Wow! YouTube is truly bringing me back to the times when music was more the music it was art. I am 39 and I remember parachute pants and torn up pants and bleached out pants. All the fads back in my day.the big hair and the coming of guys have pierced ears and nose rings. I love all these old love songs. Wait did I say old? That makes me old then oh my ;-( I want to say thanks to all that has uploaded all these fabulous old love songs. the 70s and the 80s were great.
Why can't music ever be like this again, I remember when MTV and VH1 use to bring family together by showing good music videos, decent of relating our everyday lives to whether we're falling in love, need strength, music back then use to be morally uplifting. What's up with this generation's Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus weird sensations? I just don't get the caliber of musical intelligence in today's youth, it's a mystery.
This is dedicated Rebecca Sanders, known to me Becky BOO BOO...I love you.You taught me the significance of manhood by being who you are naturally ...a real woman, and for that I Love YOU.

there are so lil amount of songs that have feeling not that those party songs are no good but those songs are about getting drunk wheres the feeling in that theres no emotion its so robotic
Today's music has lost it's essence. When I listen to this song, I can actually FEEL the emotions, now there's nothing. I wish I had been born twenty or thirty years earlier. I would have been able to enjoy the music more fully =(
@bookworm260194 Yeah you pretty much hit the nail on the head and the fact that even young people can see this shows that it must be true. Music is just one element tho...what you are basically saying applies to all aspects of society in the 21st century.
@TheARMAProductions I agree. The shows most definitely remind us of how the oldies actually used to have emotion in the music. What really makes me sad is that kids keep listening to 'music' like Lil Wayne or Lady gaga.
@bookworm260194 Yeah to be honest with you, I lost interest in music from around the late 90's onwards and I'm only 31 (so I'm not that old lol). Money has corrupted the industry just like how it has corrupted all things. All they care about these days is packaged sales which is why they have so much fake hype over these singers you talk about (we can't call them artists as they are not). When you take the hype away from todays singers your left with shit.
@TheARMAProductions I'll agree there. I'm 17 and I usually have to raid my dad's music to find some meaningful songs. I've only managed to find maybe 2-3 singers who actually make music for their fans and for themselves.
@bookworm260194 i am 16 and i only listen to music like this i dont like how the days music talks about drugs and more and people are wondering y teeneagers are doing it now
@bookworm260194 You are wrong about todays music. You have to search long and hard to find the diamonds in the rough. And when you find it, it's like finding buried treasure. You're alive now aren't you? Enjoy it and spread the love.
Sometimes -- not often, but sometimes -- I miss the 80s. No Internet, nor a lotta PCs (being a writer, I composed first drafts in longhand and then revised them on my electric typewriter), nor cell phones -- back then we read a lotta books and magazines in print, watched cable TV and VHS videos, and spoke with our friends over the (NON-cell) phone. Also watched a ton of MTV:) --
I do not miss the 80's, probably because I wasn't born during that time but, that would be bad. Think about how much medical science has progressed and how many lives we've been able to save.
@MegaHardcore76..... I agree with you! I'm a hopeless romantic too and this song does bring tears to my eyes....Truly I wish there will be more songs like this....
@ unused I know how you feel my boyfriend walked out on me several months ago an the pain in my heart is still fresh an all i want his for him to come home.
Love this song. Im 34 and im a hopeless romantic. What happened to all the beautiful music. This song is deep. Wish i had someone to cuddle and listen to this with.
the 70's were for rock and roll and dico the 80's was for romance,I,ve been with a lot of woman in the 70,s but meet the love of my life in the 80,s. Still married 25 yrs later and still look at her as if I just seen her for the first time GOD AND LOVE IS GREAT
Well as a child of the 80s (I was born in the mid 80s) I can say that many of my generation don't appreciate this music, but there are many the other way around. I don't think you'll win more converts by bashing today's music. The best you can do is expose the future generations to it and hope they'll come to the same realization. Putting down music most of us like won't get you anywhere and I'm saying this as someone that doesn't like a lot of today's music.
Loved this song since I was a girl. I remember I stayed up all night just to watch the video on VH1. I wonder what happened to this group. Thanks for posting.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
@ercoman53 Yeah, I don't understand those people either. The guy sings "You relieve my sadness." I think that's really sweet, and it makes me feel... not sad. What could be better when you feel sad than to be around someone who takes away the sadness?

I couldn't agree more i loved the 80s music when i was growing up in my teenage years. I loved Kate Bush i had such a crush on her, my football team i actually enjoyed watching, The Goonies came out at the cinema & i got to stay up late watching TV with my nan & Grandad on a Saturday night (RIP). Happier times wish i was back there with no cares & no worries, my first kiss & the world made sense. Thankfully tunes like this help to bring back those times :)
I LOVE how there's an ad for Toyota just to the right, and then I have to sit through a commercial for the same product. Stare obediently at the telescreen, comrades.

