  • Act now? In what way? Aren't you pontificating by making this spliced clip mixed video? What do you mean by current form of globalization? This video is intellectually meaningless.

  • Love your voice!

  • Hey, Kirsty, congrats! Guys, will you tell us, PLEASE, how wasit there, at the meeting? :)

Did you have an opportunity to talk with UN leaders? With the world leaders? What was the dress code? You owe us this ;)

Can't wait for further hearing from the winners! :)))

  • Good job, you were one of the few contestants who did not use the full time allotted. You said what you wanted to say, there it is. An important message -Congratulations on the win

  • Well Done! & To the point(S)!

  • Excellent message Kirsty!

You fully deserve what comes your way for what you believe in...well done!

    Love from

    Lolly B and Nelson

  • You may just be the coolest single mom in the world.

  • Congratulations to all the winners and good luck in NY.

I hope that someday we all achieve your desire to make the world better and safer place.

I consider myself a winner too. I had the opportunity to speak to the world and share my story with you all.

    So thank you UN!

    To the fellow participants:

Never give up on your dreams!!!

  • Best wishes on your new endeavor. As a word of encouragement, I'd like to share some wisdom from a distinguished historian I once knew:

"Though it seems that the day-to-day trend in history is generally down, from time to time a few people get together to lift humanity higher than it's ever been before."

Thanks for daring to be one of those people.

Since you're my ambassador now, please watch the two videos I submitted. Perhaps my ideas can still be of use.

    Thanks again, and good luck.

  • "Resources need to be more equalably distributed"

Just giving people food and cloths can only last for so long, you have to give people KNOWLEGE, teach them how to make their own cloths, farm their own land,....i outlined all these solutions in my video, but your crap video won.

"Dependance on oil must be irradicated" Wow, noone ever thought of that...Did you hear any of the debates in the US presidential election, you ever listen to Al Gore, EVERYONE KNOWS THIS!,

  • but HOW, !!!!!!!!!HOW!!!!!!, this contest, again, is for SOLUTIONS, not to reoutline problems

  • I semi agree and aside from my problem with a few images in this particular entry, the little "CIA" plug, we should admit that Kirtsy is truly interested in listening to divergent opinions in a fair-minded way. That is priceless! Someone who can learn so fast can do wonderful things! Wouldn't you agree. There are three videos I really have serious qualms about: the one with the "Jesus is the way" comment, the one made by a Pro-Photographer who abused a personal tragedy, and the other mutiplicity

  • Congrats. I love your comment over the world leaders... Have fun in New York.

  • My original comment: You are exploiting 911's horrific tragedy for the production of this video in a way that I find improper. You quote an agency of our government that needs no publicity (I know a few of the fine people who work(ed) there). While your video tells leaders that general things need to be done....nothing new at all.... you offered no practical solutions and you did not seek to empower others to be heard the way I do in my own submitted video. This was not creative or compelling.

  • free advice man. I thought about responding to your original comments, but I dont think you're interested in dialogue. I do believe in democracy and expressing alternat opinions, but I dont believe in hurling abuse at one another, your comments just degenerate this forum into mud slinging.

  • I am sorry that I offended you. I never made this video to win a contest. I did it because I believe in justice and because I cant sit back and watch people suffer outrageous cruelty and neglect, and do nothing about it. I agree that my video was neither terribly creative nor terribly compelling, I am sure there were more deserving videos out there. I commend you on 'seeking to empower others to heard' in your video and I take your criticism that I did not do this.

  • Maybe, instead of bickering, we can work together to give those people a voice and to find practical solutions to the global issue that you and I both care so much about.

  • We have entered the Chief's teepee and smoked the proverbial peace pipe and have hugged one another as flawed human beings! That is to say: the above chain of comments is rendered historical footnotes and we are willing to put differences aside and work towards a common goal. Peace & Love, JP Fenyo.

  • sour grapes??

  • Great video, I think she really deserves it. Mine was really poor compared to this, but maybe more focused.

  • The fact that you feel you have to delete critical comments tells us a lot about your mindset... You are not a supporter of freedom of expression. I love many things from Canada...including SCTV, the late John Candy and PM Pierre Trudeau...but not this attitude of silencing critics! It is a virtue to be able to take criticism, not a weakness!

  • WINNER! Congrats!

  • I don't think doing a speech about globalization is a bad idea. Its way too controversial. also saying "asses" on a video for the UN leaders? just plain out rude.

But the video editing ,etc was. good.
