For all who follow this video you are on the right track. I replaced my water pump using these videos and it was a life saver for me.
After I finished the engine the timing seemed to be off when trying to start.
Tore it down and checked the timing marks and they were correct..
Then I ***VERY IMPORTANT*** unplugged the cam sensor on the drivers side of the head, tried to start again with no luck, plugged sensor back in and BINGO.
anyone who has at least change their own oil can figure out what portions of the video's pertain to their own situation. This guy is a perfect trainer for the beginner. A+ ...very easy to understand- The Mr. Rogers of Auto mechanics.. nice job!
I've now watched 3 of your videos titled timing belt replacement and not one of them has anything to do with the f@#king timing belt! What morons! You have wasted a lot of my time cause you are too stupid to give proper description of what you are showing in your videos.
If you wasted your time it was because you didn't take enough time. I went through this process twice and all these videos were EXTREMELY helpful for the nightmare I went through replacing a water pump that some idiot decided to put inside the engine. There is just sooooooooooooo much that has to be done and even after you're done you have to reset the cam sensor by unplug and plug back in. If you are still having problems feel free to send a message.
@wazooavenue Please except my apology..I had been through so many videos that day trying to find details on replacing my timing belt (which I new was not going to be fun) that I was just very frustrated. I saw so many about replacing the belt but none of them actually showed the belt itself being removed and installed. However, my frustration is no excuse and once again I apologize for my comments.

@wazooavenue should you reset the cam sensor before or after you try starting the car after the re-build?

does anyone know if you have to remove the motor mount in order to replace the Water Pump on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, or can you work around it?
