Awesome video!!! I plan on getting the EVO X MR too!! But doubt I'll see any track!!! I wanna do some upgrades too but mostly for street and the dirt roads!!! Any suggestions??? I'm kinda not sure what performance parts to get cause I've plenty of videos of people going all race parts but haven't really seen one for the street/daily driver performance parts!!! But also none I've seen for the direction I'm going!!!! But again awesome video!!!! Good job on the time too!!
@ApexIXMR Well I wanted to try something different, and the amount of driveline upgrades available now plus the advances with the ECU made it feel like the timing was right. While I will always enjoy a good manual transmission, this SST Evo X is definitely easier to drive and I could probably assign 1-2 seconds gained in lap times from not worrying about shfits at all. it really is quite amazing on a road course and once power is brought up to the standards of the old car it will be deadly. :)
Faster lap times in the SST, that I won't argue. But even with the upgrades to it, i'd still feel a bit skeptical about it's long-term durability compared to the 5speed. And the cost to replace one of them...ouch. I've read waaay to many horror stories about them on the forums. But hey, i'm sure you did your research beforehand and know what your doing.
@ApexIXMR There are definitely risks, but I will take as many precations as possible. If it was a car built for drag racing I wouldn't even think about it, although I will at least run for some high 10 @ 130 mph time slips at some point for fun. I have enough contacts now these days that I can get a rebuilt SST for a decent price. The clutch packs and software that controls the engagement are what make it tricky, luckily advancements have been made and I can tune an MR no problem to make it work

Awesome video. Sucks what happened to your old X though. What made you go with the MR instead this time?
