with the greatest respect all to educated argentinians (and i know some) their compatriots here arent capable of a rational argument, insisting on using caps lock to shout about your alleged victorious military and brag about your imaginary technological superiority in armaments all fantasy. Its a bit tedious reading vitriolic, foul mouthed, and plain ignorant people's comments (i speak spanish) and it seems pointless to even bother replying any more. Keep playing your play stations embeciles
Malvinas argentinas! Con la mierda material que tenian la fuerza aerea argentina hundio barcos por valor de mas de 2.000 millones de $ de la época. Los mejores pilotos!
How can you be that volnerable to air attack? The British had to know that the Argentine air forces were their main threat. It just doesn't make sense why the Brits didn't pound their air forces in the main land until they ceased to be a danger.
@andyindublinireland Andy you're a black sheep... all your countrymen support us in Malvinas case! Ireland and Argentina are very close friends. And now that england is in decline, is a good time for our countries to celebrate !
@EddieHfromBottom Argentinians like to fantasize about their supposed air superiority in 82 and documentary makers there often cobble together footage of exocet strikes. It's the same with numerous other videos posted by Argentinians on youtube which purport to show battle scenes in the Falklands with about as much authenticity as a play station console game. They like their primeminsiter Kirchner just live in fantasy land.
@andyindublinireland PREGUNTALE A TODA TU MALDITA FLOTA SI ES MENTIRA!!! JAJAA!!! SE LES FRUNCIA EL OJETE CON CADA ATAQUE AREREO ARGENTINO!! MEDIA FLOTA HUNDIDA CON AVIONES DE PAPEL!!! IMAGINATE SI TUVIERAMOS EN ESE MOMENTO AVIONES DE ULTIMA TECNOLOGÍA LOS HACÍAMOS DESAPARECER!!! MALDITO INGLES BASTARDO!!! TENGO MI PUÑAL BIEN AFILADO PARA CORTAR TU GARGANTA!!!
The footage of a strike on a ship is footage of tests carried out against obsolete French ships. Note that the target is not manoeuvring or moving at all, which Sheffield was.
You Fuck, colonian gay, we are patriots, and we haved 18-20 year old, no como Uds. putos colonialistas.
@PROPAGANDAYATAQUE "Argentina doesn't have military power to seize the Falklands says defence minister" (el periodico, Daily Telegraph, hoy), ... y Peru tampoco
LARGO INGLESES HIJOS DE PUTA, VUELVAN A SU ISLA MAMONES¡ASI COMO LOS EXOCET BRINDADOS POR PERU HOY TENEMOS LOS SCUD Y LOS JAVELIN LOS SPIKE LOS OTOMAT2 ASI COMO LOS PAULET 100% HECHOS EN EL PERU, ADEMAS DE LOS AVINOES NO TRIPULADOS Q DISEÑAN Y CREA EL PERU. PERU POR MAS TRAICION Q HAYA RECIBIDO NUNCA DEJARA DE SER EL HONORABLE PERU
Just watched her speech on the newspaper La Nacion, and it occurred to me that for her (and people like her), the islanders don't count one bit, that they are completely irrelevant. All that counts to Argentina is its geographical symbol, its shape on a map. As we know Argentina is completely fixated with that topographical image so arguments of self-determination don't count, because basically they don't even recognise that the islands actually have a community of people. Its that simple.
@andyindublinireland yeah... the "falklanders" count for english people... (... a little crickets sound, please...)
Yes!... even Mr Cameron spoke to them trough a emotive christmas speech (... more crickets here, please...)
For english people these islands are much more than a shape on a map. There are even some British learned that there are two islands instead of one ... (... cri - cri - cri )
Funny how Cristina Kirchner yesterday refers to "our beloved Malvinas islands," when Argentina never owned (or will own) the Falklands. I suppose her childlike dreaming is endearing, perhaps that's why she is so popular with her fanatical supporters.
@andyindublinireland where is your"beloved"Hong kong?? yes i know...China is not properly a good"partner"to play... you british are such hypocrits and cowards who only dare to fight weaker country's... history prouves it! shame on you!
@Caposquier1 oh... and I forgot the Irish Guards ... plus there are numerous Irish regiments elsewhere around the world, New York's Fighting 69th Irish Brigade as well as regiments in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, S Africa, as well as Tyneside Irish regiment, Liverpool Irish regiment - all irishmen who were integral to the British army. You see we are a big family, contrary to what the songs by the Wolfetones think, whose lyrics you keep quoting.
@Caposquier1 errr ... who is hitting who with a baseball bat? wasn't it Argentina which illegally invaded the Falklands 30 years ago, imprisoned the islanders under gun point and house arrest, wrecked the town of Port Stanley AFTER her military force were ordered to leave the islands immediately by the United Nations on the 3rd April 1982, UN Resolution 502...
if you help your neighbor for a just cause is good. If your neighbor is hitting people with a baseball bat and you decide to accompany him using the argument that you always help your neighbor, you're a criminal. I'm sorry about your great uncle but Malvinas is not a just case if you're on the british side
Here you go argies, not everyone supports you... "(La nacion, hoy)... el gobierno del Reino Unido y los representantes de la Caricom firmaron un documento que insta a los países miembros a "apoyar el principio y el derecho a la autodeterminación de los pueblos, incluyendo los habitantes de las Falklands, reconociendo la importancia histórica de la autodeterminación en el desarrollo político del Caribe".
