  • 3:55 Enterprise-D was the last vessel that represented true Star Trek. The rest is noobist bullshit.

  • FUE LA ULTIMA DE UNA TEMPORADA CUANDO LO CONVIERTEN EN LOCUTUS Y EN LA SIGUIENTE POR SUPU LO RECUPERAN

  • creo que es la peli FIRST CONTACT

  • How fast is Warp 9.6?

  • I like how Whorf's ribbon suddenly changes!

  • When it's cut together, the nebula thing looks funny.

    It's like, "Nebula time."

"Oh no you don't" - launched charges -

"Crap gotta go." - zooms out of nebula -

  • Sweet memories of the days when the Borg were epic, and not a joke.

Though, I still like green, You can't take that from me! :oD

  • Ahhh TNG, when the borg were still an overwhelming threat.

  • @Alamandorious Agreed. Once Species 8472 was introduced, and summarily defeated, the all-powerful anything just became a joke.

  • it's a mandelbox.

  • resistance is futile...........you will be assimilated

  • Fire at will - just one phaser short burst? Worf you faggot.

  • 4:30 - a Nazi Borg!!!

The worst kind of borg drone...

  • goddamn q feds would be kicking borg ass if it weren't for him

  • The Borg's shots keep making the uniforms and seasons of the Enterprise change!

  • Your resistance is hopeless... Number 1. O_O Brrrrrrrr. Chills.

  • 8:11 Hideous!

  • At 5:05: "They are heading for sector 001" Ähm??? "The Terran System" Ooookay? "Earth" Aaaah the planet we life on, why could no yout tell this at the first time? :-D

  • @Wuestenwiesel I think the dialogue in the Best of Both Worlds was designed by the writers as a way of showing that "yeah this is a show where all the aliens breathe oxygen and speak English so here's something different for ya" in other words aliens call Earth the Terran System

  • @Wuestenwiesel Terra and Earth are the same word. Everything is Latin/Classical when dealing with the Universe at large so while Earth is the common name, Terra is official and what you'll here scientists say when referring to Earth in a formal way. Thus on a galactic map Earth would be labeled as Terra as you saw here. But they did mess up on 1 part, it's the Sol System, not the Terra System.

  • @dmkavidelly I like the name Terren System better then sol system lol and if it was sol system wouldent Earth or Terra be refered to as sol 3 as in all other systems are refered to in the Star Trek Univers?

  • Fantasic classic effects. What a great episode this was.

  • I miss the cutting beam. The should have kept it in the films.

  • should have just blasted the thing to hell and INVESTIGATED afterwords

  • hey.... thats the same nebula from wrath of khan D:

  • at 8:45, Admirals like"I've got an IPhone in the 24th century, fucking hell the government still gives us old shit to work with!!!"

  • dude, when the Borg cubes chasing yer ass, you need to think real hard about yer next move mate

  • Some of the editing decisions here were moronic. How could you take out "Mr. Worf, fire"?

  • hhh

  • "fire at will"

    poor riker

  • ugh. reconfigure the torpedoes insread. JEEZ

  • Great set of videos! Thanks!

  • Isn't Riker supposed to say, "Fire" before it ends?

  • old school borg don't have shit on later ones.

  • hive minds are fucking huge

  • isn't there a clip before this, when Q sends them deep into space and they meet the borg?

  • yes

  • I think Star Trek is great but the graphics aren't impressive, even the old Star Trek movies had better graphics, was this on a low budget?

  • of course. this was a tv show in the 80's

  • wears the clip of Q and the borg

  • @BorgHub 90's. ;) and the quality of the acting more than makes up for the lack of special effects.

  • Do not forget the difference between the older star treks and newer star treks is that they used models, not cgi.

  • You're comparing a motion picture budget to a weekly TV show budget..you can't do that.

  • @TheVeronicasLIVE Dude, this was made in the 80s, computer graphics and film technology were like Star Wars Episode IV. If you compare the technology back then to today's technology then obviously the technology back then is going to be inferior.

  • @JinRenegade I don't know if newer always means better, DVD's are supposed to be better than Videos but look at all the problems that's going on with those. The thing doesn't start when you pop it in and after it's over the menu sounds loop over and over, also if you scratch it once the DVD won't play. Apple I-pods are another example the thing won't even charge if it glitches

  • @jaymorpheus01 I was talking about film technology, but I see your point. Newer may not always mean better, just take a look at action/adventure/sci-fi films these days, they freaking overuse computer graphics like no tomorrow and we can all see that it is CG. Films like Star Wars (IV, V, VI), Space Odyssey: 2001, Empire of the Sun used real models instead of digital ones and they looked a lot more realistic.

