This is one of bad religion's best songs! It reminds me of Joe Strummer whenever I listen to it, who in my opinion is one of the greatest punk rockers who ever lived!

as a drummer i would have to say punk music is by far the funnest music to play imho
people who talk shit about punk probably dont play an instrument at all and never will cuz they're too busy running their mouth quoting some ganster shit or something lame like that. fuck em. they are too dumb to understand how to really write a song.
At least Punk can be classified as music unlike hiphop/rap that has absolutely NO INSTRUMENTS, its just a poem with a digitally mixed beat behind it. Punk also a lot of the time has political messages unlike rappers these days that rap about money girls and booze.
@Veepik Not all Hip Hop is about money girls and booze. Also, Have you heard of The Roots? Some of the most talented musicians around, and they are Hip Hop. Listen to KRS-One. He will change your life. Hip Hop and Punk are more similiar than you would think. Just because all you hear on the radio is bullshit doesnt mean thats all there is.
@Veepik Instruments don't make music... any combination of sounds that follows certain rules makes music. Besides, digitally manipulating sound is not as easy as some may think, much less when the songs are running (DJs). It's another thing that commercial music is made simple to be easy to digest.
@Veepik Well that's just the mainstream part of Hip Hop. Same goes with mainstream rock don't you think? You can't completely ignore the underground artists that keep it real and stick to their roots that goes unnoticed by the masses.
@tonyfakeslikebear To me punk music seems like it's the hardest to play because it's so fast pace plus getting the rhythm down on every point. it amazes me

bad religion es una de las mejores bandas de la historia de la musica. Sus letras deberian publicarse en libros de texto para los chicos del colegio primario. De lo mejor ! Les recomiendo "Fun People" y "El otro yo"
Im not sure how I understood what this said... I dont even understand Spanish... Bad Religion must be so great it brings understanding between people.
Im glad to know that ! It must be like you say because to undestand the BR lirycs i have to read it from a paper. and even without undestanding what it says i feel for this band
He said that BR is one of the best band in history. Their Lyrics should be published in school books. The best. I recommend "Fun People" and "El Otro Yo" (Argentinean Bands).
Their career is like a boomerang. Quick release then it hits that curve (no substance and to a lesser effect, new america which really grew on me years after its release) and comes right back (the new wackerman/gurewitz albums)
Blink 182 is corporate manufactured pop... Their last decent album was Dude Ranch and it wasn't great. MxPx started on a Christian Label and sold out their beliefs for more money. I think you should re-evaluate what you think good music is... If you like it go ahead and listen to it but don't put a list together and think its right...
@TheRonin5 MxPx didn't sell out their beliefs. They left Tooth and Nail because the owner tricked them into igning over the rights of their songs to him when they were really young. They happened to be noticed by mainstream labels at the time and gained success because they're good songwriters.
@HoboHero13 MxPx started on a Christian label. I don't see that as a problem. To each is ones own. The problem is that they sold out their beliefs to make more money and get more exposure. They were originally with the Christian label "Tooth and Nail" and left for A&M changing the ideals of their music.
@HoboHero13 if you mean that they dont sing god is good give money or go to hell youre right but most of there songs are about how to live and die and thats basically what religion is all about just a hint, like Pity the dead and Honest good bye mm. Pennywise sings about god 'MY GOD'
Blink-182 and Miley Cyrus are the Republicrats of music. To compare to Bad Religion is as ignorant as comparing Bush to Holden Caulfield (and yes, that amazingly has happened),
@cloverdalepunk Each to their own,we are all entitled to our opinions, whether or not others agree, its our right. I don't like hip hop/rap etc, but tolerate others choices. I love this song. I saw them live at warped tour. It was so awesome. This 60 year old guy was crowd surfing. They are really good live... nice to. One of them came down and talked to us because me and my friend were one of the youngest people watching them.
I like to leave positive comments not involving discussions about stupid people who dress like a genre of music and stereotype themselves, therefore landing them in a "clique" where they will forever be looked down upon by all the other "cliques". I like Bad Religion!! w00t!!

I saw them 4 days ago. This was the first song they played. I love every second of it. Requiem for dissent is one of my top 10 BR songs.
One thing i gotta say is that "The Grey Race" is extremely underrated. There are a number of great songs on that 1996 album.

I agree, but it would have been an AMAZING album if Brett was there with them. I still feel sad about that even though he's back in the band.

I like Bad Religion!! w00t!!