@AIfonzoPizzaBoy u should curst the american who design and built the aircraft that sunk the ship dude.. not the pilot that flew the aircraft so well trained.. sucker.. american create missile that argie used to kill british the american allied... soooooo stupid....
@raz260696 First at all... i am not neo nazi, i am communist, second, we dont kill nobody, not like yours.. killing civilians in afghanistan... so... fuck you
@Franco13SC we don't kill civilians in the middle east, the tailban do that. your baby killing so called troops but their guns up to unarmed islanders heads and forced them out of their homes, and they stat all over their homes, you animals.
I'll tell you why @Caposquier1... because Irishmen have served with Britain for centuries, as did my great uncle in world war two who died of his injuries, and like hundreds of thousands of others in the Dublin Fusileers, Munster Fusileers, Connaught Rangers, Leinster Rifles, Irish Rifles, Inniskilling Fusileers, Royal Irish Rifles, along with hundreds of thousands in the British navy and airforce and regular English regiments. Many, many Irish people support the UK.
@andyindublinireland This is very true. During the Napoleonic wars, a large number of Irishmen served in British Army infantry regts, and mighty fine soldiers they were too! I believe upwards of 20% of recruits were Irish. High numbers of Irishmen continued to enlist until the late 19th century. During WW1, significant numbers of Irish lads fought in the British Army. Good soldiers, robust, tough, resilient and very stubborn fighters the Irish. RESPECT from England!
Until you gobby South Americans actually do anything (rather than gobbing off on YT)...Rochchopper shall contine you drill that oil baby. The ' ja ja ja' is not going to get you the oil or the islands :0
If mouthing off over the net is all you can do then we are disapointed but not bothered because all we really care about is taking your resources :)
Ha llegado el tiempo para formar la FEDERACION HISPANA. Desde La Antartida hasta el SurOeste de Estados Unidos, España y la Sahara Hispana. UNION Y FUERZA!
@Caposqu Yes...it was Britian who was providing all of the medial aid for wounded Argentines whilst the Argentine commanders were tying their conscripted soldiers naked to poles (for which they are on trial for as well as stealing babies). We even treated your wounded soldiers over ours if their wounds were that serious. Argentine soldiers fired under the white flag and they fired from a hospital ship. Both are against the Geneva concention I haven't even started yet. you lot were a disgrace lol
@Caposquier1 If South American ganged up on the UK then not only would that trigger a NATO response (hence South America would get slapped silly)...the UK would then be entilted to use it's SSBN's against military targets. One of those warheads can take out an entire city. This is basically why South America won't dare try anythign even tho all the UK has on those islands is 4 Eurofighters, 1000 soldiers, a fee Rapiers, one SSN and a few Destroyers
@Caposquier1 yes it is old son,i remember it was YOUR crappy country that invaded the Flaklands in the first place! and why? because your idiots in charge needed a way to take their people's minds off the fact that THOUSANDS went "missing" under there rule!and even then in the end if backfired on them in a very big way!
so in conclusin i think the ONLY proper responce to you is FUCK YOU,YOU CUNT!
China? Oh yes, what a democratic country they are. The only negotiations you need to concern yourself with is that between Buenos Aires and Port Stanley. We know your question and you know the answer - y punto.
@andyindublinireland "y punto" jajaja... sos chistoso irlandés... te comiste un payaso?... tus compatriotas nos apoyan y odian a gran bretaña mas que nosotros....por qué no te sumás a ellos?
@Caposquier1 I knew you'd resort to speaking in your European language once I'd owned you (they all do) haha. You do realise that I can use Google translate seeing as you are yourself a prodict of colonialism hence your langue is based on Latin making it easy to translate? I think it's time you guys stop giving it the 'ja ja ja', put your money where your mouths are and come and have another crack at the title :)
@TheARMAProductions this is about right, not force... your country used to be the cradle of great thinkers, today is the planet of the apes and you're a good example of that... then don't get mad when they say that England is crass colonial power in decline ... you're the better explanation of that
@TheARMAProductions your sister was here for two weeks and tried to teach me your language. But we had sex all the time and as a result I can't say a word in English. Very ugly girl ... but what anal skills!!!
@Caposquier1 The last time you guys attempted a crack at the title, you left a long trail of poo that stunk the place out lol. We could literally see the brown marks as the Argentines were running back to Port Stanely rofl
@Caposquier1 I'm really offened by you calling me a 'N.E.R.D' over the net haha. Are you like 12 years old or is this the average IQ of the Argentine? If you want to be taken seriously then reply to the comments rather than trying to insult me (and failing at it in the process). You were the one to comment on me first with a reasonable comment and have now resorted to calling em a 'N.E.R.D'? This is why your people live in Shanty towns. They are stupid lol
@111jasy111 The Committee of 24 (Special Committee on Decolonization) includes the following corrupt states... and you want the UK to to take their advice???? what a joke... Cuba -Iran-Iraq-Sierra Leone-Syria-Timor-and Venezuela... You have got to be kidding, all these countries are run by dictatorships that jail their own people for nothing. Dont ever use the UN as an excuse in your arguments because you insult its name.
