescriptible For me .... Just make the rules

  • God i wish the whitestripes drummer would play a different fucking beat.

  • with the whammy jack is producing a modern take on a 1920's blues slide solo in my opinion...its just amazing...if u have a true love for music u can understand...the way he approaches the guitar at this day and age is fantastic...

  • my cat scratch me...

  • I don't know why, but this guy reminds me of Johny Depp in one of his movies...

  • @BX02 Edward Scissor Hands? Haha

  • where is this recorded? is it blackpool lights?

btw jack white is god of music and guitar solos

  • @akts94 yes it's live under blackpool lights

  • why compare white stripes to metallica or eddie van halen? completely different music... they are all great in their own way

  • actually if you look at his foot on 0:21 he does use a whammy

  • i love how jack just rapes the whammy

  • i want to see tom morello and jack have a whammy pedal battle

  • That would be interesting.

  • @TheGatman100 I would love to see that.

  • #17 of all time, all I can say

  • is that coming out of a mathematical ecuation or just some random smart ass's chart ?

  • It was in like rolling stone magazine or something a while back.

  • nice, rolling stone the devaluated reputation of that mainstream top seller, a merc of the musical industry, again nothing against jack white but this magazine if the wite strpes never selled that much do you think they would care about listing it?? no sir, so do that chart make honour to reality, no

  • You my good sir are a jackass, Jack White is a great guitarists his solos always fit the song and are completely badass without going overboard like so many other guitarists today. And one other thing he plays with more feeling and emotion than pretty much every other guitarist around today.

  • He plays emotive blues in the penatonic scale.

    Nothing amazing about that.

  • wow just wow look at mister i know everything and nothing amazes me must be great going through shitting on everything and enjoying nothing. I bet you listen to boring virtuosos like malmsteen, batio, and satriani who are like fucking robots I'll take Jack White anyday because sorry if i like a little emotion from my guitarists

  • Actually, you bet wrong.

I don't listen to any of those guitarists.

I like emotion too, all I was saying is that Jack White, while he's good and enjoyable to listen to, is nothing amazing.

If you want to attack my use of proper grammar as well, go for it, I know it's your last resort asshole.

  • Actually no douchebag I was planning on resorting to swearing and whatnot, but if you think you know everything go for it pal. If Jack White isn't an amazing guitarist than who is.

  • Sorry, I'm not going to shoot off a bunch of names to try and somehow validify my statement. I'm just going to stop by saying I don't think Jack White is anything amazing.. like I said in the beginning.

  • Thats cause you have none.

  • You're completely right, you win, can I suck your massive dick now?

  • @wtficantgetanamewtf Eddie Van Halen, that's who.

  • it doesn't need to be amazing. or you like it, or you don't. and that's it. he doesn't have to be a fuckin' virtuoso in order to be amazing.

  • they sold only ten milions !!!

compared to 200 milions albums sold by metaliuca they a

  • compared to 200 milions by metalica they are nothing

  • amount of records sold means nothing bro

  • i sent this comment tto the guy who said that the stripes sold records and this is why they are famous and this isn't true they are just great

  • The thing about that though is that metallica's been around since the early 80s and thats pretty much two decades before the white stripes put out anything. Plus 12 million albums sold in this day and age is pretty damn respectable with all the illegal downloading that goes on.

  • @wtficantgetanamewtf

you say they've been around since the early 80's, yet you say that "12 million albums sold in this day and age is pretty damn respectable with all the illegal downloading that goes on", this day and age? you think that illegal downloading was happening in the early 80's? Sir, It seems you contradicted yourself.

  • @joeymatthews123 It seems you have a reading comprehension problem because I said METALLICA has been around since the early 80s. Nice try though buddy.

  • @wtficantgetanamewtf

your new comment makes no sense, i didnt name any bands.Nice try though BUDDY.

  • @joeymatthews123 You implied that I said the White Stripes were around since the 80s and that illegal dowloading was happening then. When in fact I didn't and said Metallica was around since the early 80s and was making the point that the White Stripes selling 12 million albums in the 2000s is quite an impressive feat due to illegal dowloading hampering record sales.

