I think there's no better version, Burdon and Cohen sing another song at all, they have other styles. It doesn't matter who is the better singer, it's depends on which style do you like. and I prefer Eric. but that's just my opinion

What a beautifull song! I love this one! One of my alltime favourites and I still can remember listening to it for the first time after the concert of Eric Burdon and Christoph Steinbach in Stuttgart/Villa Berg during Eric's book-tour in 2004. It came out of the speakers when the lights went on and was not released at this time, yet. I had to wait for 2 long weeks to buy the album.