@andyindublinireland What about G77 + China? What about the entire OAS? CELAC? 200 countries are supporting our cause, that is, they support our intention to solve this dispute peacefully. Almost 200 countries... oh a very few are dictatorships... well, the UK was a friend of many dictatorships around the world too... Remember Pinochet?
@pablo55991 Have you been to Gibraltar? I very much doubt it. If you had youwould know that the people who outwardly look Spanish are in fact mixed from all over the Meidtteranean, and are mixed for centuries with British (and Irish people who constituted over 50% in the 19thC). Walk around the streets and you will see UK flags everywhere - thats because the islanders (like the Falklands) have their own British heritage and identity, they dont want to change. Claro?
Do Argentinians honestly believe that the Falkland Islands will be returned peacefully? As long as the British government and the people of the islands wish them to remain British territory, the United States and the UN will always lend its 'passive' support. The only option the Argentine government has therefore is military action. So Caposquier1, are you willing to pick up a rifle and give your life for the Falklands?
@111jasy111 Expose what? The UN is founded upon the principle of self-determination not sovereignty. History of the ownership of the islands (which I do not entirely dispute) does not change the fact that today the inhabitants of the islands wish to remain part of Britain. Until that situation changes the Falkland Islands will never be in Argentine hands. Ever since 1982, Argentine politicians have talked tough over the Falklands purely as a vote winner - there's no substance in it
@1905cafc The UN is not founded upon the principle of self-determination.
UN Charter:
Art 1. The purpose of the UN is to bring about by peaceful means adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace.
Principles:
Art 2: All Members shall settle their international disputes by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace, security and justice are not endangered.
But you still keep playing deaf to 10 Gen Assembly resolutions...
@111jasy111 That doesn't reveal anything other than that disputes should be settled through peaceful means lol. Duh! UN Charter, Article 1, Part 2: "To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and SELF-DETERMINATION of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace."
@1905cafc That is Part 2. I cited Part 1. Which part do you think goes first? You MUST solve and settle this international dispute. No excuse. You cannot hide on the principle of self determination first because it doesn't apply to the islanders and second because you are not developing friendly relations among nations. You are not taking measures to strengthen universal peace. All you've been doing is to play deaf to 10 UN General Assembly Resolution that urge talks without delay, since 1965!
This dispute was solved, regretably through war. Diplomacy was tried, but ultimately failed and Argentina chose to invade. Do you think Argentina were taking measures to strengthen universal peace when it invaded!? What would talks achieve? Argentina and Britain both claim sovereignty (lets not get into history), and neither side is willing to yield. Therefore, the fate of the islands rest with the islanders in accordance with the UN Charter. They want to be remain British. END OF
@1905cafc Ridiculous. The dispute wasn't solved through war, otherwise why the UN General Assembly kept releasing resolutions yearly urging both sides to settle the dispute? The Argentine dictatorship invaded after realizing the UK were playing deaf to the UN resolutions. Almost 20 years had passed with no outcome. The UN was urging you to enter talks -without delay- -as soon as possible- what part of that your country did not understand?
@111jasy111 That genocidal maniac known as Galtieri invaded out of pure populist motives, not out of anger at Britain's unwillingness to engage in diplomatic negotation. His country was collapsing and he sought the mother of all publicity stunts. If he didnt need the public support, he would never have invaded. Just because Britain did not enter into talks with Argentina, did that give Galtieri the right to invade?
@111jasy111 Lets be realistic. What are the genuinely potential outcomes of talks if they were ever to take place? Kirchner would sit down with Cameron. Kirchner would say the islands belong to Argentina. Cameron would say the islands belong to Britain. No agreement? Let the people decide! The people decide unanimously that the islands should remain part of Britain. You cannot decolonize a people that doesn't consider themselves colonized!
@111jasy111 Furthermore, if the UN Decolonization Committee were to actually inspect the islands to determine the 'best interests' of the islanders they would categorically conclude that they should remain part of Britain. Why? To preserve their cultural identity (80% are of direct British descent). To maintain the economy there (almost 70% of imports are from the UK). To preserve its police & defence force (it is completely reliant on Britain).
@1905cafc Havent you ever thought it's the other way around too? That is why no politician in Britain dares to talk about those 10 UN General Assembly resolutions or those 29 Decolonization Committee resolutions. Can you imagine a British politician saying "we should comply with the UN". Instant dissaproval! Massive booing at the Parliament! A total vote loser. Hence, every politician needs to push the nationalistic agenda. But before 1982 you didn't know about Faklands and didn't care either!
@111jasy111 You are surely aware that the UN Decolonization Committee has never actually visited the islands, despite the request of the government in Port Stanley. The UN resolutions have constantly called for the resumption of negotations, only to cement its neutral position, there is no substance to it. A vote loser!? There are MPs in Parliament now questioning the necessity of the islands, keep up! If anything, Kirchener uses 'Las Malvinas' to make sure she keeps her job!