  • @TheVeronicasLIVE Movies get better budgets then the series.

  • @TheVeronicasLIVE its not all about graphics...

  • @TheVeronicasLIVE The graphics work somehow for me. The movie seemed a little out of place but I always liked the show better.

  • @TheVeronicasLIVE

and considering they were using models, not cg, for the ships and such...

  • We have engaged the borg

    Uber epicness X3

  • is this a movie or just a series of episodes? can anyone help me out

  • it's a few episodes

  • thanks

  • @BorgHub Watch as they switch from the cool uniforms in the later shows to the gay sailor outfits of the early shows.

  • @dpsavings philistine

    .

  • "We are Microsoft. Lower your mice and surrender your keyboards. We will add your hard drives and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your Operating system will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."--Jerry 2009 October 3rd .

  • my ass...

  • weak

  • wellyou dont have to like it if you dont have to.

  • "He who quoteth hisself hath enough douchebaggery for all" - Rudy, October 18 2009

  • actually its not me. i just put my name on ther because the other person didnt want their name on it, but man you seen really grumpy.

  • "You are a stupid, stupid man" - Sgt. Stadanko. Up in Smoke 1978

  • interesting.....

  • Well they showed (In these videos) the footage of Q Who (the episode when Q first sent them into the Delta Quadrant) but they didn't show any of the scenes involving Q just of The Borg and their pursuit.

  • Talk about chilling at the very end

  • They forgot about Q when he sent them into deep space to meet the Borg.

  • RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!!!!!!!

  • "Assimilate this" ;)

    Worf wisdom... ;)

  • Being a big Star Trek fan of the Next Generation, this has to be my favourite episode and story of them all.

The Borg is one!Everything is irrelevant to them!

    Resistance is futile!!

  • The borg should be the main ones in star trek instead of humans

  • Hey,hey.....that sounds a good idea mate!!

    Resistance is futile!!

  • Are you a borg?

  • Oh yes! I have been assimilated. The Borg is one!

    Resistance is futile!!

  • *I*?

  • being on a borg cube un assimilated must feel like being on a tech version of hell

  • Only thing i dont get is how Riker can grow facial that quickly. lol

  • Must be regenerative hair from the future :P

    XD

  • "Your resistance is hopeless...Number 1" that was personal.

  • hey u forgot the part where Q sends them to meet the borg .

  • true

  • this video is amazing. anyone who says this is horrible is irrevelent

  • It's spelled Klingon.

  • LMFAO.

    K not C :)

  • I know, i know... :)

  • pretty much this is out of order

  • I think that was the general idea. Interesting edit nonetheless.

  • Well I am just glad I am not the only one who noticed

  • when locutus said "number one" i got the chills.. i remember that episode wayyy back when.. and i also remeber being a little uneasy.. good shit.. very good stuff...

  • Word. I remember being one of many pissed off ppl that the season ended with this nerve twisting epi. TNG is FTW.

  • Nice editing!

  • ok, i am my no means a pro here, but someone please tell me the order the series is in, Star Trek, wheres Voyager, TNG, and so on

  • Enterprise->TOS->TNG->Voyager and Deep Space 9 are nearly at the same time

  • timeline wise, newest show Enterprise(2100's), Kirk Star Trek (2200's, Picard Star Trek (2300's), Voyager (little after Picard), Deep Space Nine(literally a few months after Voyager disapears in Delta quadrant)

  • Ah, actually, DS9 begins about a year and some months before Voyager- (TNG & DS9 actually overlapped for about a season until TNG ended, and then DS9 had only a few months on the air by itself before VOY started and then aired alongside it for the remainder of it's 7-year run). The pilot episode of Voyager actually shows the ship departing from DS9 to chase after Marquis in the Badlands.

  • gonna have to watch best of both worlds now

  • I have to disagree with killerstyle the Borg did look better on Star Trek Voyager even the episode of Star Trek Enterprise when they had the Borg on looked way Better than in TNG let us not forget the special effects in the late 80's are not like they are now

  • I dont think he was refering to the special effects. He meant the borg were deadly in TNG but voyager turned them into a complete joke. Effects wise voyager looked better but from a scary enemy point of view voyager turned them into clowns, compleatly unable to defeat anything.

  • The borg from TNG were completely new and unstudied. no-one knew what to make of them. However, in Voyager, they were operating with an edge of knowledge.

  • @tigsterofhades The intrepid class in a game was stated that it was a class that was able to engage the Borg without problems, one thing is I thought Voyager was a science class scout ship.

