I use a Haupaugge HD PVR... but i also make CoD and Guitar Hero videos in HD as well as Let's Plays on my Wii/Gamecube/N64, so yeah.

It records up to 1080i, no 1080p :( No HDMI. It records with components.

I payed $185 for mine at Walmart.com, but they are usually $200. You might be able to get for under than $185 new, i just don't know.

Also, the Haupaugge is an external capture card, which is really cool IMO. You can connect is to almost any computer as long as you have the USB 2.0 cable.

@EvilApple567 My God, I love my HD PVR as well. It's expensive, but so worth it. I've heard good things about BlackMagic's Intensity devices; they make the PCI-Express (I believe) Intensity Pro, or the USB 3.0 Intensity Shuttle external device.