@1905cafc The UN Resolutions urge talks to take place without delay as soon as possible. I see a lot of substance in the choice of words written. What kind of neutrality is that? They recognize our claim. And now there are almost 200 countries reminding the UK that those UN resolutions are not null and void, and that the UK shall comply with them.
Listen, in a few months there will be the 30th anniversary of this shit. Propaganda will abound in both sides. Not just Argentina. I'm aware. R U?
@1905cafc Easy mother fucker, you English make a false move and you're FUCKED. Keep pushing your luck, you're under pressure and you're downfall is coming.
@03Terrestre Remind me again of the result in 1982? A British navy severely weakened by budget cuts managed to wage a war 8,000 miles from the mainland and win comfortably in a very short space of time. The Argentine government knows it cannot reach a solution through military means - Galtieri isn't in power anymore! Argentina is a democracy, not a military dictatorship anymore.
The "falklanders" can't decide on the fate of what is not theirs, in this case, the territory of the islands. The U.N. doesn't recognize their self determination right. Then neither do we.
@Caposquier1 How can it not be theirs? when theve lived their for generations. Its like saying the argentines should get out of argententina and go back to spain. You just wouldn;t do it would you?
I dont give a Bo Diddly Shit who occupies the falklands. They could be British, Chinese, African, or freakin Alien. No one has the right to invade an already established community that pose no threat to anyone. If anyone did, they can't expect the World to sit back and watch.
@chubber2468 what do you suggest we do about Isreal's displacement of established community with bulldozer? the world is always changing, what is the established community changes. what do you do what some, like the zionist are unable to give up their quest of recovering land another community have already establish in?
@akinkhoo youve got a good point. Yup Israel out of order. Too much financial of a financial risk for other governments to intervene. they just cant live and let live. every one lives in fear of each other, but when it comes to the crunch all are needs are the same. We listen too much to all our governments money making propoganda and not enough to peoples real needs.
About 70 per cent are of British descent, primarily Scottish and Welsh. A few Islanders are of French, Gibraltarian, Portuguese and Scandinavian descent. Some are the descendants of whalers who reached the Islands during the last two centuries. Err,, no mention of Argentinians though @pablo55991
@andyindublinireland Please no mistake, you fool no one. There are no arguments to defend within reason what you got through the barbarism. United Nations doesn't recognize the self determination right of the "falklanders" because for UN they're an implanted population (people moved from other British colonies). Otherwise international law would be a joke and anybody could steal some islands!
@Caposquier1 so you can put into practice, self-determination must meet two conditions: 1) must be invoked by a population, 2) should not affect the territorial integrity of a State Sorry
@chubber2468 are you saying the wishes and freedom on the islanders dont count? is that what you are implying? i presume you are a yank from your language, well if so, then why in that case did the US not only occupy Hawaii, but also defend it, and then wage war on its aggressor, the Empire of Japan, with about 100,000 US serviceman paying for that freedom they were defending in blood. I watched The Pacific recently and got a small idea of the losses your country suffered to uphold a principle.
Watch out for the propaganda guys. This isn't about a bunch of innocent british farmers on a tiny island, that the Argintinians want back so they can fly there flag. Leave the Islanders alone. Check out the oil found by british oil companies recently. Dont fight about the island. buy some freakin shares in the oil.
"We remember William Brown, and his land of great renown, the invader robbed the islands from your country when in 1833, where by pirates forced to leave and in ireland sure we know the story fully. And the people that went too, to the Argentine when new to escape the english laws, and wars and famine They've proved a loyal crew, just like all the irish too las Islas Malvinas Argentinas" (WOLFE TONES - IRISH GROUP: Admiral William Brown song)
"We remember William Brown, and his land of great renown, the invader robbed the islands from your country when in 1833, where by pirates forced to leave and in ireland sure we know the story fully. @Caposquier1@kenjryker@jurgentsok1 Even Mozart loves the UK and her colonial history - look up this on youtube, and enjoy!!!! :P -------- @Mozart: Bardengesang auf Gibraltar: O Calpe!
@kenjryker that isnt true. The Uk did try diplomatic methods to kindly request the invading force to pack up and return to Rio Gallegos, in UN resolution 502, dated 3rd April 1982. Look it up on google... but Galtieri and his junta refused it, as like, now he thought it would bolster his public support. Cristina Kirchner and her party of left wing, nationalist Peronists are doing the same thing 30 years later, but the appeal is limited to hotheads.
Volveremos, pero antes terminaremos con esta democracia decadente. Los Nacionalistas al poder. Muerte a las democracias sionistas y a los aliados de la OTAN.
Thatcher's brand of hawkishness led directly to the deaths, maiming and trauma of thousands in this single campaign. A good person in leadership would have mobilized international political and economic sanctions to oust the Argentinean regime rather than indulging her own mean hearted machoism to prove herself and milk dark nationalist spirit for political gain.
@LAVB432 No problem with my ego, but ive read a lot of articles now and see that this conflict has even a long history before, its much more complex then it seems at first look.
@MrSmackdown100 England is losing power by the day, you are a weak nation on the brink of economic disaster, will be interesting to see England collapse.
