re is no granit in Rock Cayon, the owner of 80 acres of old mine claims (mostly vertical ie. the cliff walls) wanted to sell the property to the Forest service, parks and recreation Provo, the State of Utah etc... for an profit, and illegal mining of landscape boulders was his way of getting attention. Yes its his land, but you need a permit from the Mining comission, and this battle has been going on for years.
