dose the 4x4x4 need to be a eastsheen? can it be a normal rubik's cube 4x4x4

For this build, you definitely need two Eastsheen 4x4x4s. Rubik 4x4x4s just won't work as they have a completely different mechanism.

As I said, there will never be a full tutorial for this. I do have good construction pictures on my website however. Much like the Slim Tower, I find that building from the middle layer out is the secret to success for the 4x4x5 as well. At least for me.

i checked your website, and no tuturials. can you make a partial tuturial? or atleast a dissassembly video explaining roughly how it works, and how to make it?

Did you actually read the page on my website? I explain how the pieces must be shifted half a layer and even show side-by-side pictures of stock and modified pieces. Not sure how much more I can say on the subject. And how is a low resolution youtube video going to be better than high res pictures?

If by extended you mean did I glue an extra layer onto a 4x4x4 Eastsheen? Then the answer would be "no." All 5 layers turn independently. The checkerboard pattern is the clue. You can't make a full checkerboard pattern from a simple extended puzzle.

My goal has always been to make a few tutorials, however I never intend to make a full tutorial for this puzzle. It's just too much work to make a tutorial for this puzzle and plus the limitations of youtube really affect how well you can see anything anyway.

Pretty much all of them. The blocked movement on the puzzles confound me. But then, I haven't really sat down and really thought about a solution.

Depends on the puzzle. This particular one takes me roughly 20-30 hours to make. But then again, I'm slow.
