Brings me to tears every time. God loves you and me. And there are times when it's so tough, and through the pain you cant imagine anyones there. But he is, and he's gonna save you.:')
I always shiver at this. Then I tear up... thinking about who I once was(only 17) and.. I use to drink and drugs, turned to cutting. It felt so good v_v. But then I started to go to church with my friend.. He said things would get easier and so they did. I am better<3 I am pure.
134 people still have a chance to save themselves...i hope you do so, and ask that you please make the right decision...because you always have a choice.

I was almost part of that 1,500 teens...and Im still that 1 out of 5 that thinks about it...I cant watch this skit or listen to this song without crying...
Why do people argue? If you don't believe in Jesus or what he said, why say anything at all about him? If you're here to argue, the biggest argument of all is why are you here in the first place?
We'd all be better off and have a much greater understanding of things if we just did what God said to do: Be quiet, and be still.

@CutClip God created us in his own image shown at the beginning of the skit. i believe you can find that in Genesis. Us, being humans and not perfect fell away from him for earthly pleasures, you can still see Jesus calling out to us, because he loves us. And near the end when she has tried everything else she realizes her need for jesus but she can't do it alone. Because of his love for her (us) he steps in and takes all the beating to save us (cross). But he is not defeated
he defeats sin once and for all. and we are made new again (with the white shirt) and we are with him for eternity. if you want specific versus from the Bible just ask and i will tell them
In order to be forgiven you must not only accept that God exists but that his son came down from heaven and saved our souls. You must not also only believe but also follow the lord because just believing is not enough. Once you follow him you will follow his word and you will be forgiven as you pray to him for forgiveness. @CutClip Personally, I believe that to be saved you must accept and believe in Jesus. However, if you keep living your life according to the world, then you are not a true Christian. True Christians' lives change because of God - they begin to do good deeds not because they are saved through them but because they glorify God through their works. I'm not saying you instantly become a saint but if after you accept Jesus and you still treat people like dirt...can you really say you accepted Jesus?
@CutClip But I think the difference is, the thief truly believed in Jesus. And had he survived his death sentence, I bet he would've lived a God-filled life, like Paul did. I'm not saying that there's a certain amount of fruit a Christian must show but if Paul had accepted Jesus and kept maliciously persecuting the church as he used to after that, I don't think he'd get into heaven. Your sins are wiped clean only if you truly repent. Jesus is not a ticket to an" all you can sin" fest.

it's not the works that save the person but it is the change in the person who is saved which causes them to do good works. Someone who is saved in God will want to do good works because they want to follow the bible with all their heart. Someone can only be saved by accepting jesus as their savior and following him. Simply believing in God is not enough, it says:
"You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble!"
@yaruwatiri I know a good number of saved people who have chosen to live in rebellion and opposition to God, and i even witnessed them accept Jesus as their savior.
Actually, many times that person is me, and i dare say if you were honest it would you as well.
The Bible doesn't teach that you must "follow" Jesus in order to be saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
I understand that we are only saved by God's grace because none of us is good enough not to sin. But when we except God we should have a desire to try to be like Jesus and to follow him, we will sometimes mess up and fail and we can never repay our dept but we should try as hard as possible to follow his word as much as possible. Which I'm sure you do just as I do so that we can honor him and really strive to do his will and not ours.

This past year has been quite hellish! i have an eating disorder and one of the things that helped me get out of it was listening to christian radio stations. I used to be super close to Jesus but now i feel distanced. its awful! im depressed and suicidal and need him more than ever and i know hes calling my name but i cant hear him! hes never tested me this much before and im giving up.

I love all of the Lighthouse skits... This is for the older generation.. If you have been through something and Gob brought you out of what ever it is.. You are here to tell the next person about your experence and the goodness Of God and that they can survive and get out of it.. what ever it is....
I absolutely love this, it shows how even though you stray away from God he is forgiving and will always be there in your time of need.. God loves us all, even when we treat him in such bad ways. Every young adult out there can learn from this skit. It touches my heart and moves me, I am fixing to turn 19 and I can relate to some of these things, but we have to turn to God he always forgives and understands even when we think he may not.
I cried the first time that i watched this. I have struggled with eating disorders. I make my self throw up and i cut myself. It was at my friends church that i first watched it. This saved my life i was ready to give up and i think that God spoke to me and told me that everything was going to be ok. I still cut but i am trying to stop. Any ideas on how i can stop?

@CutClip God created us in his own image shown at the beginning of the skit. i believe you can find that in Genesis. Us, being humans and not perfect fell away from him for earthly pleasures, you can still see Jesus calling out to us, because he loves us. And near the end when she has tried everything else she realizes her need for jesus but she can't do it alone. Because of his love for her (us) he steps in and takes all the beating to save us (cross). But he is not defeated

In order to be forgiven you must not only accept that God exists but that his son came down from heaven and saved our souls. You must not also only believe but also follow the lord because just believing is not enough. Once you follow him you will follow his word and you will be forgiven as you pray to him for forgiveness. @yaruwatiri I go to a church where sound doctrine is preached, but what you are preaching is called Lordship Salvation.
You believe that works can save a person, and this is the opposite of the gospel.
I suggest you subscribe to LauderdaleBaptist
They have posted many videos which deal with this heresy and expose it, and they have also promised to answer questions about it.

