God damn hockey skaters... Us speed skaters would never pull that shit. How can some idiot take the chance of damaging the machine - at least he had the smarts to lift the conditioner off the ice.
wow... what a way to wreck the studs and the drive shaft...yeah i get drifting around a turn but to do that like common my boss would have my head... thats a $150 000 machine...
haha first of all the spikes on the tires aren't big enough to cause any serious damage and they have to scrape the ice anyways so its no big deal if the tires leave any damage
To all of those poseurs who think that all of this is easy
It is not.
Anyone can drive a machine but only a few can actually use it to make ice.a good driver can be out in the middle of the desert as long as the surface is 20 degrees a full flood with 140 degree h2o can be done and frozen in ten minutes. And be smoother than a virgin you know what. Most poseurs turn it on hop on drive the pattern turn on the water and go from there.
the tires must be balled or the studs are falling out he doesnt have the conditioner down so its bad tires its easy to swing it with the conditioner down and blade up .but i never abuse our machine at the Little Current Arena.
XD the zamboni i drive has virtually bald tires (for a zamboni anyway), so i cant help but slide; it only gouges the ice if your shaving way too much but the towel does leave a streak that doesnt get flood water
that doesnt do anything bad 2 the ice i do it all the time lol but my manager is a drunk so he dont care ither and that woudlnt do anything 2the ice cuz the conditioners up meaning thers no blade on the ice
Haha. Wish our zamboni driver down here at Mercyhurst would do that. Yeah, I know, I know, you guys owned us over the weekend. Oh well. Yeah, we're not doing so hot this year. Definitely a little different than we're used to.

Well that ice is screwed now. Their will be a bunch of holes in the ice from the spikes on the tires.
grantisdaman12 3 years ago
the water will just fill the holes anyway so it will freze over night

Thats a really nice rink. The ice doesn't look like it sucks like around my place. Is that a gasoline zamboni? I don't see propane tanks.