  • @wtficantgetanamewtf

It seems i've messed up here, I thought you were implying that The White Stripes aren't as good as Metallica, and we're saying Metallica had sold 12 million copies. I should have read earlier posts by you, my bad. In the end, turns out were all white stripes fans.

  • @wtficantgetanamewtf jack white is a huge vinyl pusher, and his fans usually are too. sometimes i can't afford a vinyl, but I never download an entire album, ii'll buy it on cd instead. it makes the music, palpable.

  • your right he's all good

  • Quality of this video ruins the magic.

  • hes good. she sucks though

  • i like the white stripes, and i like jack as a musician, but part of me wants to say he sucks and im better then him haha

  • sorry but that sounded like shit!

  • Now I know what heaven's like...

  • you know nothing

  • do you play the guitar?

  • ur a little bitch cunt if u dont like Jack then why do u waste ur time and comment on this video u fuckin peice fuck you Jack White is the greatest but ur just to fuckin stupid to know that right u stupid fuck

  • Your right it was a waste of time. I thought I'd give Jack White a chance, I heard this and it was a TOTAL waste of time. Its cool, although thats two minutes of my life I'll never get back, I can live with it. You make me laugh, you really do. Your right I know nothing. I guess that my ears are hearing garbage bullshit noise while your ears hear the greatest thing ever... thats because YOU know nothing. I could make the guitar sound better with my eyes closed.

  • eeehhh stop all your damn squawk boxin , damn haters this dude is fucking badass look up death letter under blackpool lights jack white is one of the most innovative and creative slide players around. the way i see it if you dont like it dont listen.

  • well your two cents don't add up to shit jack whites playing rocks the cock and if you don't feel it you have no cock.

  • The reason some people don't think White is good is because they listen for the notes. When you listen to Jack White play guitar, don't listen for notes, but for sounds. You'll understand his music a lot better if you do.

  • @popomczowzow Listen to the sounds..really?...this is what the new era of music has come down to..don't listen for notes..but for sound..

fuckin genius..Hope doctors don't follwo the same practice in med school...

  • @BX02 Let's take for example, Jimmy Page. His top act was taking a violin bow and playing guitar with it. He got sounds, beautiful sounds, and with them music. Music, my friend, isn't just notes but also the half notes and the sounds that can't be fit into notes, just like geniuses aren't normal people. I'm not trying to start a tube-fight, just to shed some light on my point of view.

  • @Tale077 yes...I see your point...

  • @BX02 hahahahahahaha youre are such an asshole

  • @popomczowzow Ummm, no, he is just not very good.

  • @popomczowzow yeah, I LOVE the way he plays..but it wouldn't be at all as cool if he wasn't usiing his effects ass well as he does.. It would still be good, but it would stop there an he would just be a regular guitar player.

But now instead, his solos gives alot of us eargasms:)

  • @Pelleman666

he'd still be way above average. plenty of times you can hear him play without a lot of effects and it's still really good, albeit less unique and way less "jack"

  • @popomczowzow

youre right... music definitely isnt about notes...

    wtf was i thinking.

  • @dlfields37 I'm not saying to ignore notes. He clearly plays notes in the correct key that sound good. What I was saying is don't be so close-minded, expect him to make his guitar scream, initiate feedback, get some crazy sound from a pedal, or hit a dissonant note for effect. The greats like Hendrix, Page, and The Beatles all used those similar techniques to enhance their music.

  • technically he may not the best, but listen to his rythem and tone and its pretty impresssive, :P i didnt realise he was so good

  • Many people, guitar greats, music critics, etc agree that Jack is one of the best guitarists out there right now. If this isn't your cup of tea, fine, but don't slam him. He is more talented than any of you will ever dream to be.

  • i agree 100% on that, he is an amazing musician and the ppl who bash him are just trolls lookin for some food-DONT FEED EM!

  • Well i don't know about that there are people in small clubs & on YouTube that make him look rather bad..

Pentatonic scale + Wammy pedal = Jack White, really..

Not that he's awful, but there is nothing that anybody couldn't learn themselves, if they just stopped fawning over musicians & actually put the time in to be one themselves..

  • If you think his level of talent and musical genius is matched by amateurs, fine, that's your opinion, however that makes my opinion of you low as far as recognition of talent.

