  • do you actually have to do this or is it just the advert??

  • @Tommy123D Yeah this is a part of the training course and apparently some guy died on this part, i dont know if its true or not but if it is...im not looking forward to that part.

  • @Tommy123D This is all part of the Endurance Course, yes you have to do it but ignore @GAMINGgrungey nobody has died in that tunnel. It's the only fully-submerged tunnel, called the Sheep Dip, and it's about 6ft long. By the time the bloke pushing you in has let go of your feet, the guy at the other end already has hold of your head and is helping pull you out.

Just YouTube "Royal Marines Endurance Course" - and try it. You won't know if you can or can't do it, unless you try!

  • Wow, I think this the first commercial in history that doesn't actually LIE to you...

  • Im American and im glad the US and UK are great allies!!! Thank you for serving your country both USMC and RMC!

  • taliban dont stand a chance!

  • @KingsofSparta The Afghans succeeded against the British Empire, and the Soviet Union, what makes you think that the US and the UK will succeed? Afghanistan is known as the "graveyard of empires".

  • @1JesseW hahahha the taliban are scum thats why.

  • @1JesseW The kill/death ratio in Afghanistan is 50:1 to NATO. They are succeeding.

  • @killerclown789 The death ratio means nothing. With every Taliban death more will pick up rifles against NATO, with every NATO death more people at home will be against the war. Afghanistan is not known as " The Graveyard of Empires" for nothing.

  • @1JesseW When the Taliban were in charge, there were no hospitals, schools etc. Now in many major parts of Afghanistan, children are being educated(for the first time) and there are small hospitals. The Afghan army is also constantly getting larger. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are now located in small villages and in the mountains.

NATO are winning my friend, slowly but surely.

  • Comment removed

  • @killerclown789 Have you not heard about the lack of resistance from the Taliban? They are lower in numbers and are hiding in the mountains.

Building tertiary buildings and roads means that NATO have control of parts of Afghanistan and that the Taliban are losing ground. The people are also turning against the Taliban. They already have actually.

  • @killerclown789 Yeah but havent the taliban been forcing the civilians into joining them? and havent some civilians gotten pissed off about their loved ones getting cought in the crossfire or having their houses get destroyed? I know they are trying out new tactics to stop this from happening but im sure it still happens every now and then...

  • @1JesseW Ok, NATO are losing, even though they have set up schools, hospitals and built roads and kicked the Taliban and Al-Qaeda out of the main areas. Bin Laden was also killed.

  • @killerclown789 Building schools, roads and buildings is no sign that NATO has obtained final victory. The Taliban is playing the game of attrition. Bin Laden is dead, but there are many more willing to support his cause.

  • @KingsofSparta Its why they to use IED's because they know that if they were to face the RMC without them this war would of been over long ago, what a bunch of sneeky fuckers, and I hope to join the RMC and kill some of fucking taliban bastards one day...

  • I have heard it takes 10 years to make Corporal in the Royal Marines. Is this true?

  • @McDago100 Yes. Im in the army, signals to be precise, and there's a saying we have: "If you make Sgt in 12 years, you've done bloody well!". It's harder to gain rank in the Infantry and RMC so yes about 10 years would seem correct.

  • @SigJohno I would guess then that the quality of leadership is outstanding. I am American, and I am glad to have British along side us. I only wish we could structure our military like yours.

  • @McDago100 Yeah It has to be, Corporals need the experience to lead young people like myself to battle. Sgt's role in the battle is ammunition resupply, CasEvacs, and overviewing the contact. So the higher the rank, the less they pull away from the battle, so a Cpl NEEDS to have loads of experience. I'm not to sure how the US forces structure itself so what makes us different?

  • @McDago100 In the US military a person can reach Corporal in about 2 years depending. The Army uses the Specialist rating more than Corporal. I have heard in the British military a person going in is more likely to make a career of it than an American. Many Americans look to do their 4 years then get out to the civilian world. I don't know much about the British Regimental system, but we don't have that tradition here in America.

