Wow, sweet video. Amazing use of loops. Perhaps those who would like to get this level should have a look at my attached video. Might help to get you started.
Good stuff man, but I'd highly recommend learning how to use the chord track. Regular chord changes and key changes would take this from a novelty to a real piece of music.
I, actually, agree, by the way. This song is great for an underground hit, they should put you in the top ten. I also made a song using Apple loops. Just click on my username, "djtechno95," and look for a video called ""Untitled" By John Chau." I hope you like it.
You cannot sell apple loop tracks!! unless you put in your own stuff!! yes it sounds nice.. you did NOT create this....i used to swear on apple loops... when i tried to get a job a producer in a studio... the guy kicked me out saying NO LOOPS!!! apple loops are for post production and learning...
Apple loops from the jam packs are royalty free. You can use them in a composition without any legal issues as long as you don't try to use them to create another sample library for sale. It is explained better in the eula. The fact that you didn't get a job because that person didn't want loops used has nothing to do with the legality of using apple loops professionaly.
@Captnuendo, Jay-Z used apple loops for the beat in Rihanna's Umbrella so using them in music is fine, but you can't sell them as loops on their own, which is not what is happening here, its a demonstration!
Actually Logic in general has gone down in price since version 8 came out, at least in Australia. The price for the full version is around $250-300, and I upgraded from Logic Express 7 (for which I paid $500, admittedly) for only $120, which is a serious upgrade from the previous version.
In any case, this is a very nice use of loops here, great work!
What would you recommend to interface MIDI and 16 track AUDIO with Logic 8 using a G5, 2.0 GH, dual processor using Leopard. It seems this is an area that few know little about. I have made quite a few post about this subject, and still no responses to date. I am making great strides doing my own research, but still looking for input from Logic 8 users who are serious about their music in getting the most out of Logic 8.
I don't know what people are bitching about. This is a blast. You have to be damn musical to put loops together this creatively and effectively. What a great demo of Logic and the loops, too. Thanks. If this came on my radio, I'd break into a big smile and turn it up.
But Man, this is some good stuff right here. Not only was it good to listen to but its like something that i would want on my ipod!! Send it to meeee haha.
I would listen to this everyday. . . No Joke. Nice Bass.
ye offcorse it sounds great but dont act as if you didnt go in and bundle aload of free samples in there. when u can make that kinda music from scratch then u fair enough you will then be very talented. as for now, all you are is familiar with the program.
It's just extra features, extra channels, and it can handle more tracks. If you're not looking for a quality professional sound, then logic express would be absolutely fine for you.
Damn, That sounds great! The guitar solo shreds! Is that you playing or is it a sample? I am trying to learn Pro tools but I hate it. Nothing seems to work right. Is Logic hard to use? I am very new to computers in general and I'd like a simple program to make music with. Pro tools seems over my head, too complicated and buggy. How long did it take for you to learn to do this in Logic? Keep at it beacause it sounds awesome! Peace.
dude... that looks so fun. im only twelve so i cant by that but i have garageband and an intrface but i cant figure out how to hook it up to my garageband for recording.
Sounds good. Do those drums samples only come with Logic Pro? I'm using Logic Express and I don't know that I have those quality drum samples. I guess they're all programmed. What's the drum patch called?

Question:
I have no sound card for my Power MAC G5, 2.0 GHz with Dual Processors.
What sound card would you recommend to get the most out of Mac's Logic Pro 8?
Thanks in advance. Extremely nice work by the way!

Don't be a hater for no reason.
If you're in a position to judge then upload some videos of your own.....

what mac do you have? you don't really need an interface most of the time if you have an audio in. just a few adapters and a cable

TY markus777
The Drum samples (most of them) in this song are programed with Spectrasonics Stylus RMX software which I use as a Plugin in Logic Studio.
Stylus RMX is not an internal part of Logic.