@TheARMAProductions And what about the other half, the Great North American continent, which is turning more and more in Argentinas favor as Hispanics take over? Here in North America we consume British Petroleum, but from now on, I will boycott that brand of gasoline.
@03Ter You really think the US/Canada will ally itself with Argentina over the UK? Mate, the US and UK are so close they are almost the same country. We share nuclear technology such as Trident. BAE systems is the 3rd largest contractor to the US DoD. We share intelligence etc etc. What America sais to your face and what they actually do are two seperate things. They oenly criticized the UK in 1982 for not talking but were giving us anything we wanted behind the scenes. UK is capitalist like USA
@TheARMAProductions Hispanics in the United States have a tremendous growing influence, we are one of the major voting blocks in the country, and we don't look kindly to Englands meddling in a Hispanic countries territory.
@03Terrestre The Falklands is now an associated territory of the EU. USA's economy (and this means mexican jobs) are dependent on the EU. In order for the USA to turn on the UK and Europe there would hae to be a complete change in the USA's economy and entire way of working. It's certainly not going to happen any time soon mate
Comparison. UK Commanders: Lt Colonel H Jones - gave his life storming an Argentine machine gun post & was awarded the Victoria Cross in death for it. Pretty much unheard of throughout the world for an officer of such high ranking
Argentine Commanders: Currently on trial in Argentina for abusing their own men. They didn't feed them correctly & tied any scared Argentine conscript kids naked to poles (shwing!)
UK = Warriors of honour, Argentine = coward, only capable bullying kids/civilians
@ar2014 Yeah appolofies for that comment. I should of made clear it was the Generals. The young Argentine conscipts were keen to fight for what they believed in. In fact, British vets pay tribute to both the Argentin and British war dead when they visit the memorials on the islands. Politics aside, you should be livid at your government because they do not maintain the graves of the fallen Argentines. We too have issues similar to this in that the government often takes our soldiers for granted
@ar2014 PS: The success of the Excocet missile is just one example of our government taking the piss. Many of the Type 42 destroyers had their air defence systems downgraded during the late 70's in order to save money. When they went to the South Atlantic the destroyers were essentially being used as cannon fodder (to protect the valuable carriers by taking on the fire). A destroyers job is to be the pont man but this is what governments are like. They'll do naythign to save a buck
@ar2014 Yeah I just added an example of how all governments take the piss. The initial Argentine invasion consisted of the professional element of Argentinsa Army but shortly after, they removed these soldiers and replaced them with loads of conscipts. I can only think they were trying to call the UK's bluff, believing that the UK government would negotiate rather than fight. Had the Argentinians of kept those soldiers on the islands it would of been harder for the Brits
@TheARMAProductions Yes, the drunkard galtieri thought that a chilean invasion could happen, rather than an english response. so he proved that he was an awful strategist, and politician
@ar2014 The irony to that is that I don't think the UK would of stood for a Chilean invasion (assuming they eve had the ability to invade Argentina). You seem like a coll Argie...just out of interest, do you know what all the fuss is about regarding the Falklands/Malvinas?
@TheARMAProductions no, the chileans didnt have enough capability to invade us, but now they do, because our army suck right now (thanks to our dear president).
and i watched the news, and i heard that the kelpers want to live in peace, and to stop "being bullied" by our government. but im not too much into that issue. im more interested in the conflict between iran vs israel and the us.
I think it's beacuse the Argentine ruling elite are worried of another Junta type situation so they don't build up Argentina's forces. If Chille was to invade, believe it or not, I have a feeling that the UK would step in and condem Chille. The US would also be against it and action would be take.n The UK may fight for resources but fair play is a trait of the Brit. I acn't see the UK or US allowing Chille to do that. The UK is not the monster that some Argentines have been made to believe it is
@TheARMAProductions for decades, the strategy in south america (both by UK and USA) was "divide and rule". That game is over. Today Latin America seems acting like one nation. We do not get fooled by the Foreign Office. Every people in our countries are saying "Malvinas Argentinas" and "Englands: go out of South America"
@Caposquier1 Keep in mind that we too have this plan. Those islands are now an associated territory of the EU:
watch?v=bw2Ze6icgls It would be the EU vs South America. The EU is stronger both economically (GDP = 18 + trillion - larger than the USA) and millitarily. I would think very carefully before picking a fight with Europe considering that South American economies depend on it and Europe is where they get allot of their military kit from
@ar2014 Hi mate..I'll deal with you as you're sensible (unlike some of these Argie and brit twats).
I see. I don't even know much about Chile right now tbh. It looks like there may be aother war in the falklands/Malvinas soon I'm afraid. people never elarn the lessons of the past (all sides) which is sad
@ar2014 You are the only reason why I'm not tearing these tools apart mate haha. From my own experience on YT...there are Argentines who act like adults and show intelligence but they tend to be above the age of 30. This is why you are pretty unique. It's the same with Btits. Where Brits have the advantage lies in English being their native tongue so they can use that to their advantage when posting
@ar2014 I've got no issue with you guys claiming those islands because the way I see things id like this...
