I am in awe of the fact that He never changes when EVERYTHING else changes around me. He will never change and that gives me hope to endure. Michael gungor actually came from the church I go to (Resurrection Life Grandville, MI) and if you have never worshipped with him and his band you are seriously missing something! I don't think he "came from" your church in Michigan, he's moved around so often it's hard to say where exactly he started. He may have done worship at your church for a while, like when he was attending WMU, but he was worship leader at my church in Tulsa, OK for a while, and his father is still a pastor there.

Well God showed Job the creature called Leviathan and asked Job if he could take him home as a pet. Leviathan was a massive creature probably a dinosaur that lived during Job's time. So God/Jesus could have ridden one (not that it says that He did; but the possiblity exists) :)

You are mistaken. Job is a historical narrative. You are taking a liberal approach to interpretation. The book of Job takes place during the time of Abraham (who is also historical). It is Wisdom Literature but that does not mean it is not historical in nature. The Bible does not contain false information. If it identifies an individual in the text then that person is definitely an historical personage. .

if someone is praising God with their mouth and their words, and is prophesying and declaring the truths of God, how does one respond? by cheering the man praying? ...... surely by agreeing with him in spirit, and either offering your own act of worship to God or by listening to whoever is leading and agreeing with their statements... kind of like a prayer meeting. worship God by playing a 'solo' then by strumming out a I-V-VI -IV....

i would want to worship God to the best of my ability, using all the skills i have and all the knowledge i have of music and playing with as much meaningful, heart felt expression as possible.

I personally responded to Gungor's 'solo' with a mixture or feelings. i was firstly impressed with his skill, but then i was further impressed by his heart. as a musician i was enjoying his musical ideas and i had an understand and

appreciation of the YEARS of practice and the wide exposure to music Gungor must have listened to and absorbed to create that. I then acknowledged that he was offering ALL of those years of practice and his skill to GOD. He was allowing us to be apart of his worship to God.

I know when I'm encountered-with / led-into a different style of worship, I'm a little hesitant first, maybe even a bit uncomfortable. I have to slap myself, though, when I find my thoughts bent towards judging the validity of that method. *I'm still learning how to worship.* I haven't been to heaven to see how it's done. I should just get over it and keep trying. (Furthermore, I should unashamedly use the gifts I'VE been given to the best of my ability to give praise to God.)
