  • that snare sounds sooooo goood

  • ...why is avril lavigne in the related videos section???

  • i named my guitar after this song...:)

  • Could be the best rock band out there today...

  • This band is amazing

  • btbam never ceases to amaze me. drifting between meters, writing the most technically amazing stuff on the planet - it's become this band's trademark.

and no, i don't think it's physically possible for them to write a bad song.

  • this are guest vocals? oO

  • Guest vocals? What do you mean

  • like they hired a singer just for this song

  • for colors or mordecai

  • No, he was just praising their song Prequel to the Sequel, a song which does have guest vocals.

  • preaty sure is the pianist singing..

  • THAT'S NOT TRUE! THE SINGER IS SONNY MOORE! LEARN YOUR BTBAM SCRUB! This is a fusion band of From First to Last and Jimmy Eat World DUH.

  • i think its powerful but in a different way. I still get chills from the songs, but the songs don't mean as much to me as mordecai does.

  • does anyone know what guitar Nick (rythym) is playing?

  • it looks like a kramer

but i'm pretty sure BTBAM plays mostly Ibanez

  • do you know what amps they use?

    and yeah, they're both Ibanez

  • i think they use Mesa cabs, paul uses a peavey 5150 (dunno if he still does) head on stage, dustie uses a Mesa Dual rectifier roadster head on stage as well, but back in the studio i think dustie started using orange amps

and i heard with guitars theyre also packing PRS guitars

  • they use a range of amps for effect, i think paul uses mesa boogies and a few more. dusty uses orange ones i think.

  • That entire album knocked me off my feet.

  • DUDE. The intro to Prequel to the Sequel!

Ants of the Sky! Sun of Nothing! Tell me it doesn't blow your mind.

  • yeah prequel to the sequel is my fav track off of colors i think. the part where the guest vocals come in is so powerful and amazing. and this song is amazingly powerful too. but i watched an interview by btbam and they said that colors IS btbam but i love all their music.

  • Well, it might be one of the best personifications of what the band is about. HOWEVER...!! We gotta keep true to the music we like from them too. Don't let Tommy and Co. Think they're a one trick pony, guys. :D

  • yes definitely man, they said in another interview that, after there this last american tour for colors they're hitting the studio again.

  • Yeah I thoroughly disagree as well. I don't think the evolution of their sound from Silent Circus into the sound in Colors has anything to do with wanting to please anybody other than the band themselves.

  • starts out ugly and brutal; ends beautiful. love it.

  • hey grind ever seen them live if you have you wouldnt have said that.

  • this is probably one of the best songs ever written.

  • sorry but I disagree, I think these guys would be the last to suck up to someone, whether it be scene kids or the more conservative spectrum of metal

  • one word: Genius

  • Love it. One of the best intro's ive ever heard.

  • such a victorious sounding ending. amazing song, amazing band

  • blows my mind from 2:35 till the end its so amazing and the first part is still pretty sweet

  • omg when the song calms down and tommy starts singing it fucking sends me chills. its that amazing

  • wow the end is amazing. selkies is way better tho ;P

  • white walls is better!

  • ANTS OF THE SKY

  • Agreed :D

  • white walls is amazing.

  • well true that, but i think this song has a lot more power condensed in it. white walls is epic, but maybe it could have been 5 minutes shorter.

  • white walls live fucking rules!!!!

  • but then it just wouldn't be White Walls,

  • I can agree to that. I think it should've ended shortly after the epic screaming of "White Wall!", but that is just me.

  • ''hardcore'' stupid ass motherfuckers

  • this video's helped put a new interpretation on the song for me. everything appears so jaded and surreal from perspective of the central figure, seeming as if the boundaries of reality have become blurred for whatever reason. but he becomes resentful of possibly the only thing he can or could feel content alongside. it seems this attachement to reality is what he ultimately destroys. ironically i feel he makes a more constructive move by consciously embracing insanity.. or whatever. great song

  • God...what inspired that solo? It's so fucking awesome

  • i dont get the video ha awesome song tho

  • Lol this video is so random. I love it

  • awesome song, fucking terrible video

  • best fucking band

  • who cares if theyre not death metal tbh. Im a massive death metal fan but it can become a bit monotonous, so bands like this are good cus they change into the clean vocals every now and then

  • i love it when it calms down, does anyone know anyother bands like the last bit?

  • try some post-rock like pelican or russian circles for that kinda feel

  • WHAT AN EPIC SONG!!!!!

  • EPIC great end to the song...these dudes can play

  • And everyone's putting a brand on them. They're Metal... that's just it...

Yeah they're melodic, yeah they're technical, yeah they're slightly grind influenced... but they're not any of that, they're musicians... or just Metal, plain and simple.

