What the hell do you mean by "they could have done far better but they didn't" DASBIGUN? In this particular movie, the director was portraying Godzilla as a REALISTIC, BELIEVABLE animal. The original Japanese Godzilla, no matter how he looked or moved, was NOT portrayed as a realistic, believable creature. In the 1998 Godzilla, he was created in a way in which you believed him to be a real animal with real world weaknesses n' such. Trust me, you are beyond words wrong.

@supercoolgodzilatoys OK well for starters it wasn't totally his fault, the director told him Godzilla leaner to run through the city and had to be able to blend into the backround. HE didn't have much of a say in godzilla would dying or not or even breath fire, the director didn't even want to give GODZILLA a fireball at first but some fan found out and demanded it be given. I believe the design is fine given that he had to go off of very little detail of what they wanted, so blame the director