You are from Argentina so you back Argentina. I am from UK so I back UK. If the roles were reversed then we'd back the other country. This makes none of us more or less morale than the other. The reason why both nations are interested in those islands is not only due to the oil but Antarctica. Antarctica is a treasure trove of natural/bio resources and the Falklands/Malvinas is needed
@TheARMAProductions exactly, our governments do not care about that piece of desertic land, but i have a patriotic feeling, i mean unlike them, i dont care about the oil or the antarica.
@ar2 Yeah it has little to do with the islands themselves. The UK has a truph card in that the people living on those islands say they wish to remain part of the UK although that is not the real reason why we want that region. In order to control Antarctica you need to get those islands because a military base on those islands presents a threat. Antarctica has millions of tons of high grade coal, enough fish to feed the planet and has 70 % of the worlds drinkign water. This is what it's all over
@ar2014 I'm just having a laug with that bell end mate. It's not something people outside of the commonwealth (including the yanks) understand. Brits, Aussies, Kiwi's etc love to pisstake. We don't actually mean anything by it. We can take the piss out of each other whilst we are drinking with each other. It's the same with play fighting. When I were in Amsterdam, the locals actually thought me and my mates were fighting but we were in fact play fighting (roughing each other up)
with the greatest respect all to educated argentinians (and i know some) their compatriots here arent capable of a rational argument, insisting on using caps lock to shout about your alleged victorious military and brag about your imaginary technological superiority in armaments all fantasy. Its a bit tedious reading vitriolic, foul mouthed, and plain ignorant people's comments (i speak spanish) and it seems pointless to even bother replying any more.

Its that simple.
andyindublinireland 3 days ago
@andyindublinireland yeah... the "falklanders" count for english people... (... a little crickets sound, please...)
Yes!... even Mr Cameron spoke to them trough a emotive christmas speech (... more crickets here, please...)

Many, many Irish people support the UK.
andyindublinireland 4 days ago
@andyindublinireland This is very true. During the Napoleonic wars, a large number of Irishmen served in British Army infantry regts, and mighty fine soldiers they were too! I believe upwards of 20% of recruits were Irish. High numbers of Irishmen continued to enlist until the late 19th century. During WW1, significant numbers of Irish lads fought in the British Army. Good soldiers, robust, tough, resilient and very stubborn fighters the Irish. RESPECT from England!

111jasy111 5 days ago
@pablo55991 Have you been to Gibraltar? I very much doubt it. If you had youwould know that the people who outwardly look Spanish are in fact mixed from all over the Meidtteranean, and are mixed for centuries with British (and Irish people who constituted over 50% in the 19thC). Walk around the streets and you will see UK flags everywhere - thats because the islanders (like the Falklands) have their own British heritage and identity, they dont want to change. Claro?
andyindublinireland 5 days ago
Do Argentinians honestly believe that the Falkland Islands will be returned peacefully? As long as the British government and the people of the islands wish them to remain British territory, the United States and the UN will always lend its 'passive' support. The only option the Argentine government has therefore is military action. So Caposquier1, are you willing to pick up a rifle and give your life for the Falklands?
1905cafc 5 days ago
@1905cafc Nope, the option is to play the UN game until we expose you completely. The strategy is certainly doing quite well, if I can say...
111jasy111 5 days ago
@111jasy111 Expose what? The UN is founded upon the principle of self-determination not sovereignty. History of the ownership of the islands (which I do not entirely dispute) does not change the fact that today the inhabitants of the islands wish to remain part of Britain. Until that situation changes the Falkland Islands will never be in Argentine hands. Ever since 1982, Argentine politicians have talked tough over the Falklands purely as a vote winner - there's no substance in it
1905cafc 5 days ago
@1905cafc The UN is not founded upon the principle of self-determination.
UN Charter:
Art 1. The purpose of the UN is to bring about by peaceful means adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace.
Principles:
Art 2: All Members shall settle their international disputes by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace, security and justice are not endangered.
But you still keep playing deaf to 10 Gen Assembly resolutions...
111jasy111 5 days ago
@111jasy111 That doesn't reveal anything other than that disputes should be settled through peaceful means lol. Duh! UN Charter, Article 1, Part 2: "To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and SELF-DETERMINATION of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace."
1905cafc 5 days ago
@1905cafc That is Part 2. I cited Part 1. Which part do you think goes first? You MUST solve and settle this international dispute. No excuse. You cannot hide on the principle of self determination first because it doesn't apply to the islanders and second because you are not developing friendly relations among nations. You are not taking measures to strengthen universal peace. All you've been doing is to play deaf to 10 UN General Assembly Resolution that urge talks without delay, since 1965!
111jasy111 5 days ago
This dispute was solved, regretably through war. Diplomacy was tried, but ultimately failed and Argentina chose to invade. Do you think Argentina were taking measures to strengthen universal peace when it invaded!? What would talks achieve? Argentina and Britain both claim sovereignty (lets not get into history), and neither side is willing to yield. Therefore, the fate of the islands rest with the islanders in accordance with the UN Charter. They want to be remain British. END OF
1905cafc 5 days ago
@1905cafc Ridiculous. The dispute wasn't solved through war, otherwise why the UN General Assembly kept releasing resolutions yearly urging both sides to settle the dispute? The Argentine dictatorship invaded after realizing the UK were playing deaf to the UN resolutions. Almost 20 years had passed with no outcome. The UN was urging you to enter talks -without delay- -as soon as possible- what part of that your country did not understand?