Watch some interviews of him, you'll see what he is all about. He could do all those flashy technical solos, but that isn't Jack White's style.

  • An amateur is just someone who doesn't get payed for doing something, & there are easily plenty of amateur guitarists who could give White a run for his money..

They just don't make such a nice photograph, or have a gimmick or the music press hype..

He's not a flashy technical solo person either, like i told you before it's his digitech wammy pedal thats doing the moving, not his hands..

Like i said before i don't mind the guy, but he's overrated in the extreme..

  • You aren't understanding what I am saying, so I'll just leave it at this; you are entitled to your opinion, and I respect that, but you're wrong.

  • "...there is nothing that anybody couldn't learn themselves..."

I don't get why people always think that's a bad thing. Of course anyone can play it. That's good. Look, finger gymnastics are never a substitute for emotional content. Regardless of how many scales he knows, his guitar playing goes for the jugular, and that's the important thing.

  • Yeah i agree..

He has his own style & thats cool, no one could play exactly how he plays..

My was point was that people shouldn't idolize when they could be doing something equally original themselves if they put their mind to it..

I think saying someone has "natural talent" takes away from all the hard work they put in to actually learning the instrument..

  • Okay cool, I see what you're saying now. I agree, people can go a little overboard with the hero worship. People can make someone into a god, when really they're just a person like any other. Still, I think it has its place. I know I never would've picked up the instrument in the first place if it weren't for some of my favorite guitarists.

  • bad as shit!

  • maybe its because you suck and he is far better than you'll ever be at guitar that you feel that you have to insult a very talented guitarist.

  • he is a awsome guitarist but i don think he really deserved to be on the upper part of the 100 best guitarists list, I am just pissed that jeff healey isnt on it

  • To be honest with you I don't feel he's mind blowing or captivating as a guitarist, But you need major talent to carry a two piece band and succeed. I will say he way more creative and has a better comprehension of his fret board than most mainstream guitarist today.

  • I agree. And did I miss Eric Johnson, or was he actually not on it?

  • Amazing

  • So sick.

  • the nice thing about jack is that he doesn't shred a lot... but he solos with a lot of feeling and not like manny of the guitarists now a day who play as fast they can...

  • the same thing is said about david gimour

  • HELL YES David shreds with single notes!!

  • jesus, what the hell was that shit... he needs to tune up...

  • he likes the falls notes, and some of the errors. Makes it sound raw and unique too,,

Its not like he cant do a perfectly flawless solo,, but he just doesnt like it. Every time he plays a song, its a bit different

  • at 0:30 is " ball and biscuits"

  • what song is it at 0:30 ?

  • you guys are pussies

  • i gotta say your right i shouldnt have argued with this guy on the internet

  • I have a feeling he'd be a respectable guitar player if he'd just get some decent gear. Great playing but horrific tone.

  • it's like art, I love it

  • Dude hes playing punk rock thats how its supposed to sound and hes got freakin awesome gear dude he plays Orange Rockerverbs and Fender heads if u havent played those sets of gear u need to they kill

  • Right because his lyrics often have nothing to do with politics and he knows most of the essential scales for guitar and his songs often consist of very intricate rhythms involving more than three chords. That sure sounds like punk to me because anyone who has any grasp on styles and knowledge of genrelizing as well as punk would be able to tell this isn't it.

  • dude its part punk rock and listen to some of the Elephant tracks most of it is punk rock but it isnt all punk rock and DONT FUCKING TELL ME I DONT HAVE A GRASP ON MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE!! i know a hell of a lot more than u do u know who the Lightning Hopkins is? do u know who BB King is and another thing PUNK ROCK IS AN ATTITUDE NOT A MUSICAL STYLE!!!

  • I know good in well who Lighning Hopkins and his partner Wilson Thunder were, some of my favorite blues compositions like Mojo Hand and Lightnin sky hop are his handy work. Plus, I think anyone with any grasp of what blues is knows who b.b. king is so that's not impressive at all. As well to talk blues, do you know who John Lee Hooker was or how bout T-bone Walker, Freddie King, or the innovator root of the crossroads myth Robert Johnson was?

