no, its a ground effect aircraft, it can only go up to a maximum of about, 70ft before ground effect runs out

I love the ekranoplan.. especially the sea monster.

Hey, tip.. your takeoff and landings will be much smoother if who ever created it did their homework. You should be able to vector the thrust of all your engines to takeoff and landing mode where it forces the exhause under the wings and makes it respond much like a hovercraft. There should be 4 switches to duct the engines in pairs down.

True, but kind of untrue as well. the ekranoplans fall under the juristiction of ground effect vehicles, crafts that take advantige of something called ground effect, where it creates pressure against the ground. these vehicles are capable of flying quite a long distance off the ground, but are not capable of flight in the way that airplanes are. the purpose of ekranoplans was to create a craft that could fly below radar but achieve superior speed.
