It's funny, but it's sad, too. Welles was once the most prestigious filmmaker in Hollywood, as both a director and an actor. Citizen Kane is still considered a masterpiece among films, but it also angered the wrong people, who got him blackballed, which sent his career spiraling down... to this, being forced to do crappy commercials just to pay the bills. There are points in this when it sounds like he's about to cry.