  • Also, unless you actually play an instrument I seriousely dought you can even concieve the amount of theory as well as styles I've learned to play as a guitar and piano player. Anything from jazz, funk, blues, rockabilly, metal, even some blue grass.

  • You have no fucking idea who your talking to then! do u know what a Floyd Rose is? and do u know what sweep picking is have u ever played a Orange Rockerverb 100 stack do u know what a Effects loop is? DONT FUCKING JUMP ON YOUR HIGH HORSE I MAY NOT BE GOD BUT BUDDY U SURE AS HELL AINT GOD!!!!...get a grip i play guitar drums bass and sing!

  • Never said I was dumb ass what the fuck does god have to do with music anyway! I know good in well what a floyd rose is unless someone lived under a rock the past three decades they would know who Van Halen is and the fact that he originally came up with the concept. I know a shitload of arpeggios( the actual term for "Sweeps") from Ionian to friggian.(those are modes incase you didnt know) And who fucking cares what amps I have and haven't used that doesn't prove anything.

  • im tired of agueing the rest of the ppl here are right its stupid to argue here anyways dont just jump to a fucking conclusion about me u have no idea who i am and also i have no idea who u are but to end this all PUNK ROCK IS AN ATTITUDE i dont want to argue anymore!

  • you are my hero

  • why ppl dont like me here even tho i did start an arguement which was pointless i lost which is also not the point i guess i like jack white more than that guy he just doesnt like me and he thinks hes a freakin god i guess but i still know about music so i dont why he was gettin all high and mighty i guess hes just a dick but i dont know word to the wise dont argue with a dick on the internet its pointless

  • you do realise you're an idiot, right?

  • dont often care much for even listening to people agrue on youtube, but that really was idiotic, agreed.

  • jaack white is a living orgasm (: ,,, he is gorgeous ,, meg sucks on the drums, i could play 10000 times better than her ;)

  • the best guitarist know how to make slower guitar sound sick. people that play fast usually are jealous of people like jack white cuz he makes it look easy.

  • he's good, but #17 of all time, no way

  • obviously any of those lists are all just that group of people's personal faves. I think he's the best thing to happen to blues guitar since Billy Gibbons.

  • your right... he should be higher

  • people keep teling me that he is'nt a good guitarist cause he does'nt play as fast as some other guys but the way i see it that does'nt matter, he's amazing!

  • fucking god

  • I think - and don't get me wrong I am a Jack White fanboy - that what Jack plays isn't technically great, but it's the fact that he completely owns what he does, so totally in the moment. He wrenches some crazy sounds out of that noise stick, unbelievable!

  • I don;t think i is so much techniue but meoldic ness he lacks, his stuff tends to be very sort of quirky and jerky, but I thyink that is his choice because it is hi sort of signature sound. Listeing to some of the trcks off Chinese Democracy the other day and the guitar players on there are trying to do the Jack white crazy solo thing but couldn't pull it off lol.

  • Quirky and jerky indeed, but in a good way. I especially love that Jack didn't feel the need to go straight for a Les Paul or Strat, but then again he's a big Gretsch player now in the 'Stripes as well as the Raconteurs. No bad thing I guess... just trot along with the new 'Stripes album though Jack :P

  • Yeah, in a good way, I should have said that actually, cause I think it is defniietly his thing and no one does it quite as well. I like the stripes, but I think I probably like the racontuers more, live at Glastonbury here on the Youtube was awesome, they were just on fire.

  • And they had that buig guitar sound, you know not over processed digital, just bog raw and dirty, just the way i like it lol. Plus there acousitc stuff on Consolers of the Lopnely was cool, heavy man, not just the usual soppy acoustic rubbish you often hear. In fact, consloers of the lonely is i think one of the best albums of th last ten years or more, so a variety of stuff and so much attitude!

  • I saw the raconteurs live in Edinburgh in August. I can tell no lie, they were Amaaaaaaazing. Managed to get to the front row, about five feet from Brendan Benson - ok so he's not Jack, but I can digg his work :P

  • Lucky you, Brendan is good in his own way but Jack just dominates the stage, it is amazing, You were lucky to see them, i wonder whne they are comin to Aus?

