  • I hope you put some vitamin complex for birds in that water...

  • Thousands of thanks!!! you are a very smart person... it's really easy!!! Now we can feed the hummingbirds in our home!!!... Hugs from Chile.

  • where did u get the white thing that has holes from?

  • Would have been a great video if you would have shown how to attach the hanging part of the feeder..?!??

  • W.T.F goto R.I.P U A**HOAL

  • very clever

  • Thank you very much for this. I'll be making one for sure.

  • How many oz. does it hold before it comes out of the feeder holes to avoid making a sugary mess?

  • How do you fill it?

  • This is great ! I can't wait to imitate this one !

  • just made one though I had to improvise since I didn't have the white deli style containers. I put part of a red plastic bag over the bottle in hopes of attracting the guys that have been coming around in disappointment that I've had nothing for them. We'll see if they come back and it works. GREAT post!!

  • Great Idea, I will be making one of these for the summer. Thanks. What did you use to hang it?

  • @allyshaa13 Ok, Thanks; you can tie a thin wire (3 or 4 lines) around the neck, and form a lace on bottle bottom, so hanging upside down... is easy...

  • @PENTADACTYLON Thank-you.

  • super cool! Also by using simple available objects! Thnx.

  • Thank you for posting this. Nice music, also. Just as a safety, I read on the audobon sight that you should never add food color to homemade nectar. Not safe. The also say to boil the mixture thoroughly for 4 minutes as hummingbirds' delicate little systems are susceptible. Thank you again...and kudos to all for loving our precious hummingbirds!! :)

  • @vernellecheeseman Thanks. Very important info.

  • so, how did you hang it?

  • It's beautifull and I like the music too

  • Do you have make one? Yes? ...or is simple theory? By the way you need only a cutter...

  • @veneto53 how do humming birds know its a food? can they smell? btw this is the best home made feeder ill try it thx =)

  • @morningstar000 Think: ... how they know there are food deep inside a flower?

  • @PENTADACTYLON instic?

  • @morningstar000 ...they have nose, eyes,tongue,ears... and most important:hungry.

  • @PENTADACTYLON im not satisfied with ur answer

  • @veneto53 What a wonderful Video. I would love to share it with my readers/followers.

  • That cup will release its grip on the lid any warm day by the weight of the water in it. Also you din'nt show the main job__ how you made those holes in the lid so it fit perfectly with the bottle cap size?

  • i shot a hole in my moms old humming bird feeder, so im making this one. lol thanks.

  • @tainy98: the red coke paper is to look fike flowers for the H.birds...kinda tacky but bet it works and does recyle even more,...bet it could be perfected by a woman!

  • no fuss, EZ to have the supplies! love it!

  • Here in S CA, the hummingbirds are staying around all year. At one time I thought that they went away in the winters around here. Without as many flowers for them all to survive, we are making dozens to spread around. This video was a great help.

  • @2JamesGregory Hi, a gold medal for you.... Your contribution to help the Nature, and birds, is the best gift for all us...

  • thanks for the info, would it be too much if you could make another video showing the hanger and also something for hummers to perch on, so they can rest while feedings ??? I keep breaking the perch on my store bought feeders *-* have quite a few hummers in my area Thanks so much

  • @candyjr1 Tanks frend, maybe I will do later....

  • Thanks for this brilliant clip, but how do you make the hanger that goes with it?

  • @candyjr1 Is not a big problem... hang-it with a thin wire around the neck, 3 lines is better, and make a lace on the bottom. (Up side down....) Enjoy it.

  • genius

  • @Chavalierdeon Maybe genial, "genius was Leonardo da Vinci..."

  • brilliant!!!

  • question: how did you hang it up? thanks

  • @hell0hkitty Is not a big problem... hang-it with a thin wire around the neck, 3 lines is better, and make a lace on the bottom. (Up side down....)

  • @BADMIKEYY Generally birds like bath on level floor... or at edge of fountains. A "jacuzzi"-hang seem not work.

  • Thanks so much for this feeder I just bought one at wally world for 7.58.....my bad

I'll have them strung up all over .....any ideas for a bird bath that hangs?

  • i will use this for water supply to the bees

  • Thanks for your invention, my husband made me one and i appreciate you for posting it on you tube. I had tree store bought and could not fine any after i have made the nectar so you can image n how excited it was for me because i looked for them up in the shed's attic for like 15 minutes in over 100 degrees heat, so a million thanks.Anna

  • pretty good idea except didnt understand why he put the coke paper around the holes ( feeder part)

  • @tainy98 Red color is very atrtactive for hummingbird. You can use the same Coke label to make fake flowers.... or other stuff.