@CutClip Personally, I believe that to be saved you must accept and believe in Jesus. However, if you keep living your life according to the world, then you are not a true Christian. True Christians' lives change because of God - they begin to do good deeds not because they are saved through them but because they glorify God through their works. I'm not saying you instantly become a saint but if after you accept Jesus and you still treat people like dirt...can you really say you accepted Jesus?

@CutClip But I think the difference is, the thief truly believed in Jesus. And had he survived his death sentence, I bet he would've lived a God-filled life, like Paul did. I'm not saying that there's a certain amount of fruit a Christian must show but if Paul had accepted Jesus and kept maliciously persecuting the church as he used to after that, I don't think he'd get into heaven. Your sins are wiped clean only if you truly repent. Jesus is not a ticket to an" all you can sin" fest.

The Bible said God repented a number of times... do you think God has sinned?
So repentance is not what you think it is in the context of salvation.
You have been taught Lordship Salvation.
Repentance means to change your mind, and in the context of salvation it specifically means to change your mind about Jesus.
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Romans 5:20

But I agree. You and I can say as much as we want about this but in the end, it's all up to God to decide on a person's fate. And how can we ever fathom what his choices are? :)

This is one of the main reasons we have the Bible.
Otherwise, what good is a book written by God that doesn't tell us anything about God?
Fortunately, the Bible has a lot to say about what God thinks and what he desires.
In the Bible, God makes much of his will very clear, and he makes it very clear that he wants everyone to be saved.

@CutClip I know. But there are a lot of things we will NEVER understand in our lifetime because we're not God. That's why we don't have all the answers, but that's ok too. All that matters is that we are assured of God's love for us.
Also...it is hurtful to have a fellow Christian write in such a condescending manner...I know you probably don't mean it but it does stumble me a bit. Kinda like you have a "holier than thou" attitude. I never said that God didn't want everyone to be saved.

The girl grows into a relationship with him, but get's taken over by the sins of the world. Because God can't always be holding our hand, he has to let us decide what we want. it's not the works that save the person but it is the change in the person who is saved which causes them to do good works. Someone who is saved in God will want to do good works because they want to follow the bible with all their heart. Someone can only be saved by accepting jesus as their savior and following him. Simply believing in God is not enough, it says:
"You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble!"

Actually, many times that person is me, and i dare say if you were honest it would you as well.

I understand that we are only saved by God's grace because none of us is good enough not to sin. But when we except God we should have a desire to try to be like Jesus and to follow him, we will sometimes mess up and fail and we can never repay our dept but we should try as hard as possible to follow his word as much as possible. Which I'm sure you do just as I do so that we can honor him and really strive to do his will and not ours.

This past year has been quite hellish! i have an eating disorder and one of the things that helped me get out of it was listening to christian radio stations. I used to be super close to Jesus but now i feel distanced. its awful! im depressed and suicidal and need him more than ever and i know hes calling my name but i cant hear him! hes never tested me this much before and im giving up.

I absolutely love this, it shows how even though you stray away from God he is forgiving and will always be there in your time of need.. God loves us all, even when we treat him in such bad ways. Every young adult out there can learn from this skit. It touches my heart and moves me, I am fixing to turn 19 and I can relate to some of these things, but we have to turn to God he always forgives and understands even when we think he may not.

I cried the first time that i watched this. I have struggled with eating disorders. I make my self throw up and i cut myself. It was at my friends church that i first watched it. This saved my life i was ready to give up and i think that God spoke to me and told me that everything was going to be ok. I still cut but i am trying to stop. Any ideas on how i can stop?

@hollisterxoxo22 The urge to cut yourself, on a spiritual God/Satan level is the devil 'getting in your ear', telling you to hurt yourself, 'cos while your life is consumed by doing all that it's harder to get on with God's plan for your life and easier for the devil to get in your ear. My suggestion is to pray to God and ask Him to help you resist the urge to cut yourself etc and every time you feel like it tell the devil to GET LOST AND LEAVE YOU ALONE IN JESUS' NAME. You can take a black shirt that is a little to big and cut it down the seems and add the snap buttons then stitch the seems again. That way when it needs to come off it just snaps off and on. Good luck :)

Hey guys i got a question im going to be doing this skit next week for a retreat and my part is the suicide and i came up witht he idea of i show the girl the gun and she pushes my hand away so i throw her to the ground and i show it to her again and she smacks it out of my hands so i act angry and drag her over to it then grab the gun put it in her hands and place it to her temple. what do u guys think???? plz reply to me cause im kinda excited and idk if id be a good addition to it.

I will start this off by I do believe in God and sorry I am venting but I am so hurt right now. Honestly I think why is life worth living, why does God choose to keep me alive. After all I have done nothing for him, I am a " Angry bitter woman" 18 years old. I thought I had the world, thought I was happy. But I was never happy. And time and time again I do the same thing. God I love you, God I hate you, God I am sorry! when will this stop? I have had enough and one day I won't wake up.