  • 99% Need Not Apply

    98% Wish We Hadn't

    Haha hangout

  • god bless the UK/US alliance. when the world ends. mother england and her son AMERICA will prevail. lets stop the bullshit rivalry (im guilty). Devil dogs and brits. I love you u both. 2nd Mp Bn 2nd fssg. 2 Combat tours in iraq. not trolling for for thumbs up so dont like this. If u served then we know our pain. the world hates us or disagrees with us but who cares. we've been runnin this shit for a while and so far so good. RED, WHITE AND BLUE. US/UK, Aussies, Canadians, South Africa, and NZ!!

  • tough little bastard

  • ive just had a look at a load of british military ads and somehow you seem to get these little yanks in everyone

  • badasses. PERIOD!

  • YEAH BRITISH MARINES! because look at how successful they were in Libya :D...... oh wait... yeah

  • @LEGOSteampunk They didn't go in... idiot.

  • damn you fist meat cant dive ova their i may not survive very hard training

  • I would join, but I have Tinnitus and would probably go deaf after service...

  • Why are you all arguing you little girls. PRMC 28th Feb 2012. Whos on it?!

  • @kinnane4 Let's do that shit man

  • @Altairego You on it aswell?

  • Compare to /watch?v=lDZ2fMHTvwk

    Methinking standards are slightly different.

  • @DeMause Is that a serious advert mate? wow. No offence to Yanks but it looked like an advertisement for a computer game lol. It's a different culture I guess.

  • @TheARMAProductions

Yes, to the best of my knowledge that is a serious advert.

  • @DeMause omfg are you serious dude hahahaha!

  • @balamorylol He's correct. An American confirmed it from the years 2002-2004 haha

  • The sheep dip not even half as long as that :)

  • i dont remember the sheep dip being that long lol

  • done that endurance course! Best thing in the world.......To all you heroes out there, keep up the good work, you are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dawgsboy After checking out his page he looks like a Nazi from Croatia (that kind of area). He dislikes Serbs too which is a give away. I've come across him before as he's always trolling the RM vids and I suspect he may even be the infamous troll named MrJackT (that guy spent literally every free moment of his life trolling UK vids). This is his other troll account:

    w w w . youtube . com/user/HandzarMitraljezac

He's definitely not an Anglo American mate.

  • @TheARMAProductions

once again im not mr jack and neither was usmc rifleman

  • @Sturmmann I can't take you seriously because you hide behind different nationalities/accounts and make silly vids. Silly because you are just taking things out of context which is childish. Your entire complex is one of being inferior to the Brits so you spend your time trolling the vids and making vids in order to make you feel better. The Brits are always having to hold the line so that the Americans and our allies can escape:

    watch?v=VBAvVBVGkSE

  • @TheARMAProductions

I'll do what I want and they'll stay up, so I have to argue less and less.

  • @Sturmmann I'm not asking you to take them down...I am just curious as to what's caused this obsession with us Brits? It comes across as resentment.

  • @TheARMAProductions

    pride without support or evidence

  • @Sturmmann So you are saying the UK has nothing to be proud about?

  • As far as world titles, more US Marines and soldiers have taken the world crown for marksmanship.

We've had the tradition and during the cold war, the soviets (because of their wide selection of shooters) caught up on the gold medals.

  • Comment removed

  • Since 1890, Marines have defined accuracy in America, we took the throne from the army a long time ago after they and rest of the world's armies shitcanned the idea of long range precision marksmanship for the basic soldier.

So in the end even a female cook Marine shoots farther and with more accuracy than any royal or korean marine, and she also runs a non stop 3 miles, whereas the royal marine does 1.5 miles and takes a short rest before the other half.

  • @Sturmmann LOL!

You want to talk about fitness..lets see the USMC troop to even attempt this..

"The most famous yomp of recent times was during the 1982 Falklands War. After disembarking from ships at San Carlos on East Falkland, on 21 May 1982, Royal Marines and members of the Parachute Regiment yomped (and tabbed) with their equipment across the islands, covering 56 miles (90 km)[2] in three days carrying 80 pounds (36 kg)[3] loads."