  • @JOmonkeyJO No, it was closer to being a Fast Cruiser. ANd it was designed along with the other FC ships like the Akira, Defiant, Sovereign, etc so it should have weapons capable of doing SOME damage to the Borg.

  • The Borg from TNG were way better than the borg from Voyager

  • they were stronger but the cubes didnt look as cool in voy they glowed green much more

  • 8:09.. used to give me chills as a kid..

  • 9:40 is where the real chills are

  • Only problem, you skipped Q's warning and the Enterprise D's first encounter with the borg. Kinda important to show the connection to Neutral Zone

  • I prefer the "old" borg from TNG. They were more scary and mysterious than the borg from Voyager.

  • I didnt know borg can regenerate their ships

  • the federation was completely unprepared. One Borg cube took out their enitre armada. it's a good thing the borg didn't send two cubes. Earth would have been doomed. But it's also aways a great battle tactic when you can abduct a high ranking officer and then make him one of your own. But even without Picard...

  • It's only because of Picard's tactical knowledge of the ships. Besides, there were Miranda class ships at that battle... talk about scraping the bottom of the bottle.

  • 0:35-1:01. It should be the Borg's official theme. To me, it kinda represents the large amount of them in every Unicomplex that exists.

  • Irrelevent,,irrelevent...irrelevent..its getting into my head

  • Don't fire at Will, he didn't do anything wrong!

  • Picard shouldnt have to say engage everytime, wesley should know when its time to run like hell LOL

  • For the son of a highly skilled doctor, he's not too bright

  • Highly skilled in WHAT though is the question...

  • "Your archaic cultures are authority driven" That turned out to be the Queen of all retcons, didn't it? I tell you, they jus truined the idea of the Borg.

  • i agree with animeownage86....it was a NICE blend, but it should have been done in order. but still, NICE work.

  • I have a mixed reaction to this part, I like how you blended Q Who with Best of Both Worlds it fit nicely on the other hand I would have liked more seperation between the two episodes to make more of a history kind of feel to the video. but nicely done all the same.

  • "I am Locutus of Borg. Resistence is futile. Your life as it has been is over. From this time forword, you service....us."

  • the part that drills into his eyes makes me sick

  • I love it! 100%

  • Humans are probably the most flawed species in the Alpha Quadrant. Why do the Borg want to assimilate us?

(Except for the drama of an unbeatable enemy)

  • Well, the human in Star Trek may have a few technology the Borg want. Beside, they want to "perfect" those they assimilate. They dont care about who they assimilate.

  • Something called Canonfodder.

  • Strange that you blended the Q-Who/Best of Both Worlds together. Still enjoyable though.

  • Excellent vid man. one of the best i've seen on utube. did you great work. i wish i had seen episode 4. the borg are my favorite.

  • Shelby is so hot..man..

  • The Lalo should be the Rodger Young from Starship Troopers.

  • Excellent compilation.

  • Shouldn't Q Who be in the first video?

  • actually as you can see I've combined all of "Q-who"'s good parts into "the best of both worlds"

  • incredible.

  • ye s

  • old borg looks so un natural...prefer the borgs from VOY and ENT what happened to the borg queen

  • I prefer the TNG Borgs because they were a real threat, a nightmare. The Borg in Voy are merely stupid canon fodder, laughing stocks on the run.

But of course, TNG is a show of the 80's and early 90's, it can't compete with the effects of our decade.

  • Yeah I agree, TNG made the Borg uber-scary, they came within a breath of assimilating Earth but they were not overused. VOY overused them in my opinion to where they became the "common" enemy that were easy to defeat.

  • I agree fully. In TNG the borg ships had no discrete systems, no weak point you could target to easily disable them and could continue to function efficiently if 78% destroyed. On voyager, they had discrete systems such as warp drive that were so vulnerable that a shuttle could disable them.

Also the music was far better in TNG than voyager. Listen to it in the clip when they first see the cube magnified on screen and you'll see what I mean...

  • Do you understand what the word discrete means?

  • apheus27:

yes I do know what discrete means, though apparently you don't. Discrete means separate and distinct. To put my comment into context the TNG borg had no distinct warpdrive system that you could aim at to rob the ship of warp power. It was dispersed throughout the entire ship so it was always capable of motion. Similarly they had no main reactor that you could aim at to rob the ship of power etc... So it had no discrete systems.

  • how did you edit the voices soo..well

  • good vid, but they didn´t cut off picards left arm...

  • early borgs were so rubbish
