No one will ever match Paul Newman as a actor and a giving man to kids all over the world. His Hole In The Wall camps are just what he was, a gift to the world and because of men like Newman, the world is a better place.
While these two are good actors, Paul Newman was, and always will be, the top of his craft. As an actor, as a humanitarian, as a father and husband, and as a human being. There will never be the likes of him again. We cherish the body of work he left behind. We miss you so, terribly, Paul. Thanks for sharing yourself with us. RIP.
Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio are GREAT actors. Not only are they great actors but they are very good looking too. Why do you have to put these two down? It makes no sense.
Gottta throw a word in here people...Very few people in life have the "it" factor...Paul "is"..the "it" factor.......Nobody plays the game like Paul....You are the men of men Paul...Rack em up...It's time to play..
the sad simple fact is that nobody, absolutely nobody has the looks of the Newmans or the twenty or thirty other stars stretching back to the 40s, male or
female. None. That said, you are still stuck for acting ability. Lacking there too.
Dialog, a string of four letter words with a generous mixture of diminished vocabulary. Actually one movie lately , not a trend, was fairly good, however.
Winters Bone. Before that, what, LA Confidential. Yikes, what a drought.
I mean I think even Paul Newman would disagree with you. A clip of Dicaprio praising Newman, saying Newman is what you should aspire to be, and all you do is trash him. And yet he's the douche?
Hey can you check out my videos im a comedian I worked really hard one my most recent video So check my channel and if you wanna be mean thats what the comment box is for so enjoy :D
why is Crowe talking about the body or work between 67 and 76? What about Newman's work in the late 50's and entire 60's? Newman was the man then. Does Crowe even know what he's talking about?
I believing he was refering to the movement from that time at 67-76. Movies and acting were becoming even more naturalistic. And Paul Newman had a major impact for that paticular movement.
@Tigerlily21 Yes, Crowe knows what he is talking about because he was talking about the movement in Hollywood that Newman and McQueen was so involved in. Prior to about 1967 Newman was just part of the machine which is what gave him the power in the coming years to do the things that he did.
@Tigerlily21 Lol I think Crowe was like, "Shit, what year did Newman do 'Towering Inferno'? I'll just come up with a random period." And he checks after the interview and he's like, "74'. YES! I JUST got it!"
@Tigerlily21 yea he does.lol those years were some of his best. brando started the whole realistic acting and like crowe said, newman took it to another level. that is what he was touching base on
George Clooney said that Paul set the bar too high for the rest of them and that's true. The Brad Pitt's George Clooney's of today who flaunt their charity work need to take a lesson from Paul. Paul Newman did everything in such a dignified way without holding a press conference everytime he donated to charity. These actors of today could take a lesson from Paul Newman. What a class act. The man will be remembered so well.
Good God. You wonder how some people can be so insensitive to the people who came before them.
Just so you know how hot Paul Newman was: I'm a young woman but I've developed got a huge crush on Paul Newman -- which got even bigger when I saw him in his 70s. That's something even Crowe and Russell still haven't managed to do to me on their best butt-naked-on-screen days.

Tom Cruise ruins The Color of Money with his ego. He is a world class tit. Thomas Mapother Cruise IV indeed.

Paul was, quite simply, the most beautiful man inside and out. That was sweet of Russ and Leo to say those things. <3

but he seems to just regard Paul Newman and Steve McQueen as personality actors. Paul was a lot more than a personality actor.
Tigerlily21 2 years ago 5
Personality actor? I think your just blinded by his good looks. His acting through most of his career is overlooked because of his visual appeal.
MyMemorableScenes 2 years ago 3
you could be right, though i remember him in Exodus and he had a kind of speech impediment
was this acting or did he have it and he got rid of it through actor training ?
panzermort 2 years ago
@Tigerlily21 He probably doesn't.