    Not a run..much, much harder.

  • @bebill2 There would be some who could, but on the there is no question the Royal Marines standards are more demanding. The Royal Marines are like Marine Recon, but without the rest of the Corps. The Royal Marines are the only branch of a countries service to have the title Commando that I know of. American Rangers and Special force trace their roots to the Royal Marines. They trained Rangers in WW2, and upon graduation Rangers received a green beret, as is worn by Special Forces today.

  • @dawgsboy

US navy seals are SF grade troops, they arent light infantry that is constantly on the front lines fighting in plain uniforms like the RMCs.

Even Marine Recon is trained to jump out of planes and conduct amphib recon, the RMs dont do any of that. Thats why theyre elite infantry, nothing more. On top of everything else they arent even given the top marksmanship training. That would once again be the US Marines.

  • @Sturmmann "On top of everything else they arent even given the top marksmanship training. That would once again be the US Marines."

Another delusion that you have. It's a Brit soldier (Craig Harrison) who holds the worlds longest sniper kill. Shooting at targets is one thing, doing it for real is quite another. Welcome to reality:

    w w w . timesonline . co . uk/tol/news/world/afghanistan/article7113916.ece

  • @TheARMAProductions

the word "they" is most often referred to when speaking in plural about a certain group, not in the case of one individual.

Some months ago, they were saying Canadians were the best shots, and before that it was an American for about 40yrs with the world record....From the battle of Saratoga to Cowpens and New Orleans, more redcoats have died at the hands of American marksman than I can total up. Its a testament to their equipment and training not one fucking guy

  • @Sturmmann Facts are facts...UK now has the worlds longest sniper kill. We do it for real where as you are just 'claiming' the USMC to have the 'top marksmanship training'. Well they are correct. Months ago the sniper kill belonged to a Canadian called Rob Furlong until Harrison broke it. Rob Furlong held it since the early 2000's. You seem to think that the mere act of saying the USMC has the top marksmanship training automatically makes this true? Every country sais the same thing lol.

  • @TheARMAProductions

No they dont. Marines have always had a 500-600yard annual qualification course. We shoot offhand at the 200yd line at a 12in target, while the rest of the world gets in the prone for that type of shot and stops at the 300yd line. We've always shot 40% farther and with more accuracy.

Fact = the US Marines HAS to shoot farther and more accuractely to call himself a Marine. A royal Marine does not have to pride himself on marksmanship. He has an army standard of shooting

  • @TheARMAProductions

furthermore the reason the USMC has to be the size it is today is because we have the whole globe to cover. There is a Marine in every corner of the globe at the moment, One may be watching the sun rise and another watching it go down.

We're in every clime and place literally 24/7. 2 MEUs are constantly sailing across the world for an emergency to come up. While the RMCs are sleeping in England without a fucking clue

  • Comment removed

  • I'm English through and through. And I couldn't care less wether they are British or U.S Marines. They are all fighting for us. They deserve the respect from everyone. They may be very similar, but one is better in one respect than the other. Stop with all the bull about one being better. Because they are all equal in different ways. Either way...To them all...Massive respect. And hope you all come home safe. You're in my prayers.

  • @rens2007 Per mare per teram and Semper fi!

  • @rens2007 Amen, our USMCand your RMC are both intense fighting machines who do great work in defending us and the world. Well said rens2007

  • Why has the US vs UK marines argument lasted al these years. I can click on any video of the RM and just guarentee without even looking at the comments that this is the convosation everyone is having. If your not in the Marines, what 99.99% of you are NOT, Then shut up & watch the fucking video.

  • @dawgsboy An American who actually understands the differences between the USMC and RMC I see. Yeh, the USMC is like an Army within itself where as the RMC is a small tier 2 type unit. USMC is like a hammer where as the RMC are like a precision tool. What confuses civvies is the word 'Marine' I believe mate. They assume they are the same type of outfit. RMC = US SEALS. SBS = DEVGRU (ST6).

