Beautiful! I never totally liked the versions that are so well-known... this one beats them all. My own, too, by a mile! Could listen to you for hours. Wished I was a producer...
I'm a late comer ot your music. I've been playing and singing for over 50 years and this is really a great arrangement of a great song. I have enjoyed listening to this recording. Your guitar technique and treatment is a true gem to watch and listen to. You have a sweet voice-easy to listen to and I love your stage presence. Looking to hear more of your posting. Have subscribed. Have a great Labor Day. Mike.
I swear I need a CD of your music. I can't stop listening to your voice. I am going to promote you to my high school and college friends. You need to be heard.
Since hearing you sing House of the Rising Sun I've watched all your videos. This too is beautiful. You have a lovely unaffected voice that conveys a lot of real feeling without resorting to the cliched mannerisms so many young singers use. Good job and thanks for posting your music.
PS--You have beautiful eyes that would stop in a train in its tracks.
It was written in the early 70's by Michael Peter Smith. Steve Goodman recorded it and made it popular. Yes, Steve was a Chicago folkie. I don't believe Gordon Lightfoot ever recorded it, but I may be wrong.
Hard to believe you're only 20. You put much more feeling into this song than most 20 year olds could. It sounds so peaceful and beautiful. Don't let anybody change you.
Emily.....even Jerry Jeff would like your interpretation... Lovely and poignant.

I've always loved this song. From a folk duo? Gordon Lightfoot?

No disrespect to Steve Goodman, but Tommy Makem OWNS this song. RIP Tommy.