@kcalbraeb ......I could'nt agree with you more...you said it! We are very fortunate to have been part of this Era and I would give anything to stay living in the time....Wished I could turn back time!...These were the Best years of my Life and I am so Grateful to God that I got not only to experience this But Live it to the fullest! Iearned so much from this Era and thats Why, most of us from this Time wear our Hearts on our Sleeves!
not over a week ago, a very dear friend of my husband was laid to rest. this song was played by his family during the burial and it was a very emotionally charged moment. i couldn't have chosen any other song. RIP Paul.
A very painful song for me. This was very popular when I was a senior and very much in love. She became pregnant, needless to say her parents forbid us from seeing each other.I never seen her again I went to law school and married she married and moved to California where she lives now with a beautiful daughter.I tried to message her her on Face book but she has Ignored my attempts to this point. We danced to this song at senior prom the night she became pregnant.
Music of today has killed romance. Songs like this were played at the end of the disco's. You'd grab the girl you'd been eyeing up all night and the rest is history.... What the hell can you smooch to with todays crap.
@lordofthemanor67 I believe the 80's was one of best times for romance !!! Everything was still innocent and music was filled with real love spilling over in their lyrics today's music doesn't hold a flame to the music of our time...
Eh, you're listening the sounds of a bull market. You think it's coincidence that happy music happens to be made during a time of rising optimism? There's an energy in these old 80s songs.
the 80's is the produck of centries of music reaching it's peak and a new thought that there is no rules in music just do what sounds good to you.and the birth of electronic sounds.unfortionatly reagan did his damage he broke stong unions and put all the power back in to the hands or the wealthy
@Musiccatcher1 Well, not ALL the music. Try Zac Brown's "Free". The version where he sings it on Letterman is on YouTube-listen to the lyrics-they're really good and so appropriate for these tough times.
I was born in 1992, and I love a lot of the songs from the 80's. Especially this song. I think that the younger generation should give the 80's a chance and respect the music from then. It's really amazing music. I wished I could've lived back in the 80's lol My mom grew up with the 80's cuz she was born in 1969.
My son is 18 and says its a bummer he didnt live the 80s. I was 15 in 1980 and got married at age 25 in 1989. Best times of my life....no doubt. The economy got good, Reagan too over, there was pride in our country, the music was AWESOME, Communism and the Berlin Wall fell apart. talk about PARTY TIME!!! Those of us who lived ,partied, and enJOYED those years will never forget it...
Born in 75. 5-15 in the 80's what an influintial time for me and the Mighty 690 out of LA was my favorite radio station. Good song thanks for the post!
@PlanTonto Show me any world leader from any so called democracy that hasn't got blood on their hands......Our lying ex tosspot of a PM Tony Blair could have bathed in the stuff!
@wolverine37x Yes Wolverine, they all do to some degree. But I guess you didn't watch your friends die of AIDS in the early 80's when Reagan was the LAST person in the US to admit there was even a problem. The Surgeon General had to finally step on his toes and whisper in his ear that this was potentially a problem of great magnitude and it was because it was infecting MAINLY the homosexual race that kept Reagan sitting back and filing his nails until he was finally forced to deal with it.
@CaptainTeezy I can tell you are super intelligent. Just the type Republicans target. Im fairly certain your life is fairly meaningless. Im willing to bet on it...
@techytech1 techtech1 are you a historian with the updates to what we should remember of the past!!!!! Falling apart for Party Time!!!!! never forget it.....
i agree with you!!! I'am 35 years old now and the 80's were awesome :) !!! So many better things like Music, toys .... I love the 80's and will always remeber this beatiful time where i had so many fun in my life.
@techytech1 guess you forgot about that video Phil Collins did gigging Ronnie...That was also a GREAT song...I finally got my life back in the eighties after Johnson and Nixon fucked me over in the sixties, and seventies after returning from Nam...Party on...
@techytech1 I would agree your son's opinion! I still recall this music being played in the radio during my early childhood...nice memories from times when life wasn't this accelerated as it is nowadays.
i love the 80s music had more meaning and nice melodies....i hve mostly all 80s on my iphone,,,sometimes i just get lost listening to songs like these, and im loving it
@techytech1 Beautiful thoughts and memories. The very BEST of times, indeed...music, school, the country, movies, just the culture in general. Up to US to keep it alive now for OUR kids, bro!
This song has all the perfection there is: message to touch your heart, sweet voice, great balance, great sounds...And the video is just perfect to this theme! :)Much love to you! Have a nice day today***
PAUROGER IS RIGHT ABOUT WHAT HE WROTE. I WAS BORN IN 1985 AND BY THIS TIME I SHOULD BE LISTENING TO THE NEW TYPE OF MUSIC BUT I GUESS I LOVE THE SOFT ROCK MUSIC. IT MAKES ME RELAX AND THINK OF MY DAYS IN SCHOOL WHEN I FIRST MET MY FIRST GIRL IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AT AGE 12. NICE SONG AND THANKS YOU FOR UPLOADING IT AND PUTTIN THE LYRICS.
I'm 39 this year....I believed that if we intro this song to the younger generation...they will defintely love it too....this song really brings back the memories in my younger days when i was only 23. Luv it so much!

@bookworm260194 Yeah you pretty much hit the nail on the head and the fact that even young people can see this shows that it must be true. What put the nail in the coffin for real emotion in music was shows such as Xfactor. What that did was essentially turn the music Industry into a packaged entertainment one. Music is just one element tho...what you are basically saying applies to all aspects of society in the 21st century.

Iearned so much from this Era and thats Why, most of us from this Time wear our Hearts on our Sleeves!

Billboard's #9 hit of '88. Breathe hit #2 pop, and, AC, in the US. I read that it only hit #12 in the UK. God bless!

What the hell can you smooch to with todays crap.
lordofthemanor67 1 year ago 36
@lordofthemanor67 I believe the 80's was one of best times for romance !!! Everything was still innocent and music was filled with real love spilling over in their lyrics today's music doesn't hold a flame to the music of our time...
sunnee1976 9 months ago 52
@sunnee1976

@PlanTonto AIDs wasnt a problem unless you were some fag hippie liberal who fucked a lot of other dirty hippie liberals with AIDs...it was awesome!