The US structure is allot deeper than the UK's with normal USMC being like a sea based army/shock troop

  • @TheARMAProductions

    good fucking god....

do you realize that the USMC has 3 tiers in itself dumbfuck? or are you blatantly trying to ignore the USM Special Forces capable Marines?

The Royal Marines arent tier jack and shit, they fall into light recon infantry. They dont jump out of planes, meaning they cant be inserted anywhere tactically. USMC is made up of stormtroop infantry, recon, armor, air and SF. Its not a fucking army.

  • @Sturmmann Why did you reply to me? It was your fellow American who first said 'However, I would compare the RMC with the US Navy Seals' to which I replied. His comment is at the top of this thread. I was referring to the average USMC you dufuss. No need to butthurt over it. Do you spend all of your time trolling Royal Marine vids crying?

  • @TheARMAProductions

No I get personal joy out of breaking your little bubbles of superiority.

Royal Marines are just an easy argument and the MoD's neglected little 19th century underdogs that dont get shit due to the budget cuts. From Zeebrugge 18 to Tobruk '42, the Royal Navy could give a fuck less for their well being, safety or success.

  • @Sturmmann And as for going on about budget cuts (Yanks always do this when debating on these types of threads)....this is why the UK still has a triple A credit rating where as the US has been humiliated by having it downgraded. Dude, the USA is going broke because your socialist government refuses to cut. He's too busy giving health care to the Mexicans.

Trust....hard cuts are coming to the USA and you know it :)

  • @Sturmmann You Americans need to wake up. You are no longer the super power that you once were. China could collapse you by just dumping the $:

    watch?v=gzJEq0oKwhc&feature=related

You have allowed your manufacturing industry to go to China. The US used to have over 15 companies making Tv's for example. Today they have 0. It is because of American ignorance that you are loosing your power. Even an idiot will tell you that the economy is more important than having all these carriers

  • @TheARMAProductions

this isnt about my country, this is about Marine infantry, we could care less.

We're a different breed, if you want patriots, go look within the us army.

  • @Sturmmann "this isnt about my country, this is about Marine infantry, we could care less."

Well it was you who brought the budget cuts into this debate which is economical in context. When you bring that into a debate you should expect it to be explained. You don't want to talk about this anymore because you can see I know what I am talking about :)

This is Yanks for you. Pretending everything is ok with their heads in the clouds lol

  • @Sturmmann And since when does the budget cuts even have anything to do with the Royal Marines? The RMC is not having cuts. You were the one to bring an economical element into this debate.

  • @Sturmmann I'm starting to susepct you are not Amerian at all. You hide behind the USA and come from one of these fail countries and have a complex over the Brits. You choose to pretend to be American so as to stir up arguments between Brits and Yanks whilst venting your inferior complex. It wouldn't surprsie me if you were MrJackT haha

  • You are Croatian aren't you :) Your page is full of Nazi's from countries like Germany, Bosnia, Austria etc and I remember you having a rant on your page regarding the Serbs. This explains your fascination with WW2 as well. You are one sad guy...

  • @Sturmmann sorry pal but r.m.c can and do get there wings not trying to shit on you just state a fact.

  • that was the best advert ever!!

  • 1st guy was CUTE! Looks like John F. Kennedy. Another was cute, too, the third one after the second. BAD ass commercial.

  • that is weird, my initials are RMC

  • @Tensakickass Roger My Cunt?

  • what a badass advert...only the royal marines could entice someone to join up by telling them there probably not good enough.

  • @stripedwally

balls? it took balls to pay off the insurgents for a safe passage out of Basrah?

it took balls to retreat from both France, Balkans and Meditarranean in 1940? It took balls to surrender en masse, a whole 120,000 men to the japanese?

  • mad respect

  • I fall into that 0.01%

  • Then you're a very lucky man.

  • Damn that looks awesome. But that guy has some pretty crappy lungs if he was running out of air in just like 15 seconds.

  • @RichardGrantV after the kinda shit he would have done before the swim im sure he would be knackered, he looks it, along with a certain panic you would get if stuck underwater... he did bloody well i think. dont knock him unless you can do better...

