Damm girl in the wight shirt I think I love u I go to the silver spring school of rock I play the drums. The beats in that. Song are sick I think I want u on my disco stick
I just found the original 80s video for Escalator of Life. Apparently, production was paid for by the Cigarette industry. If this is the same guy who sang in the video, he pretty well illustrates what ciggy-poos will do to you. The song, itself, absolutely defined my life in the '80s. Horrible to see it defiled with all that smoking. Actually, the original video was on the same level of taste and class with the 80s pornflick 'Dynastud'. (tacky, tacky, tacky). This version is better.
I am shocked to hear that Robert has passed. He was a good man, as shone in this video workin with these kids, happily, our future generations. RIP God bless you.......
LOVE IT!!! Great to hear Rober Hazard peform this FABULOUS song again. I saw him once in the Philly area, maybe 25 years ago or so, at a radio/talent promoter meeting.
Only saw Robert Hazard once, I believe it was in 1982 when he opened a five band card featuring A Flock of Seagulls, Elvis Costello, Blondie, and Genesis. Remember thinking at the time that despite being basically a local act, Robert and his band played a strong set on par with the bigger name nationally touring acts.
It probably was, it was in the stadium where the Army Navy football game used to be played. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the stadium!! Great show, Robert Hazard and Blondie both played great sets, I remember that.
My neighbor played in the Heroes for a little while. The kids need to work a little on their stage presence, but they've got their chops down for this song. Robert Hazard still sounds good and hopefully we'll see more of these kids in the future.
HA - very good. I passed on seeing Robert Hazard for the second year in a row. I'm just not into his country stuff. But if he decides to do a reunion with the Heroes (or these kids), I would love to see him.

tedracefan,
Thanks for your post.
I was trying to remember when I saw him and I think it was the show you are describing(maybe in the field behind the old Spectrum?)
I miss him already...
