  • thanks for these videos, very helpful.

  • this concept has really been influencing my spinning as of late thanks for the videos

what i like doing is spinning in same direction and doing wall plane flowers and switching mode the way i've been changing mode is going into buzzsaw in either the 4th or the 6th square and then just separating my arms say both hands are in square 4 one hand will move to square 1 and the other will move to square 7 and you've change mode and then to change back i just do the opposite

    lots of fun thanx

  • i like this idea! good shit man!

  • Excellent theory. I've watched all 10 vids now. It took the frame-work (9 squares) I've used in my own head for a while now, and built on it fantastically. Your thinking on modes, poly-rythm transitions and footwork were especially enlightening.

How might/have you incorporated quarter time (both opposite and same direction) into this?

  • Specifically in regards to what I think of as quarter time arm movements. So both arms moving in the same direction while at 90 degree angles to one another as well as arms moving in opposite directions and meeting in the corners.

Again, awesome stuff and re-inspiring for the recently un-inspired.

  • Hey... Sorry it took me so long to get back to you: Yeah, I've been playing with quarter-time arm movements and it is pretty interesting stuff. Especially when you get into how the phase-relationship (timing) between the poi changes (or rather remains relatively the same) I think I'll post a video in order to respond to your question.