  • Some serious Bitch stuff here. Let`s just say everyone speaks English. Cos it`s right.

  • marines are badass..... Royal marines are megabadass

  • Maybe i'll join the US Marine Corps next Summer, and im very proud to have the UK Royal Marines as Allies. Oorah!

  • Marines are badass mother fuckers hahaha

  • i hate the way outsiders compare the americans and the british, we are all friends why cant we just get along all wars sould be settled with chess or snakes and ladders?

  • @leonwiganer

yea Im sure the 3/5 Batt of USMC has lost the entire 45 men in one place lmao

the pride of the british army/marine force is fighting in Helmand, outnumbering the US effort by a 100-200 men, and yet having lost a company's worth of men more than the US forces.

I know troop deployments and the 2nd Batt/9th Marines was deployed to stem the taliban tide against the british withdrawals back in 07

The USMC was the main effort since 07 in your own province, where you outnumber them

  • Instead of learning something about your pride problem from us during the Revolution you pompous morons are still making mistakes on the modern battlefields.

UK's casualties in Helmand arent suprising, hence why we dont trust you with the bigger offensives, you want to loose for the 4th time in that country. We dont

  • @Sturmmann Our casualties wouldn't be so high if your air force actually looked at what they were aiming at.

  • @MrCommunismftw

your comm is poor, same happens with the us army and its own units. The service branch is so big that there comes along a mech. or air unit that is called in for support and has literally no comm with the ground unit.

it never happens with the USM because theyre self sufficient, they have their own air and combined arms

  • @Sturmmann Well the Royal Marines are commandos, USMC is seaborne infantry. The RM would not have a large amount of air support, they rely on the navy and RAF.

  • @MrCommunismftw

yes theyre light infantry without combined arms, which reflects UK's poor budget, hence why they were disbanded time and time again in their past. Theyve had small roles and literally didnt spearhead what wouldve been their signature battle at Gallipoli.

USMC has everything from light recon inf, to grenadier guards quality troops (Fallujah, Marjah, Baghdad, Ramadi) SF, air and armor. We're expeditionary and faster deploying than any force on the planet

  • @Sturmmann I've just read your profile and your obviously a complete cunt. If you get kicks from insulting British servicemen and women who lay down their lives for their country good for you. I refuse to continue to communicate with someone who's head is so far up his own arse.

  • @MrCommunismftw

it takes a person like me for a whole nation of self centered pompous morons to realize their pride problem.

theres only one thing i cant take in this world and thats blind pride that UK has with a long history of defeat.

From the Somme to Arnhem and Helmand, youve got the 1st place in highest casualties.

    wake the fuck up

  • @Sturmmann Haha. Do you think anyone in Britain cares we have lost our fair share of wars? We know we are not perfect. If Britain had won more of it's wars things would of turned out different, probably better for us. But people in the UK are contended and you seem to think that our entire country thinks we are the best military in the world. We know America would beat us in a war, only retards would deny that. I am proud of my country has done and would not ask for anything more.

  • @Sturmmann But I am only proud, not self centred or pompous. I am thankful to Russia, America, Canada, Australia, Poland and all of the other countries who were allies in the second world war. Britain would of been over run had it not been for them. All I want is for Britain to be recognised, as I would any other country, for the sacrifices made and losses taken. I love my country for what it is, not what I wish it was.

  • @Sturmmann mate, your just a cunt.

Im not gonna waste my time proving that your cunt as its plain for all to see.

Just thought id let you know, your a cunt. And an idiot, but mainly a cunt.

  • @Airz18 Cheers for the help mate, think he's got the picture now.

  • @Airz18

you werent a part of the conversation yet you interjected to insult someone who wasnt even talking to you. Solely because your pride was hurt.

youre the reason people have a hard time complimenting brits. Id be the first to say something nice if only you people would stop being so fucking ignorant of the facts stated against you. Italians and French both have embarassing defeats but they arent in denial of them.

and neither of them lost 60,000 grunts in one day...ever

  • @Sturmmann War criminals don't represent the British Armed Forces, just like the Taliban don't represent the Middle East. Abit of banter is fine, but blunt stereotyping is'nt.