    Name brands only seperate

  • im not trying to fit them into a "scene", a term in which i dont believe, im just trying to define their music. Im prefectly fine with calling them musicians music or progressive metal or any of that, but why make a fuss out of me trying to classify them ?

  • Wasn't a stab at you man, just speaking in general towards people who DO fit particular bands into scenes or categories.

Attempting to define a music genre's fine, I just don't like people saying , FUCK YOU they're not Death Metal!

NO FUCK YOU THEY're NOT Grindcore!

You want their genre best fulfilled? I'd call them "OH DEAR GOD, ::towel needed::"

  • hehe troo

  • BOLB! yeah bet that caught your eye you big fucking wreck-head... how did i know youd be tripping balls on this hmmmmm?

  • gaaramaru what the fuck?

you like the video but not the music

do u not hear that sweep picking...

  • apparently not... only those that listen to Avril will hate this music. :P

  • HAHA! 'Related Videos - Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On' WTF?

How is that related in anyway? YouTube makes me laugh.

  • its obvious, all between the buried and me fans just LOVE avril! lawl big joke there, this song rapes avril a new one in her hoe face.

  • LOL!

    ^Truth.

  • this song rocks

  • progressive metalcore

  • the relly weird thing about them is they dont look like a metal band

  • Im Seening These Sexy Bastards Next Week.

    i CANNOT wait.

ill tell them all you say hi.

  • fucking amazing i wanna see them live so bad

  • what the fuck is that??

  • bonkers like cock

  • I would say they are progessive deathcore o.ö

  • I agree with Dizzwald, math core is vague and ambiguous (math because of the change in time genres? IMO that's a lame classification of btbam). Oh and don't compare btbam to Dillinger plz, their new album is wack.

  • Btbam hasnt been mathcore since Silent Circus, and even then they were more of Progressive Death/Grind than math.

    Now a difinitive classification:

    Semi-technical Progressive Melodic deathgrind-core

  • cause technical is PsyOpus, Necrophagist etc.

I guess i maybe calling them semi-technical because half their songs are not technical and the other half is technical. In the structure of the songs there usually is such a schism also.

  • Listen to Colors... then bite your tounge...

  • Hey stupid guy, Between the buried and me isn´t screamo, they´re a Metal Core Band and their music is great. I like to listen Brutal Death Metal but it doesn´t seems i don´t like this kind of music. Between the buried and me and Into the Moat rules!!!

  • The ending is painfully beautiful. A true masterpiece.

  • My god this song is genius, the ending is amazing

  • ew, screw you man, don't listen to it if you don't like it.

  • i can go without the screaming bc these guys are very great and if u could appreciate different kinds of music ud like them to. theyre great composers.

  • in b4 shitstorm

  • Love this song!

  • I have loved this band for a very long time. It is exciting to me to see how their fan base has grown. I'm extremely excited that people recognize their incredible talent and beautiful music. Long live BTBAM :D

  • If anyone wants to help me dis that mother fucker Weird al help me just type in pokarama god thats a gay song

  • fucking beautiful song. Truly a masterpiece of a song.

  • I Second That :)

  • This song is a masterpiece...

  • I Second That Also

  • eh yes it is

  • eh not it isn't

  • the screaming part is weird

  • Beautiful and breath taking. But that video...looks like something someone on Salvia would see...

  • haha sssssslaayyeerrrrr is gay

  • yes, very good song indeed.

  • neither can i

  • I can't stop listening to this song

  • i like it

  • You are all extremely stupid. They are one of the most genius group of musicians in todays music scene. Seriously. look up their tabs, go to their concerts, then you'll understand.

  • I'd have to disagree, Despised Icon is one of my favorite bands, but compared to BTBAM they are more simplistic, These guys are more progressive, I'd suggest listeing to more of thier songs before putting them in the vein of job for a cowboy, through the eyes of the dead and despised icon.

  • i might be unhealthily obsessed with this song and video

  • This song represents what you wish you could say, but you know you can't.

    ...it does to me anyway.

  • emo sucks! the last half is progressive metal

  • labels are for the weak;)

  • ..the endings not emo, just awesome music, if you dont like how the song ends, you shouldnt like BTBAM really at all, they make everything flow / sound so amazing :DD

  • i luv the first half but its gets a little too emo for my tastes at the end

  • ...how the hell can you say that? well im not going to argue but there is a reason why he starts singing soft. well you have to understand what the album is about. that gives it a balance which kicks ass, just ask brian posehn lol

  • i love how the end solo starts when the guy gives his body to the girl he crippled...

  • not the best band to ever exist. but pretty fucking talented.

  • so shit^^

  • Please tell me what is so shit about this video?

  • everything because you have watched it

  • you are the biggest shit
