It's just another interviewer putting questions towards a band that doesn't know. Vampire Weekend don't know all the facets of African music/Afrobeat. They don't know (are they supposed to?), they said they don't know, yet the interviewer persists, therefore leaving the band members in a crux with having to blag a bunch of sentences that pretentious bullshit critics will latch on to. If only to call them pretentious bullshitting muso's no doubt....