    Peace

  • @parcourkid

Im not talking about war criminals, I never mentioned them. Your own people have considered the generalship the real butchers of the Somme. They murdered your youth senselessly, but in the end you have civilians acting like narcissists about certain things that happened. That I cant respect and I cant be sympathetic for the pain of a bunch of narcissists.

  • @Sturmmann wow dude really? you know they are still losing guys in helmand right? douche bag, ppl like you make the rest of the world hate our country!

  • @ajmidget94

people like me? im simply trying to expose the wrongs of the british people in their pride.

your pride is your biggest weakness, thats my reminder.

its supposed to come at a price but it is you that are ignoring it like you did after Breeds Hill

  • This month marks the 233rd anniversary of the US Marines raiding England's soil for the first time in 700yrs.

Where were her majesty's commandos? tripping as they went up Breed's Hill

  • @Sturmmann yeah but what happened after that? that little spec in the ocean i call home once took over 1/3 of the world with our clearly superior forces including the royal marines. and what do your marines do now? kill their own men in friendly fire? just shut the f*ck up you have no argument

  • @MaRk13795

once....once, you once controlled. So did the Romans, so did the vikings....so did Spain...once

not anymore, now you dont even have fucking aircraft carriers. You lost the Prince of Wales to a bunch of japs in one afternoon.

the US Marines dont have a history of friendly fire.

and unlike the RMCs, our command doesnt neglect us. The USMC took Marjah recently with minimal casualties, and let me remind you, the RMC casualties in Helmand are nearly 2x than those of the USM forces

  • @MaRk13795

your RMCs cant even hold Sangin from a bunch of 3rd world insurgents. Your casualty rate so far is 250 KIA in Helmand alone, no wonder they had to send the most senior USM battalion to Sangin.

  • Per mare, per terram <3 Royal Marines! (:

  • Comment removed

  • @ThatChurchill I'm not exactly a military expert, but marines are usually stationed on ships and are part of seaborne assualts etc. So having reasonable swimming skill will probably be needed.

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME BY WHAT THEY EXACTLY MEAN ON THE ADVERT WHEN IT SAYS 99.99% NEED NOT APPLY. THANK YOU

  • @MrSpeedDemon666 It means thats 99.9% of the population would not be able to compleate the training to become a Royal Marine Commando

  • @LordVypzRM Ok. Wow i want to be a fucking marine so bad :/

  • @LordVypzRM Do you want to be an marine?

  • you should really think twice about this if you are considering. Just think about the serious injuries you could sustain. this ain't the way forward. if you get sent to afghanistan you are more than likely to get hurt. I've heard at the moment that is what the whole game is about. This is a full on war and mass casualties happen every day sometimes even hundreds. it is often said the more who join in this war the worser the situation will become. the enemy will just keep on firing 4 ever

  • @210482fmj ...tell that to the marines

  • America.

  • @landwarrior01 I could be wrong here but the impression I get is that the younger generation of Ozzies hate us (and i mean bordering hate). When I were younger the UK and Ozz has a very close relationship. The Ozzies cheered us on in the Falklands, we had the same TV, shops etc but there seems to be a growing nationalism in Ozz which is very anti UK. The older generation (25+) seem to be ok with us though. I've even had hat told to me by a young Ozzie guy. You seem ok though.

  • @landwarrior01 When did I say we own you mate? You have been posting complete bollocks like how the Ozzie army 'was taught to be the best' and that 'you have a higher wash our rate' etc. The Ozz army is not better than the UK one lol. Only an Ozzie would say that. I would like to agree with you as I did like the Ozzies but the majority of you guys hate us brits now. It's only the older generation who are cool with us.

You guys have chosen the US over us so you can rely on them :)

  • Im a U.S. Marine, I have had the privilege to train with The Royal Marines thick skined tough men. also trained with The ROK Marines good times. Marines in general are a different breed of warrior, from what i have seen so far its a cultural thing.

