This isn't how you train the police. You don't sit there for months or weeks or whatever it is, at a time and yell in their faces. They'll get out and have power trips or just have that anger built up because of the type of shit they had to go through. Marine recruit training is probably 30% more demanding psychically and mentally. Army recruit training probably 18%. Seal BUD training is even less comparable.. Soldiers are usually taking a bigger risk of life than a police officer. especially those who are policing the suburbs,

After joining the Marine Corps in the early 90s, and completing boot camp, I realize that this is pansy boot camp. All you have to remember is to maintain your bearing. I mean they make them do 20 push ups and send them on their way.... REALLY?!

Im a veteran en this is nowhere like my experience in the military when I joined.All this yelling on your face, spitting, etc is their way of welcoming everyone in the academy. Every1 don't fall 4 it, they just want to break you n tell you they're IN CHARGE while your in their academy. Trust me these instructors will break loose after a week or two. They'll break loose en start interacting with cadets. Its simple, just go with the flow until you graduate.The more you resist the harder it gets .
I think these deputies, especially the white guys, have a very low self esteem and a very poor lifestyle outside of their control freak job. They remind me of Hitler. With all honesty. Chopping my head of my neck would have hurt me uncomparably less than this sadistic humiliation. I wonder when was the last time these deputies have been humiliated by others. If these recruits can't handle the tac officers making their lives miserable, there is absolutely no way they will make it out on the ''streets''. I was a Marine Corps Military Policeman for four years. The MP school I went through was just as tough, if not tougher than the Marine Corps recruit training in San Diego.

It also exposes the individual to harsh treatment, so that if ever exposed to it again, it does not affect them quite as much. As for the women, they too must be exposed to the same harsh treatment. They are applying for the same job as the men, and go experience similar situations on the job. Everyone has to be tough.

Female officers are NEEDED to handle female offenders, it cuts down on sexual harassment and lawsuits. Which can KILL a departments reputation.

But once they graduate and get in the real world any citizen that makes loud noises or threats to them usually end up in hand cuffs or jail. But I'm sure they would say it teaches personal restraint. Im a veteran en this is nowhere like my experience in the military when I joined.All this yelling on your face, spitting, etc is their way of welcoming everyone in the academy. Every1 don't fall 4 it, they just want to break you n tell you they're IN CHARGE while your in their academy. Trust me these instructors will break loose after a week or two. They'll break loose en start interacting with cadets. Its simple, just go with the flow until you graduate.The more you resist the harder it gets .

If you can't stand a little discipline and people yelling at you, then you have no purpose carrying a gun and badge. There is actually a pretty high dropout percentage on the first day, haha. This here isn't anything compared to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy, though. Troopers will make the 7 months there absolutely miserable for you, haha.