  • Aren't they the Saboteurs in Australia since the name was already taken? Could be a publicity ruse knowing what Jack is like...

  • Yeah they are, apparnetly the name was taken, although as you say publicity./ But they are hardly knowno here, which I find amazing, cause they are such a great group. Still, I guess we just need to educate people lol.

  • dude i was at a guitar shop today and they had to HB airlines (jack's guitar) on sale for 700, and 1300

  • Truly the most amazing display of guitar ever...I don't why people think Kevin Jonas is so great at guitar; It's sad my cousin loves K.J and thinks JACK WHITE SUCKS COMPARED TO HIM! I mean, WTH! I THINK JACK SHOULD REALLY GET KNOWN BY THESE FRICKEN FANGIRLS!

  • what effect does he juse?

  • jack white is an inventor..he is a one of a kind..jimmy page is amazing but i think that most of the guitar players back then are too glorified as the years go by..

  • wow nice sound..but its similar to tom morello's sound..by the way what model is that?Gibson Freebird?

  • it is close to tom morello because it is his own sound and he plays a Airline Res-O-Glas i think i know airline makes it

  • sounds like tom because both use the digitech whammy,

thats how jack gets that distinctive sound in all his solos

  • There's something special about Jack White. Maybe the fact his solos sound like his guitar is out of tune? He does sound like Tom Morello, if he had all those pedals and maybe a tuned guitar. Haha. But Jack White is awesome, no doubt.

  • jack white and john mayer are the new jimmy page and eddy van halen

  • you did NOT just put john mayer in the same category as jack white. jack white is the greatest musician of our time.

  • John Mayer is good too...but basically I agree with you.

  • And I am the new messiah. Quit blatantly stating your opinion as fact. :)

  • You are a complete moron....Those guys changed the way guitar is played...Jack White and John Mayer aren't even a pimple on either Page's or EVH's ass.....

  • Honestly White is good and unique, so maybe you are right on that, but MAYER? Van Halen and Jimmy Page changed guitar and expanded music, take them away and there are huge gaps in the music of the last 30-40 years, take Jack White away a, lot less indie/rock players, take Mayer away and there would be little difference. He is just Rolling Stone's favourite cover boy, he is good, but there are many better, take Joe Bonamaasa for instance, no way is Mayer comparable to Page or Van Halen inmho.

  • I ahve met a heap of players young and old insopired by EVH and Jimmy Page, and a growing number insoired by Slash and also the White Stripes and those indie/rock groups, but I have yet to meet one player to cite Mayer as an influence. He is way over-rated,and he plays the blues like a wimp, hism pop stuff is way better actually, but even so just cause he did a toned down version of beat it with FoB don't make him EVH by a long shot.

  • I dont think Mayer is in anyway trying to be EVH. He is though, a shining light on music right now. When things like Soulja boy are topping charts its nice to see that people still respect good music. You cant deny that Mayer has a distinct tone too. when a mayer song comes on you know who it is instantly...just like Page or EVH. And the fact that hes a great singer WHILE being a great guitarist gets alot of respect in my book.

  • No, I was commeniont on an earlier comment saying he was the new EVH. I agree with you a bit, but considering most of his career has been pop like soulja boy, I think ity;s gonna take more than on blues album. His tone I don't know if it is that distinct, but if it is too you thats great. I don't have a prob with him, except that he is getting way over-rated, i even heard someone say he would eclipse Hendrix. I just think that a little perspective wouldn't hurt. Good yes, God? hmm maybe not.

  • pop and blues, mayer is a great musician. i dont think people on soulja boi would know what the fuck root motion is, or a 1 4 5 progression, let alone even the time sig of 6/8. that lack of musicality turns me off from a lot of so called "musical geniuses" mozart and beethoven were musical geniuses, not jack white. just my two cents

  • True, my problem with mayer is not what he plays, but how he plays it, a lot of the time I feel he is playing from his head not his heart, certainly inhis bles stuff. There is more to being a great blues artist than technique and taste. Haing said that I agree with the rest of yuor comment though, you go to a big centre and check out some of the bands playing in the pubs of places like nashville or new orleans etc, and you will see musos who would kick most of these "geniuses" asses.