  • nice! but that solider looked like a little boy :P

  • @IcyViking gotta get them wile they are young cant train and old man

  • @IcyViking That's because allot of recruits are mate lol. They are barely out of school when they join. The average age of the Royal Marine Commando that bounced the Argies in 1982 was 19...

  • @TheARMAProductions start at the same age in finland to but guess we in avarage are bigger..

  • @IcyViking I dunno tbh. I now the Argies are small on average. I've never been to Finland you see so I don't know there.

  • @IcyViking Size isn'y everything mind you. Gurkhas are very small altho are undefeated in combat. Google 'Gurkha beheads Taliban':

    watch?v=2ojK3e0CCVM

It comes down to who has the bigger heart...

  • funny.....u go on any countries military video page and they all are comparing themselves or saying how better they are then us americans. if u go on an american site u never see any american writing how were better then the brits or russians or any stupid shit like that (unless of course someone starts in with it). why does every country want to compare themselves to the usmc or SEALS. if it wasnt for us yanks starting wars, then ur armies would be bored, alive of course, but bored. ur welcome

  • @soflo23 Nah...we'd just have to go and beat up on the Argies some more lol.

I think it's around 50/50 regarding people comparing though. We do get an epic amount of Yanks on our vids banging on about WW2 and all kinds of crap. You get trolls from all nations I'm afraid. Just ignore them. RMC cannot be compared to USMC. RMC are an elite unit which are more akind to SEAL/RECON etc. The US has a much deeper structure and we do not have a USMC. That's like an army in itself

  • @TheARMAProductions very true. usmc has about 180,000 marines last time i checked. im sure the rmc is smaller. i understand the friendly rivalry between the US and UK but i hate the ignorant fucks that type shit and have never served a day in their life. call of duty is about as close as they'll get to combat. served with some brits out of al asad in iraq. good guys. cheers mate

  • @soflo23 180,000 is around the size of our entire army lol. Numbers is the key to this debate. The US has units like RM (recon for example) but the bulk of the US forces are lower tier (obviously because elite units are harder to get into by natuture). We do not have that lower tier. Our regular infantry have 14 weeks basic training and another 12 weeks at Catterick before they even get to battalion. In other words the US has both but people often compare RMC to USMC because of the name 'marine'

  • @TheARMAProductions your right. i think the army itself has 800,000 people. who knows about the navy and airforce. alot of people think though that a us marines training is only 13 weeks of boot camp . they forget that we go through SOI or MCT and then onto our school for our job before we get into a battalion. and it never really gets easier as the training goes on. it intense all the time. but lower tier? yes. i agree. women can join the marines, but cant join our infantry units or the like

  • I too was a Yank Marine stationed in the UK back in the late 80's, got to do some training at Lympstone with the lads of the Commandos. They are some bad ass dudes!! Very hard and professional.

  • Must you compare them with American forces? The training and the recruits are very similar, just because you have seen a cool British recruitment advert doesn't exactly declare their Marines 'The Best'. The British and Americans get along just fine out on the field, the only ones bickering and arguing are you people online who thinks your opinion should be heard and understood.

  • @007Influence very true. half these dumb asses never even served

  • @007Influence Well said dude. My grandad was a royal marine commando and he had nothing but respect for all branches of the military whether they were British or American. When i was a kid and went to visit him in the UK with my parents (I live in Australia) he used to say the United States Marines are magnificent soldiers etc. My grandad was in the army for a long time and loved what he did. He sadly died ten years ago but he was a top guy :)

  • @007Influence They shouldn't be compared to the USMC as the USMC is a very large outfit and an army in itself but if people are going to compare then they must compare them to the elite elements within the USMC such as Recon. The average US Marine has 12 weeks selection comapred to the RMC 32 week selection process. This isn't hate but just a fact. You can get the full selections here on YT. RMC have the longest selection in NATO

