This does look like Carroll Gardens. I visited friends there - it's a very nice, safe neighborhood. People were real friendly too. It's convenient to the subway and just a couple of stops from Manhattan.
That area looks like 2nd place, between Court and Clinton Streets in the Carroll Gardens, section of Brooklyn, N.Y. i grew up that area, and moved out in 1984, and i still miss the old neighborhood. I went back to visit the area, and i did see a change.

I might like an area like that.
A concern would be a car tho for sure so I might not even drive living there.