  • Sure he is. The problem is, you're comparing older composers to a rock n roll player, which is...kind of ridiculous. Two completely different worlds.

Also, it can be easy to get too hung up on theory. Don't let your enjoyment of music turn into a math equation. Hendrix couldn't read music, but he was a god on guitar.

  • what did i compare? i stated my opinion of 2 renowned classical musicans and jack fucking white. didi break down jack whites 1 4 5's and sloppy solos to a beautiful Bach piece? your second statement i agree, i dont play music that follows a lot of theory, but im saying the light has shifted from those who spend hours and develop what many would consider psychological disorders because of the way their music spoke to them. i think the now is more image and culture based then it ever has been.

  • plus you have the psychological theory (pretty factual) that people are conditioned according to their culture and environment around them. so if you raise someone like me to listen to this style all the fucking time nothing else and constantly tell me its good, and advertise it everywhere, i will shape my opinion around that. however i am just using reason to say that there are many more who deserve jack whites fortunes more than him. but the universe doesnt work around actualmusician ship.

  • that was very insightful, i've never really looked at it that way before. Your right though, in theory, it's all mass fed bullshit! this is too deep for me, i'm outta here!

  • Why would it be important how many hours he spends writing it or how rich he is? I'm interested in music, not bullshit. Again, it just seems silly to me to compare someone who would spend hours writing music for a room full of musicians with someone who just plays what he feels at the time. I'm not saying one's better than the other, I'm just saying they two totally different worlds. I prefer one thing, you prefer something else, so let's move on and leave it at that.

  • meh whatever, i wasnt born in the right era lmao. i just feel like these guys today arent really what grammy material should be. and although they arent on his dicksucking fan comment box, there are many who would agree. he shouldnt be listened to by a bunch of non guitarists or newb guitarists and then considered ''THE BEST EVER." lets see him do backflips while playing that shit or something, hendrix played this shit better with his fucking teeth.

  • that being said, hes not too bad.

  • Lol, well I think it's a little unfair to compare him to HENDRIX, I mean, no one's that good. Eh, I dunno, I'm not concerned with what is or isn't grammy worthy, I just know what I feel and what I don't feel. And for me, this feels pretty cool.

  • Your talking about one thing as a whole not two. Playing what you feel at the time and composing music for hours is part of being a musician. How do you think the greats like hendrix and page and such got so good and were able to express themselves to the full potential of their creative soul? They sat around playing what they felt and composing for hours. Sitting around noodling is still composing because a good guitar player would try to connect licks and create something not just make noise..

  • if ur so fuckin great why dont post a video of u playin then we will see whos better but jack will still be better than u little fuckin bitch

  • Makin a video right now just for you. When you get Jacks cock outta your mouth you should check it out.

  • talkin to JWIIIman lover

  • Yes, and Randy Rhoads composed almost all his solos beforehand. But I was actually making a point about classical music. Lol, what did you leave like thirty douchebag comments on this video? Were you bored today or what?

  • w/e fuck u if im a douche I love debating about music. It pisses me off cause I am a guitar player and a musician. When little faggot kids like that pussy below me come on here and start talkin shit Im gonna say something. Im just pissed that no body knows REAL music anymore. If Jack white came out 30 years ago during a generation that knew music he wouldnt be shit. Im sick of half assed lame guitar players. All his Jack Whites solos sound the fucking same. He abuses that whammy pedal... Im done

  • Yes I know, you play guitar, so you think you're the ultimate authority on what everyone else should like. Seen it a billion times. Dude, if you don't feel this, then that's fine, but don't act like your opinion is some great universal truth. Lol, and what is it guitar snobs have against whammy pedal. I happen to like the whammy pedal.

Hey, lets debate which ice cream flavor is best. I say chocolate's the best, and anyone that likes vanilla is a homo!!!!!!!!!

  • Nah man. Not try to force anything on anybody. I never once said that nodody should listen to him. All I did was state MY opinion. Bottom line is if someone told me they wanna learn to play guitar, I wouldnt have them study Jack White. If you like his style and music fine, but he is not the incredible guitarist everyone makes him out to be, and thats a fact. And its comments by mostly people who dont play that think what hes doing is incredible, truth is its really not.