  • RMC serve a different purpose to the average US Marine. The average US Marine is basically Naval based infantry. USMC have their elite elements which are on par with RMC. To suggest that a 12 week selection process is similar to the 32 RMC selection is lolz. Well unless their supermen and do the same tests/training within 12 weeks which I'd bet my life is impossible :) I'm not hating here. I'll say it again. The USMC have their elite elements but the regular USMC selection is allot easier to RMC

  • @007Influence i do sometimes make a laugh and a joke about americans (just like some about the british) but i do fully agree with what you are saying on the matter

  • @007Influence United States Marines have 13 weeks of training, British Royal Marines have 42 weeks of training. Britain's training is one of the most advanced and tough in the world. By the way the results aren't similar so I have no idea where you got that crap from.

  • @RazorCell7 U.S. Marine gets 13 weeks training (4 months) but to be compared with all other NATO Marines, they have be selected for MEU (Marine Expeditionary Units), which can also be called as Special Operations Capable (S.O.C.). That's 6 more months of training and it would be 37-40 months of training overall. By the way, Royal Marines get 32 months instead of 42. I'm not spreading hate, I respect all foreign Marines and all the foreign military branches working together for the common good.

  • @Andybato No Royal Marines get 42 of training the British Army gets 32. I'm sure you had it mixed up. Plus because of the size difference the British government can spend more money on training then the US can on theirs. Also a question on MEU - Does everyone who goes overseas get MEU training and doesn't the British have something similar? I only commented because a lot of my buddies in the Marines never lied to me, they swallowed their bitterness when they say that Royal Marines are better.

  • @RazorCell7 According to the website armedforces.co.uk, a British Army soldier gets 24 weeks of training while on the website 'whodareswins' shows that the Royal Marines training is 32 weeks. But if the United Kingdom changed their training schedule, I could be wrong. About MEU, it's very complex to look into. What I'm trying to say is that all the foreign Marine groups trained like Special Forces, with MEU, it trains selected US Marines with Special Forces techniques and are quick responders.

  • @Andybato But not all Marines go through MEU? So if only a selected amount of them go through Special Forces training and the Royal Marines all get that training anyways then wouldn't that mean most Marines only get 13 weeks of training with the exception of the ones that go through MEU and the Royal Marines in general would still get the more amount of training in addition to the Special Forces training? Also do the ones that go through MEU considered Recon? If not then what is Recon Marines?

  • @007Influence well said

  • @imaplaystationfanboy There not 10p crips anymore there 15p ;_;.

  • The army - a group of apes being manipulated by power hungry apes into thinking there heros by killing humans that are evil and the enemy but really they are just like you.

I would love for iraq to become a super power and then do to the US and UK what they are doing to their country now.

  • @Haywood91 You're so edgy.

  • 2 para, pathfinder platoon beats all

  • @MultiDarkenergy september hopefully 2 para but dont think i get the choice

  • I'm an American (and a future U.S. Marine) and this is one of the most BAMF commercials, I have ever seen. You Brits might not have the biggest military, but i'll bet good money yours is the best trained.

  • Over half the people who join the marines dont make it through the intense training.

  • royal marines are the best in the word and are the longest trained force

  • this long submerged tunnel is not on the endurance course ...

  • A face like a boiled shite.

  • @bootneck22 please have some understanding for the poor fecker known as cranyyy. Because of his home life he has to be pitied. His mother has substituted Botox for jism hoping it makes her look younger instead of the old slag she really is. His father fiddles with kids and makes Gary Glitter look like an amateur paedo. And not forgetting cranyyy himself the poor bastard. It's not easy being a rent boy taking it up the shit box regular. His A hole looks like a blood orange and he has a face lik

  • BAD-ASS

  • Im a United States Marine, infantry, and we did some cross training with the Royals. Great men. Crude, tough, sophisticated. I'd love to go to war alongside some of my British brothers

  • @DocLacrosse No person with half a brain in their head would "love to go to war". War is fucking terrible, and no sane person should want to find themselves in one. Keep in mind, the people you are killing will probably be just like you, only they had the bad fortune to be raised in another country.

  • @DocLacrosse We need more people like you :)
