@darkeyce02 Because a 914-6 is fucking $. The 911 motors needs modifications and will make less power, the Boxter motor will be even more $ and headaches... the V8 is too heavy which raises the center of gravity and will blow the trans due to the torque. I have a SHO I drive at work, (junk yard). It's a GREAT motor and a lot of fun, but it's a Taurus, thus, it kinda sucks. I'm using a 3.4 Chevy with a Torker II intake and matched headers. It should be good for 190-200h.p. That, in a 2,100lb car?
@qwertywrangler the 911 engine would be best, the 911 engine wouldnt need much modification, not nearly as much as a v6. and thats why you swap in a new porsche transaxle. i would do the swap right if i was gonna spend the time on it
@qwertywrangler nah, it would be easier and more benificial just to use a porsche engine, after all its not going to be a porsche any more if you put a v6 in it

He did theV8 thing and said that it drove like shit, the 60 degree V6 is small as hell, so it's really light at only 350lbs. No metal cutting at all! Turn key should be January... @rebelrecycler It's not an ex-cop car, it just has the police grill, its a common swap people do. The regular ford taurus used to be used as a cop car but never the SHO version.
