GEN 2:17 God told Adam, "in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Adam didn't die within 24 hours after this..... God can't lie- Titus 1:2. A Day with The LORD is different then a day of mans. 2 Peter 3:8 "that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." The sun and moon weren't created until the fourth day, GEN 1:16-19.

@STEEL14759 Adam did die the moment he sinned. He died spiritually. Also his began the decay that day that led to his physical death. But there is no reason that day in that context has to be taken as a 24 hour day. It doesn't have an evening, morning, and number...As for 2 Peter, you need billions of years not 1000s. And since you want to apply verse out of context, ignoring that God is saying he is patient & willing to wait for us to repent, would you say Christ was in the tomb 3000 years?

@STEEL14759 It doesn't matter what day the sun was created. There was still light, the earth was still spinning, there were EVENING and MORNING on the first 3 days, and every other time yom (day) is used in the Bible with evening and/or morning and/or a number, they are literal 24 hour days.

Hugh Ross for the WIN! He was much more prepared and professional in his approach, not to mention he never resorts to personal attacks like Mr. Hovind. Ankerburg wasn't biased, just more persuaded by the truth being presented by Dr. Ross.

People can argue what the bible says and what evidence they think they have. Only one can be right. Or they are both wrong. This is the point where i say i am not God. I will not question what God said nor will i try to talk like i know what God did.

According to Jesuits- they've infiltrated seminaries and colleges throughout North America for the past 2 hundred years to counter the teachings of the reformers to return to sound doctrines (which is why schools were organized in order to learn to read the Bible). They've been successful.It's not a surprise therefore that these kinds of teachings (contrary to a literal 6 days) are in fact being taught for many generations now. To the extreme that we are being lead astray to false doctrine.

He didn't think we were so stupid that we couldn't comprehend time frames? I think God meant it exactly the way he said it, and confirmed that by giving us the passing of time, "evening and morning". if he would have not mentioned that then they may have a case, but that is the jewish day.

It is important how we got here, and while this is an open hand argument between believers, we must keep in mind that the real argument of creation is: "In the beginning God" or "In the beginning it." I know christians that are young earth and old earth, but their belief is still "In the beginning God." While we can differ on our interpretation of the text, we must be faithful to the text and not imply what is not written: don't make it a young earth or make it an old earth. The Genesis account

In regards to a creator God who created the universe, He is outside space and time; he's above it, beyond it, in it, through it. And if we've evolved, then how can you explain emotions like love, hatred, envy, morals. If your brain is just a random collection of chemicals that formed by chance over billions of years, then how can you trust your own reasoning and processes and the thoughts that you have.

What I've learned listening to many theistic evolutionists is that they can't make too many references to the Bible without some complex explanation and tries to fit a theory into scripture. Creationists on the other hand, explains what the bible says about our existence and uses the Bible as their foundation for explanation. "theistic" and "evolution" are a contradiction in terms. @eagleeye2102 I think Ken Ham & Jason Lisle did a much better job against Hugh Ross. See their debate on my other channel (listed on my channel - I hate that I can't post links here).

Among other things, I think Hovind didn't get = time with the moderator Ankerberg siding with Ross, he wasn't able use his Powerpoints as he's used to, didn't get a chance to counter a lot of things that were said, and didn't want to talk about the Hebrew much with his devotion to the KJV.