111jasy111 5 days ago
@111jasy111 That genocidal maniac known as Galtieri invaded out of pure populist motives, not out of anger at Britain's unwillingness to engage in diplomatic negotation. His country was collapsing and he sought the mother of all publicity stunts. If he didnt need the public support, he would never have invaded. Just because Britain did not enter into talks with Argentina, did that give Galtieri the right to invade?
1905cafc 5 days ago
@111jasy111 Lets be realistic. What are the genuinely potential outcomes of talks if they were ever to take place? Kirchner would sit down with Cameron. Kirchner would say the islands belong to Argentina. Cameron would say the islands belong to Britain. No agreement? Let the people decide! The people decide unanimously that the islands should remain part of Britain. You cannot decolonize a people that doesn't consider themselves colonized!
1905cafc 5 days ago
@111jasy111 Furthermore, if the UN Decolonization Committee were to actually inspect the islands to determine the 'best interests' of the islanders they would categorically conclude that they should remain part of Britain. Why? To preserve their cultural identity (80% are of direct British descent). To maintain the economy there (almost 70% of imports are from the UK). To preserve its police & defence force (it is completely reliant on Britain).
1905cafc 5 days ago
@1905cafc Havent you ever thought it's the other way around too? That is why no politician in Britain dares to talk about those 10 UN General Assembly resolutions or those 29 Decolonization Committee resolutions. Can you imagine a British politician saying "we should comply with the UN". Instant dissaproval! Massive booing at the Parliament! A total vote loser. Hence, every politician needs to push the nationalistic agenda. But before 1982 you didn't know about Faklands and didn't care either!
111jasy111 5 days ago
@111jasy111 You are surely aware that the UN Decolonization Committee has never actually visited the islands, despite the request of the government in Port Stanley. The UN resolutions have constantly called for the resumption of negotations, only to cement its neutral position, there is no substance to it. A vote loser!? There are MPs in Parliament now questioning the necessity of the islands, keep up! If anything, Kirchener uses 'Las Malvinas' to make sure she keeps her job!
1905cafc 5 days ago
@1905cafc The UN Resolutions urge talks to take place without delay as soon as possible. I see a lot of substance in the choice of words written. What kind of neutrality is that? They recognize our claim. And now there are almost 200 countries reminding the UK that those UN resolutions are not null and void, and that the UK shall comply with them.
Listen, in a few months there will be the 30th anniversary of this shit. Propaganda will abound in both sides. Not just Argentina. I'm aware. R U?

@03Terrestre Remind me again of the result in 1982? A British navy severely weakened by budget cuts managed to wage a war 8,000 miles from the mainland and win comfortably in a very short space of time. The Argentine government knows it cannot reach a solution through military means - Galtieri isn't in power anymore! Argentina is a democracy, not a military dictatorship anymore.
1905cafc 5 days ago

About 70 per cent are of British descent, primarily Scottish and Welsh. A few Islanders are of French, Gibraltarian, Portuguese and Scandinavian descent. Some are the descendants of whalers who reached the Islands during the last two centuries. Err,, no mention of Argentinians though @pablo55991
andyindublinireland 6 days ago
@andyindublinireland Please no mistake, you fool no one. There are no arguments to defend within reason what you got through the barbarism. Otherwise international law would be a joke and anybody could steal some islands!

andyindublinireland 1 week ago
@kenjryker that isnt true. The Uk did try diplomatic methods to kindly request the invading force to pack up and return to Rio Gallegos, in UN resolution 502, dated 3rd April 1982. Look it up on google... but Galtieri and his junta refused it, as like, now he thought it would bolster his public support. Cristina Kirchner and her party of left wing, nationalist Peronists are doing the same thing 30 years later, but the appeal is limited to hotheads.

@fmw944 the same year they defended the rights of the falklands, the British establishment ended the rights of the people of Diego Garcia.

@03Terrestre Spain? Spain is about to go bankrupt lolz
I would think very carefully before you pick a fight with the UK mate. Just one of our SSBN's could take out the entire South American continent.

@TheARMAProductions And what about the other half, the Great North American continent, which is turning more and more in Argentinas favor as Hispanics take over? Here in North America we consume British Petroleum, but from now on, I will boycott that brand of gasoline.
03Terrestre 6 days ago
@03Ter You really think the US/Canada will ally itself with Argentina over the UK? Mate, the US and UK are so close they are almost the same country. We share nuclear technology such as Trident. BAE systems is the 3rd largest contractor to the US DoD. We share intelligence etc etc. What America sais to your face and what they actually do are two seperate things. They oenly criticized the UK in 1982 for not talking but were giving us anything we wanted behind the scenes. UK is capitalist like USA
TheARMAProductions 5 days ago
@TheARMAProductions Hispanics in the United States have a tremendous growing influence, we are one of the major voting blocks in the country, and we don't look kindly to Englands meddling in a Hispanic countries territory.
03Terrestre 5 days ago
@03Terrestre How does this issue effect you personally?
chubber2468 5 days ago
@chubber2468 I will not let a fellow Hispanic country on it's own.
03Terrestre 5 days ago
@03Terrestre Where are the hispanic people on the falklandsa that want you there?
chubber2468 5 days ago

TheARMAProductions 5 days ago
@TheARMAProductions you are right, the true patriots were the conscripts, not the commanders. (with a few exceptions)
ar2014 5 days ago
@ar2014 Yeah appolofies for that comment. I should of made clear it was the Generals. The young Argentine conscipts were keen to fight for what they believed in. In fact, British vets pay tribute to both the Argentin and British war dead when they visit the memorials on the islands. Politics aside, you should be livid at your government because they do not maintain the graves of the fallen Argentines. We too have issues similar to this in that the government often takes our soldiers for granted
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@ar2014 PS: The success of the Excocet missile is just one example of our government taking the piss. Many of the Type 42 destroyers had their air defence systems downgraded during the late 70's in order to save money. When they went to the South Atlantic the destroyers were essentially being used as cannon fodder (to protect the valuable carriers by taking on the fire). A destroyers job is to be the pont man but this is what governments are like. They'll do naythign to save a buck
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions so what,? i was talking about the conscripts
ar2014 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions sorry, i didnt read the other messsage, now i understand
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2014 Yeah I just added an example of how all governments take the piss. The initial Argentine invasion consisted of the professional element of Argentinsa Army but shortly after, they removed these soldiers and replaced them with loads of conscipts. I can only think they were trying to call the UK's bluff, believing that the UK government would negotiate rather than fight. Had the Argentinians of kept those soldiers on the islands it would of been harder for the Brits
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions Yes, the drunkard galtieri thought that a chilean invasion could happen, rather than an english response. so he proved that he was an awful strategist, and politician
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2014 The irony to that is that I don't think the UK would of stood for a Chilean invasion (assuming they eve had the ability to invade Argentina). You seem like a coll Argie...just out of interest, do you know what all the fuss is about regarding the Falklands/Malvinas?
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions no, the chileans didnt have enough capability to invade us, but now they do, because our army suck right now (thanks to our dear president).
and i watched the news, and i heard that the kelpers want to live in peace, and to stop "being bullied" by our government. but im not too much into that issue. im more interested in the conflict between iran vs israel and the us.
for more information, check out the google news
ar2014 4 days ago
I think it's beacuse the Argentine ruling elite are worried of another Junta type situation so they don't build up Argentina's forces. If Chille was to invade, believe it or not, I have a feeling that the UK would step in and condem Chille. The US would also be against it and action would be take.n The UK may fight for resources but fair play is a trait of the Brit. I acn't see the UK or US allowing Chille to do that. The UK is not the monster that some Argentines have been made to believe it is
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago

I would think very carefully before picking a fight with Europe considering that South American economies depend on it and Europe is where they get allot of their military kit from
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions we have a good relation with chile right now, there wont be a war or anything like that
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2014 Hi mate..I'll deal with you as you're sensible (unlike some of these Argie and brit twats).
I see. I don't even know much about Chile right now tbh. It looks like there may be aother war in the falklands/Malvinas soon I'm afraid. people never elarn the lessons of the past (all sides) which is sad
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions i hope not, and dont listen to those people, they are a bunch of nationalists..
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2014 You are the only reason why I'm not tearing these tools apart mate haha. From my own experience on YT...there are Argentines who act like adults and show intelligence but they tend to be above the age of 30. This is why you are pretty unique. It's the same with Btits. Where Brits have the advantage lies in English being their native tongue so they can use that to their advantage when posting
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions yes, im 19, not 30 lol.
i mean, i will always claim the falklands as ours, but in the correct form, not insulting like those people
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2014 I've got no issue with you guys claiming those islands because the way I see things id like this...
You are from Argentina so you back Argentina. I am from UK so I back UK. If the roles were reversed then we'd back the other country. This makes none of us more or less morale than the other. The reason why both nations are interested in those islands is not only due to the oil but Antarctica. Antarctica is a treasure trove of natural/bio resources and the Falklands/Malvinas is needed
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions exactly, our governments do not care about that piece of desertic land, but i have a patriotic feeling, i mean unlike them, i dont care about the oil or the antarica.
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2 Yeah it has little to do with the islands themselves. The UK has a truph card in that the people living on those islands say they wish to remain part of the UK although that is not the real reason why we want that region. In order to control Antarctica you need to get those islands because a military base on those islands presents a threat. Antarctica has millions of tons of high grade coal, enough fish to feed the planet and has 70 % of the worlds drinkign water. This is what it's all over
TheARMAProductions 4 days ago
@TheARMAProductions by the way, why are you arguing with "caposquier1"?
ar2014 4 days ago
@ar2014 I'm just having a laug with that bell end mate. It's not something people outside of the commonwealth (including the yanks) understand. Brits, Aussies, Kiwi's etc love to pisstake. We don't actually mean anything by it. We can take the piss out of each other whilst we are drinking with each other. It's the same with play fighting. When I were in Amsterdam, the locals actually thought me and my mates were fighting but we were in fact play fighting (roughing each other up)
